What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for house owners to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c, washing clothes, enjoying TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are significant, lots of property owners find that the convenience, distinct features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more alluring.

Leading Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically lower or perhaps remove your electric bills

Whether you're a homeowner, business, or not-for-profit, electricity costs can make up a big part of your month-to-month expenditures. With a solar panel system, you'll create complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will decrease your utility costs and you'll still conserve a lot of loan.

#2 Make a great return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expenditure-- they are among the very best ways to invest, with returns rivaling those of more conventional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electricity costs savings, the typical American homeowner settles their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard against increasing energy costs

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge energy prices. In the previous ten years, property electrical energy rates have increased by approximately three percent yearly. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical energy rate and safeguard against unforeseeable boosts in electricity costs. If you're a company or homeowner with rising and falling capital, going solar also helps you much better projection and manage your expenses.

#4 Increase your house worth

Numerous research studies have actually discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have higher property values and offer more rapidly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more informed about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential part of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from price variations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar industry included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This development is anticipated to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a fantastic method to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A typical domestic photovoltaic panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are very important parts of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Significantly, customers and communities are recognizing and rewarding services that opt to run responsibly. Businesses are finding that "green" credentials are an effective motorist of customer purchasing choices, developing goodwill and improving organisation results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Numerous house owners pick to finance their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This indicates that a third-party business-- the solar supplier-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, maintenance, tracking and repair works. You just pay the solar supplier for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility companies are notorious for their changing and undependable electricity prices. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and basic mathematics, we can calculate what does it cost? electrical power will be generated, and most significantly, at exactly what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is The Best Company To Buy Solar Panels From?
Im Looking For The Cheapest Wholesale Solar Panels

If this is just a few dozen panels for your home, you'll have to go to a regular dealer. There are distributors, but you have to buy a lot, I think one container (200) minimum. An internet search for "solar panel prices" will bring up all the major sellers. I have not heard of any one of the major sellers that is actually bad, so would go on price alone, including shipping.

Are Amorphous Solar Panels Efficient Solar Panels To Buy?
I Live In El Salvador And Want To Buy Solar Panels To Install In My Home. I Need To Generate 50Kw Of Electricity A Month. There Is A Sunforce Kit That Sells For $250 Which States The Following: •Max Output 60 Watts 4 Amps •Battery Not Included •Includes The Following: 1.4 X 15 Watt Amorphous Solar Panels 2.Plastic Pvc Frame For Mounting Panels 3.12V Dc Plug, Alligator Battery Clamps, Mounting Screws & Extra Wiring 4.4 In 1 Wire Connector So That All 4 Panels Can Be Wired Together In An Easy Fashion 5.12V Dc Socket For Powering 12V Products 6.200 Watt Modified Sine Wave Inverter 7.7 Amp Solar Charge Controller •Dimensions: (L X W X H) 41&Quot; X 13 1/4&Quot; X 16 1/4&Quot; 104 X 33.5 X 41.5 Cm Weight: 63.4 Lbs Then There Is The Option Of Installing A 85Watt Polycrystalline Installed For $1000 Dollars. Would This Generate The Amount Of Energy That I Need? If Not How Many Would I Have To Buy? I Have 200 Square Feet Of Usable Surface Area Which Recieves 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight A Day. Would I Need To Buy Anything Else To Install The Kit? Has Anyone Ever Used A Sunforce Product And Are They Any Good. What Are The Pros And Cons Of The 2 Systems? Can I Connect 2 Batteries To The Sunforce System And What Changes If Any Would I Have To Make If I Did?

Hey Edwin, I have to go with Roderick, my numbers are just slightly different than his. Accounting for everything else, including efficiencies of an inverter and losses in battery charging, My estimate is something closer to 500 total watts of solar. That amount of panels would fit easily in your 200 square foot space. As a further example, consider our home, it uses about 5 kwh per day, and we generate about 80% of our energy with a 1.6 kw array (1600 watts total solar). Our entire array only takes up about 175 square feet. Again, I agree with Roderick, that this might not be the answer you were looking for, but it's pretty honest and straight forward. It sounds like you know basically what you're trying to do and how to get there, just fuzzy on the numbers. What I would suggest is you buy a subscription to Home Power Magazine. Once you subscribe, you have access to all their archived issues, and in several of them they have listed all he commercially available panels, who manufacturers them and their specs. It's a great place to comparison shop if you can find the right back issue at the website.

J, I think you might have an extra decimal somewhere in your calculations, a 6800 watt array would run our entire home and the two neighbors on each side, certainly way more than Edwin would need at 1.7 kwh per day. But your descriptions of the other accessories sounds fine to me.

I would also add that personally, I don't care for the sunforce products. I think they work fine from a photovoltiac perspective, but mechanically I don't think they stand up against many of the other products available, and you can probably find a better deal if you shop around. The big advantage to that package is its ease of installation, with all the wiring harnesses already made up for you, but in the end, if you do some more research, you could have a better working overall system for the same money. You will need something in the 400 to 500 total solar watts range to make the power you need, that might be a good starting point for getting a better look at your budget. Take care Edwin, Rudydoo

10W Solar Panel Can Use On What?
Was Looking At 10W Solar Panel Kit. Does This Mean, All I Can Use Is Something Like A 10W Cfl Light Bulb And Nothing Else?

No. The way to set it up is to store the power generated by the solar panel in a battery, then use the battery to power your lights, radio, etc, when you need the power. A standard deep-cycle marine battery is typical for panels of this size (WalMart for approx $90).
A 10W panel will generate between 30 & 50 Watt-Hours of power over the course of a day (May-Aug weather-dependent), so this would equate to running a laptop for 1-2 hours, or a 10W CFL light for 3-5 hours, or a 20W stereo for 1.5-3 hours, etc. I find it is much easier to speak in terms of watts. Divide the watt-hours by the watts of the appliance to get the number of hours it can run.
Hope that helps!

What Is The Difference Between Mono Crystalline And Polycrystalline Solar Panels? And Which One Is Better?

Both poly-crystalline and mono-crystalline solar panels are made from the same material, silicon. However the difference is that the poly-crystalline material is made up of millions or billions of small silicon crystals while the mono-crystalline material is actual just that, one large singe crystal of silicon.

Single crystal silicon is more efficient at converting photons to electrons for electricity, the poly-silicon its much less efficient because electrons are captured or generated less efficiently where the crystals of silicon touch. However, even though poly solar panels are not as efficient, they are cheaper to manufacture so they can still be competitive on a $/watt basis. They would just need more area to produce the same amount of electricity as the mono-crystalline panels.

Camper/ Trailer / Rv ? Which Is Best For This Situation?
Which Is The Best Option. Looking For Something To Take To Live In The Mountains. Want To Keep There For As Long As Possible Without Going To City To Fill Water/Gas/Sewer Ect. How Does A Trailer Compare To An Rv When It Comes To Powering My Tvs/Appliances/ Computers? Which Will Last Better On Power?

Motor home not good ideA you have to many mechAnical problems. Get your self As nice fifth wheel travel trailer. You can enclose the area where the fifth wheel hitch is and use it as a storage shed after trailer is set up. Now here is the key to sewAge tAke the existing toilet out and put n a composting toilet or you could just build an out house . But the composting toilets are greAt because you don't have to got outside. And they are approved . Get a couple of solar pAnels and put them on the roof to keep batteries chArged. You'll need a good power inverter for fridge if it's 110 volt if it's. 12volt just use three golf cart batteries with with the solar panels to charge . A generator with 12 volt chArging capabilities for back up . You cAn buy a potable water storage tAnk of any size at an rv or marine store or use the one that comes with trailer. Buy extra large propaine tAnks so you don't hAve to keep refilling them and the water tanks. Your off the grid!
