What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioning unit, cleaning clothing, seeing TV, cooking supper. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are substantial, lots of residents find that the benefit, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more enticing.

Top Ten Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically decrease or perhaps eliminate your electric costs

Whether you're a property owner, service, or nonprofit, electrical energy costs can make up a big part of your month-to-month expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your energy bills and you'll still save a lot of loan.

#2 Earn a great return on your investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the best ways to invest, with returns equaling those of more traditional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical power costs cost savings, the typical American homeowner settles their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against rising energy expenses

Among the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge energy rates. In the previous 10 years, property electricity rates have gone up by an average of three percent each year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical power rate and protect versus unpredictable boosts in electrical power costs. If you're a service or house owner with ever-changing money flow, going solar likewise assists you much better forecast and manage your expenditures.

#4 Increase your home worth

Numerous studies have actually discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have higher property values and sell quicker than non-solar houses. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar installations into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more educated about solar, need for homes geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential element of achieving energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electrical energy from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from cost variations in global energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and help your local economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar industry included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This development is anticipated to continue. Because solar-related jobs have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is an excellent method to lower your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A typical domestic photovoltaic panel system will remove three to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are essential elements of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line results. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding services that decide to operate properly. Services are discovering that "green" qualifications are an effective chauffeur of consumer purchasing choices, creating goodwill and improving company outcomes.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no cash down.

Lots of homeowners choose to fund their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar supplier-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, upkeep, tracking and repair works. You simply pay the solar company for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy companies are well-known for their fluctuating and undependable electricity rates. There is plainly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and basic mathematics, we can compute what does it cost? electrical energy will be generated, and most notably, at what rate, for at least the next 20 years (fixed energy costs).

Financing

Frequently Asked Questions

Where Does All The Energy That Fuels Life Come From?

Almost all the energy that we have is from the Sun.

The energy for life comes from photosynthesis, even carnivores are getting their energy indirectly from the Sun as their energy source are the animals they eat and those animals probably get the energy from eating plants which of course gets it from the Sun.

Fossil Fuels are also solar energy, just ancient solar energy from millions of years ago.

Wind energy is from the uneven heating of the atmosphere by the Sun.

Wave energy is from the interaction of a body of water with the wind.

Hydro power is from the evaporation of water by the Sun and the subsequent precipitation at higher altitudes.

The only energy that isn't from the Sun are nuclear, tidal ( it's from Earth's rotation and the Moon's orbit ), and geothermal.

Lets Say In The Not So Distant Future?
Human Successfully Eleminated Most Of The Fosil Feul Use, Will Mother Nature Ever Recover From The Man-Made Air Polution? Will The Ozone Layer Repaire Itself? And How Long Will The Rejuvination Takes?

there's no question that we'll eliminate fossil fuel use.
the only question is, will we decide to, or will we just run out?

one might note that the ozone hole is currently repairing itself, because the world has mostly stopped producing and using CFCs. it's not fixed, but it will be. CO2 is very different. the needs and alternatives are not available, as they were with CFCs. in addition, there was financial gain for many corporations by replacing CFCs. with CO2, many corporations see only financial loss if we reduce fossil fuel use.

let's assume that once the current administration is gone, the country will come around to where the rest of the world is, and it'll be by decision.

one might also differentiate between CO2 and other types of pollution. clearly the air in many countries is far cleaner than it was 40 years ago. seems that when burning coal, it is possible to reduce most of the polutants that are generated. it is not possible to reduce the CO2. CO2 is what you get when you burn coal. No CO2 means no energy. it's a very different problem.

SO, what about CO2? that will be addressed when countries find other energy sources. what sources? Nuclear, solar, wind, ???? clearly the world will change. however, there's so much benefit to coal and oil that it will not be easy. you might look at something i put together the other day concerning the energy content of corn and Big Macs and oil. migrating away from coal and oil will be very difficult.

the other part of your question is, "how long will it take?"
and no-one knows. in part it depends on how fast we get off fossil fuels. it also depends on whether or not we find anything that helps absorb the CO2 that we're already released. If we stopped instantly today, the world will continue to warm. for several decades at least.

a huge part of the problem is world population. as the population increases, then food requirement increases. and that is related to the energy required, and the land required to produce that food.

so population increase and fossil fuel use are related, and together tend to make AGW worse. i have to assume that this has been incorporated into the climate models, but i haven't seen any verification that it's true.

What Are The Advantages Of Solar Energy In Detail?
No Trolling .I Will Report If I Get Funny Answers .I Am Desperate N Need An Answer Soon.

Hey Mary, let me see if I can help. If you invest properly in solar power today and take advantage of any grants and tax incentives, even if your electric rates do not go up as they are forecast too, you will get your money back over time, well within the lifetime of the equipment, and sooner if there is a rate increase in the future. There are also enviromental benefits. At one time there was an argument that a solar panel will never produce as much power as was used to manufacture it. First of all, this is not correct. The, "Embodied Energy," in a solar panel is earned back in 2 - 6 years, depending on the type panel, where the raw materials were shipped from, and how it was installed and used in the end. Most panels are warrantied to last at least 25 years, and most last much longer than that. But the argument is not important anyway. We have been living with electricity for over a century now, so it isn't going away anytime soon. The question is, "What is the best way to produce it?" If you build a panel, and put it along side a similar sized natural gas fired turbine generator for example, which earns back its embodied energy sooner? The answer is the gas turbine never does, because once you build it, ship it and install it, you now have to feed it natural gas for the rest of its life, so it keeps on digging itself a deeper and deeper embodied energy hole that it can never crawl out of. At least the panel has a chance to get even environmentally. So manufacturing and using solar panels in the end releases less pollution into our environment.

There are also mechanical and political benefits. We all know after the oil embargo of 1973, and the gulf war what it means for our country to rely on foreign oil. Wouldn't it be nice if we only shipped in 20% of our energy instead of 60% the next time something like that happens? Our home has been powered by the wind and sun for years now, but we still remain connected to the electric grid. Last year alone there were two power failures in our county that lasted about a half day each. In both cases, we were not aware of them because our solar array kept on feeding the house. It's difficult to put a price tag on something like that. Did you know that there are over 100,000 homes and businesses in the United States alone that use some level of solar power to operate their electrical devices, that's good news.

Beyond the mechanical, political and environmental benefits however, lies a less obvious benefit, the social benefit. Right now we pump oil out of the ground, and mine for coal. The process of getting those materials to market involves shipping, military escorts and other activities that use up a good portion of that energy as well as putting lives at risk. Jobs in solar power are higher tech than jobs in coal mining, oil drilling and shipping, and there are more of them. Using more solar power would require us to put more people to work, and increase our education base because the work involved requires certain skills. I would personally like to take all those people out of the coal mines, send them to school and put them to work building solar panels. Nobody would have to die again in one of those dark holes in the ground trying to find food for our hungry power plants. They could work on a factory floor where they would not be exposed to coal dust, radon and other toxins and dangers. Most of our solar and wind resources are spread pretty evenly over the middle half of our globe, so everyone has access. This puts people in Bogota on a more equal footing with people in Boca Raton by giving them access to electricity, heat and clean water, and the education to use the solar resources that provide those things. Oil, coal and natural gas is generally piled up in a few places, such as Russia and the Middle East. This gives those countries and the richer governments that rule them more horse power in bargaining for the other resources of our planet. These are the things that wars are made of.

There are other reasons, but I think you get the picture. For us, renewable energy has become something of a hobby It will probably never save us any real money, utility power in most places is really very inexpensive, but it's a little like growing your own tomatoes. It's usually cheaper to buy them at the grocery, but lots of people go to the work and expense to maintain a garden instead. We just grow electrons in ours. If you really want to learn more about the subject, there are some great sources to look into, I will list some below. Good luck, and take care, Rudydoo

Where Can I Find Solar Energy Kit Step-By-Step Book?

What kind of solar energy?

If you just want to do something for fun, try instructables.com

solarcooking.org is a great resource for making and buying solar cookers.

For solar thermal, it's mainly plumbing and roofing. You would want to read up on these skills before attempting such a thing. Or call a pro, solar hot water is not that expensive.

For solar electric, it's mainly roofing and electrical work. But additionally, a photovoltaic system is sensitive to shading, where a solar thermal system would be forgiving. It's possible to do it on your own, but since it's an investment that you want to work for years to come, you might want to go with a pro there, too.

Avoid those online e-books that suggest you can power your house for $200 by building your own panels. Those are borderline scams. The information they give you is commonly available public information.

Which Alternative Energy Source Is Best?
Hey There! Which Alternative Energy Source Is Best For The World In Your Opinion? While Answering, Please Consider The Following: 1) The Environment, Processes, 2) Economy $, Price

It doesn't matter. Laws of physics say energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Solar energy takes a lower form of energy to the masses. we'd have to lower the population to about 2.1 billion (that's killing off 4.7 billion people) to live off solar power the way an American does. Harnessing wind has devastating effects on the climate. The highest form of energies would be electric and nuclear, but we have no clean ways of renewing them. The greatest proposal I have recently been a part of is not implementable. Having a satelite beam microwaves to recievers transmiting clean energy at no cost to us.
