What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning unit, cleaning clothes, enjoying TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, many property owners find that the convenience, special features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.

Leading Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically minimize or even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, business, or nonprofit, electrical power expenses can comprise a big portion of your monthly costs. With a solar panel system, you'll generate complimentary power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will reduce your utility expenses and you'll still save a great deal of cash.

#2 Make an excellent return on your financial investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they are among the best ways to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical energy bill savings, the typical American homeowner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against rising energy costs

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility prices. In the previous 10 years, domestic electrical energy costs have actually increased by an average of three percent annually. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and secure versus unpredictable increases in electrical energy costs. If you're a service or property owner with ever-changing capital, going solar likewise helps you better projection and manage your expenditures.

#4 Boost your residential or commercial property worth

Several research studies have actually discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have higher property values and offer faster than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, demand for homes equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial component of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to create electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our country from price variations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your regional economy

According to The Solar Foundation, the solar industry added jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This growth is anticipated to continue. Because solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a considerable contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a great way to minimize your carbon footprint. Structures are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can substantially decrease that number. A normal property solar panel system will get rid of three to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are very important components of a company's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, consumers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding companies that decide to operate properly. Organisations are finding that "green" credentials are an effective motorist of customer getting decisions, creating goodwill and enhancing service outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Lots of homeowners opt to fund their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This suggests that a third-party company-- the solar company-- owns the planetary system and takes care of setup, maintenance, tracking and repair works. You just pay the solar supplier for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy business are well-known for their varying and undependable electrical energy prices. There is plainly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and basic math, we can calculate what does it cost? electrical energy will be produced, and most significantly, at what rate, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can A 110-Volt Inverter Be Used In The Philippines Where They Use 220-Volts In Conjunction With Solar Panels?
I Am Going Back To The Philippines (Pi) In 2014. I Recently Purchased A 3-Solar Panel Kit, But Am Unsure Whether To Purchase A 400-Watt Continuous / 800-Watt Peak Power Inverter That Is 110-Volts. Can This Be Hooked Up Using A Step-Down Or Step-Up 220-Volt Transformer To Run 110-Volt Items That I Have In My Home That Are Attached To 110-Volt Step-Down Transformers? Any Suggestions Would Be Helpful. Solar Energy Is Just Getting Started In The Pi And I Want To Make Sure That I Purchase The Correct Inverter Without Wasting My Money And Time. Paul

Paul: This is a question that should be asked to the supplier where you bought the Inverter not us here as they are the experts on their equipment. But remember to check what you want to run! It cannot be more than 400 watts & 800 watts ratted. That is not very much power. Even a small desktop CPU is rated 350 watts, a ref is way more than that even a rice cooker is 700 watts. At only 400-Watt Continuous / 800-Watt Peak Power you will be able to run lights & that is all.
So I urge you to go back to where you bought the solar kit & tell them of your needs & concerns about the inverter.

Where Can I Learn To Make Solar Panels?

There are many guides in making solar panels on the web.Just google them.Or you can check my source for reviews of them.

Where Can I Find A 5V 1A Solar Panel?

You can also regulate a larger panel to 5 volt one amp output by means of a conventional voltage regulator circuit.

The same with a 3 volt need. I will be uploading a circuit schematic to my blog for an adjustable voltage regulator on present schedule about 10 days to weeks, I have some uploads and rewrites to some initial regulator theory to get ready and up this week.

How Do Solar Panel Power Systems Work?

Solar panels collect solar radiation from the sun and actively convert that energy to electricity. From a solar-powered calculator to an international space station, solar panels generate electricity using the same principles of electronics as chemical batteries or standard electrical outlets. With solar panels, it's all about the free flow of electrons through a circuit.

To understand how solar panels generate electrical power, it might help to take a quick trip back to high school chemistry class. The basic element of solar panels is the same element that helped create the computer revolution -- pure silicon. When silicon is stripped of all impurities, it makes a ideal neutral platform for the transmission of electrons. Silicon also has some atomic-level properties which make it even more attractive for the creation of solar panels.

Silicon atoms have room for eight electrons in their outer bands, but only carry four in their natural state. This means there is room for four more electrons. If one silicon atom contacts another silicon atom, each receives the other atom's four electrons. This creates a strong bond, but there is no positive or negative charge because the eight electrons satisfy the atoms' needs. Silicon atoms can combine for years to result in a large piece of pure silicon. This material is used to form the plates of solar panels.

Here's where science enters the picture. Two plates of pure silicon would not generate electricity in solar panels, because they have no positive or negative charge. Solar panels are created by combining silicon with other elements that do have positive or negative charges.

Phosphorus, for example, has five electrons to offer to other atoms. If silicon and phosphorus are combined chemically, the result is a stable eight electrons with an additional free electron along for the ride. It can\'t leave, because it is bonded to the other phosphorus atoms, but it isn't needed by the silicon. Therefore, this new silicon/phosphorus plate is considered to be negatively charged.

In order for electricity to flow, a positive charge must also be created. This is achieved in solar panels by combining silicon with an element such as boron, which only has three electrons to offer. A silicon/boron plate still has one spot left for another electron. This means the plate has a positive charge. The two plates are sandwiched together in solar panels, with conductive wires running between them.

With the two plates in place, it's now time to bring in the 'solar' aspect of solar panels. Natural sunlight sends out many different particles of energy, but the one we're most interested in is called a photon. A photon essentially acts like a moving hammer. When the negative plates of solar cells are pointed at a proper angle to the sun, photons bombard the silicon/phosphorus atoms.

Eventually, the 9th electron, which wants to be free anyway, is knocked off the outer ring. This electron doesn't remain free for long, since the positive silicon/boron plate draws it into the open spot on its own outer band. As the sun's photons break off more electrons, electricity is generated. The electricity generated by one solar cell is not very impressive, but when all of the conductive wires draw the free electrons away from the plates, there is enough electricity to power low amperage motors or other electronics. Whatever electrons are not used or lost to the air are returned to the negative plate and the entire process begins again.

One of the main problems with using solar panels is the small amount of electricity they generate compared to their size. A calculator might only require a single solar cell, but a solar-powered car would require several thousand. If the angle of the solar panels is changed even slightly, the efficiency can drop 50 percent.

Some power from solar panels can be stored in chemical batteries, but there usually isn't much excess power in the first place. The same sunlight that provides photons also provides more destructive ultraviolet and infrared waves, which eventually cause the panels to degrade physically. The panels must also be exposed to destructive weather elements, which can also seriously affect efficiency.

Many sources also refer to solar panels as photovoltaic cells, which references the importance of light (photos) in the generation of electrical voltage. The challenge for future scientists will be to create more efficient solar panels are small enough for practical applications and powerful enough to create excess energy for times when sunlight is not available.

What Home Appliance Can Be Powered By A Solar Panel?
I Don'T Know Anything About Where To Buy Solar Panels. I Just Want To Save On The Electric Bills.

Simple answer.

Anything you can power with your normal household electric can be powered by solar.

So you know what a solar panel is:

A "solar panel" is more then one solar module mounted on a frame to be installed as a single unit into a solar array.

Next question is normally what is a solar module:

A "solar module" is a bunch of solar cells mounted together with a clear front and a white backing.

Solar is something that you install on your home so you don't have to rent electric power from the public utility. It has a large upfront cost but will pay it's self and you then own something. Like if you rent a home you end up with nothing but if you buy a home you pay a big upfront payment and in the end you own it and can sell it for a profit.

Yes you can run your A/C unit from Solar Electric.

As said above. Anything you can run from the pubilc utility can be ran from solar. If it is in your home and running from electric right now you can run it from solar.
