About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for home owners to use the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioner, cleaning clothing, viewing TV, cooking supper. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are considerable, numerous residents discover that the convenience, distinct features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.
Top Ten Benefits of Solar Energy
#1 Dramatically decrease or perhaps remove your electrical costs
Whether you're a property owner, business, or not-for-profit, electrical energy costs can comprise a big portion of your monthly expenditures. With a solar panel system, you'll produce complimentary power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will reduce your utility bills and you'll still save a lot of money.
#2 Make a fantastic return on your financial investment
Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the finest ways to invest, with returns equaling those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electricity bill cost savings, the typical American property owner pays off their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Safeguard versus rising energy costs
One of the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, property electricity costs have increased by an average of three percent yearly. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical power rate and safeguard against unpredictable increases in electrical power costs. If you're a service or homeowner with rising and falling capital, going solar likewise helps you much better projection and handle your costs.
#4 Boost your house worth
Several research studies have discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property values and offer faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, demand for homes equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Increase U.S. energy independence
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial component of attaining energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electricity from the sun, we can likewise insulate our country from cost variations in international energy markets.
#6 Create jobs and assist your local economy
Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar industry included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is expected to continue. Since solar-related tasks have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable factor to the United States economy.
#7 Protect the environment
Solar is a terrific way to reduce your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical property photovoltaic panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 loads of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees each year.
#8 Show your commitment to sustainability
Sustainability and business social duty are essential components of a company's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Significantly, consumers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding businesses that opt to run responsibly. Services are finding that "green" qualifications are an effective chauffeur of consumer buying decisions, producing goodwill and enhancing organisation results.
#9 Start Conserving from Day 1
Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no cash down.
Lots of homeowners decide to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This suggests that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, maintenance, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility company.
Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Investment
The energy companies are infamous for their varying and undependable electrical power costs. There is clearly an upward trend.
With photovoltaic panels and simple math, we can determine just how much electrical energy will be generated, and most significantly, at what price, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy costs).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month
- System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
- Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- We own the solar panel system
- $0 down for installation
- Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use
- Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
- System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
- Receive 30% federal tax credit
- See a return on investment within 7-10 years
What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?
We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.
What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Howmuch Solar Panels I Need To Run Arefun/Tv/And Computer And 5,000Btu Ac?
The AC is the problem. You probably need about 700 to 1000 watts to run all that.
When you include the installation, charge controller, batteries (lots of expensive batteries) and inverter, you are probably looking at US$20,000 or so.
Whereas from the power company, 1000 watts costs about $1000 per year.
I Have Three 130 Watt Solar Panel And 6 Battery Cells Of 2 Volts 550Ah. But My Batteries Are Never Fully Charg?
Can This Amount Of Solar Charge These Batteries.
Well you are stating the solar panel powers but no mention of their voltage????. Yes, they should do the job. I suspect the lack of blocking diodes may be your problem, assuming you have done the homework. You have 6 battery cells at 2 volts each, that is ...err..12 volts, assuming you have them connected in series. Count the number of cells on the solar panels and maybe we have a starting point. One solar cell is 0.6 v, in this case you would need a minimum of around 30 cells (physically it will probably be 32 to make it 'square'), you need a fair bit of over- sizing in that direction. Solar panels are resistive when not illuminated so must have a blocking diode included to prevent the batteries from discharging into the solar panels at night. Check that each array has a blocking diode included, if not add them. Solar power is pretty useless unless you have loads of sunshine. You seem to have gone through a bit of trouble and expense on this one, so give me some basic facts and I will help you through it.
Update 7 Dec If the batteries take 20 hours to fully charge and there are 10 hours of sun each day then the batteries will be fully charged in 2 days. The question was, can the battery be charged, answer is yes, it can. There is no mention of load. If the batteries are not charging there is something wrong.
After You Build Solar Panels, What Do You Hook Them To? Batteries, The Book Doesn'T Tell You About This?
I Ordered The Power 4 Homes Book And It Said Nothing About Hooking Up The Batteries To The Solar Panel Or Wind Generator.
in truth, you're out 50 bucks.
they're not going to work.
and i may be wrong, but i don't thing you're going to get your money back.
they claim to have an email address that will answer your questions.
they also claim that the power company will pay you.
the power company, here at least, will allow you to offset your bill up to the amount of energy you use.
but will not pay you for any excess.
in addition, there are taxes and fees that you have to pay even if you owe nothing for electricity.
they also claim that their wind turbine will generate 450 watts.
however, if your house is anything like mine you use 1,000- 2,000- 3000 Kw of power.
your refrigerator uses more than 450 watts.
the fact is that to get a solar panel to work with any efficiency takes chemistry that you don't have at home.
frankly, his 102,000 current users seems more than a little unlikely to me.
if he really was that successful you'd see it on the news.
i've listened to his pitch.
he's a carnival salesman.
what he's really passionate about is getting your money.
Has Main Street Shifted More Left Or More Right?
Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Hybrids, Market Regulations, Limited Abortions, Health Care For Low Income People, Global Warming, Taxing And Regulating Oil Companies, Disapproval Of The No Child Left Behind Program, And Separation Of Church And State, All See To Be Main Street Values Now.
Although, Immigration Laws, Pows, And Torcher Also Seem To Be Accepted By Main Street.
Has America As A Whole Shifted More Left Or Right In The Last 10-20 Years?
Society itself is trying to shift toward sustainability. The people who are in power don't want to lose their milk cows and are trying to prevent it.
Sustainability will be considered left-sided until more companies realize how profitable it can be.then the right will jump on claiming they were for it, the whole time.
America itself has shifted more right as a result of a surprise we got on September 11,2001.
As the moderates realize it and start felling enough is enough, because things are unjustifiably too far right, the cycle will tilt back left.
What Is Solar Energy?
What Is It Used For?
How It Is Obtained? And In What Form?
What Is The Price Of Solar Power?
How Solar Power Works,
Different Types Of Solar Panels
Hmm I Have To Find Out A Lot About Solar Energy.
Solar energy is the light, visible and invisible, that is emitted from the sun.
Solar power is the electricity that is created from solar energy in man made devices.
The solar energy can be used to directly create electricity in solar cells. It can also be used to heat a material that is then used to heat water and power a generator. These are the two most common ways of creating solar power from solar energy.
The price of the solar power will depend on how it is created.
Solar power is electricity and can be used anyway that other electricity can be used.
New types of solar panels are being developed at a rapid rate in the modern world. I would suggest a search on line for the latest available and the newest research results.
