About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c unit, washing clothing, seeing TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are considerable, numerous homeowners discover that the convenience, distinct functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.
Leading Benefits of Solar Energy
#1 Drastically decrease or even remove your electric bills
Whether you're a homeowner, organization, or not-for-profit, electrical power costs can make up a large part of your monthly costs. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will lower your energy bills and you'll still conserve a lot of money.
#2 Make a fantastic return on your investment
Photovoltaic panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns matching those of more conventional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical power expense cost savings, the average American house owner pays off their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Protect versus increasing energy costs
One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility costs. In the past ten years, property electrical energy prices have actually gone up by an average of three percent yearly. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical power rate and safeguard versus unpredictable boosts in electricity costs. If you're a service or house owner with ever-changing money flow, going solar also helps you better projection and handle your expenses.
#4 Boost your property worth
Multiple research studies have found that homes equipped with solar energy systems have higher property worths and sell faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar installations into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more educated about solar, need for residential or commercial properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential element of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to create electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost variations in worldwide energy markets.
#6 Develop jobs and help your local economy
Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar market included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This development is anticipated to continue. Since solar-related jobs have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a considerable factor to the United States economy.
#7 Secure the environment
Solar is a great way to decrease your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical residential photovoltaic panel system will remove three to four heaps of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees each year.
#8 Show your commitment to sustainability
Sustainability and corporate social obligation are necessary parts of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, customers and communities are recognizing and rewarding companies that decide to operate properly. Companies are finding that "green" qualifications are a powerful motorist of consumer getting choices, creating goodwill and improving service results.
#9 Start Conserving from Day 1
Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no loan down.
Lots of property owners decide to fund their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This means that a third-party company-- the solar provider-- owns the solar system and takes care of setup, upkeep, tracking and repairs. You merely pay the solar company for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy business.
As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Investment
The energy business are notorious for their fluctuating and undependable electricity rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.
With solar panels and simple mathematics, we can compute how much electrical power will be generated, and most notably, at exactly what price, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month
- System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
- Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- We own the solar panel system
- $0 down for installation
- Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use
- Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
- System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
- Receive 30% federal tax credit
- See a return on investment within 7-10 years
What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?
We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.
What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Energy Source Is Best Suited For Southern Ontario?
B/W Wind, Solar Etc. Which Type Of Energy Is Best For Southern Ontario. Plz Answer Soon .Ty.
I suggest you check into Geothermal. You can heat and cool using the ground as a source. and, you get free hot water heating when its running. unless u can put up a BIG wind turbine u can only make so much elect with wind. Its hard to generate enough power with solar unless u have LOTS (the panels take up lots of space) of room outside and good southern exposure.
You can also consider a Power Cell, but they are very expensive.
How The Moon Was Created?
How The Moon Was Created
There are a few theories but the currently accepted theory is the "Giant Impact Hypothesis." Around 4.5 billion years ago, a Mars-sized object called Theia collided with Earth (it likely shared the same solar orbit). Upon collision, the cores of the two objects merged and material was jettisoned into Earth orbit, where it eventually coalesced and cooled to form the Moon. The scientific evidence for this that led to this hypothesis being widely accepted include similar relative abundances of the isotopes of oxygen in moon rocks - these were found to be almost identical to those on Earth suggesting that the Earth and moon formed at the same distance from the Sun. There is a lack of water and other volatile compounds in the lunar rocks (similar to those found in the Earth's mantle) which supports the idea of a collision involving such energy that these vaporised during the Moon's formation. Furthermore scientists discovered KREEP-rich rocks in Oceanus Procellarum and Mare Imbrium (the Giant Impact Hypothesis predicts that an ocean of hot magma would have surrounded the Moon and the magma containing KREEP elements would have crystallised underneath the lunar crust.
What Are Some Interesting Facts Of Solar Energy?
it's a renewable energy source. the amount of sun that hits the us in one day is enough to feed the nation with a year and a half's worth of power. they've made solar ovens, solar cars, solar planes, etc.
Solar Energy Sent Down To Earth?
I Seem To Remember Nasa And Other Organisations Mentioning A Project In Which They Would Send A Satellite With Solar Panels Into Space. The Energy Would Be Converted Into Microwaves/Lasers And Sent Down To Earth. Would This Solve All The Problems Regarding Energy Consumption And Pollution If It Became A Reality.Does Anyone Have Any Idea How Possible This Is Or Whether There Has Been Any News About It.
How plausible this concept is something that I am not at liberty to say, since I am not all that well versed in the subject. What I can say is that, assuming this system of energy production is viable, it will probably be obstructed because of the deeply entrenched interests most of our politicians have with the oil and gas lobby. Why do you think, given all of our technological advancement in other areas, the movement away from fossil fuels has been moving at a snails pace. It is certainly not for lack of human ingenuity. We have an abundance of that.
What we don’t have is the politcal will to move away from oil and gas, because many of politicians line their pockets and their campaign coffers with oil and gas money. Remove the the lobbiest’s powers to influence politicians, and you remove the fundamental impediment to obtaining clean and terror free energy sources.
How Solar Energy Can Be Generated At Competitive Cost?
How Solar Energy Can Be Produced At Competitive Cost For The Welfare Of People At Large?Presently What Is The Status Of Its Use In India?
Use materials from space (moon or asteroids) to build solar generating plants in Geostationary orbit and beam the power down to a rectena using microwaves.
We lack the space infrastructure needed to do that so it's decades away but it is probably the only way solar will be cost competitive (and if we didn't have nuclear power which could provide the zero emissions power we need it'd be our best bet for solving global warming).
There aren't really any countries that actually have significant amounts of solar generation (and certainly none that get the majority of power from solar, unless you count hydro-electricity or fossil fuels as solar power (but if you do that then you'd also have to call photovoltaics nuclear)).
I came accross a new, proven and tested home made wind power system and solar power system which eliminates our electricity bills. It was written by a Renewable energy enthusiasts Michael Harvey the diy called Earth4energy. You can get your copy to save energy and help environment while eliminating your power bills.
