What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c unit, cleaning clothing, seeing TV, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are considerable, lots of residents discover that the convenience, distinct features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are much more attractive.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably decrease or perhaps eliminate your electric costs

Whether you're a house owner, business, or not-for-profit, electricity expenses can make up a large part of your regular monthly expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll generate free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will lower your energy costs and you'll still save a great deal of money.

#2 Make a fantastic return on your financial investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical energy costs cost savings, the average American homeowner settles their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard versus increasing energy expenses

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, property electricity costs have increased by approximately three percent annually. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and protect against unforeseeable boosts in electrical power costs. If you're a service or homeowner with fluctuating money circulation, going solar also helps you much better projection and manage your costs.

#4 Boost your home or business worth

Several research studies have actually found that houses equipped with solar energy systems have greater home worths and sell faster than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, need for properties equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key element of attaining energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost fluctuations in international energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market added tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This development is anticipated to continue. Because solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable factor to the United States economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a terrific way to reduce your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical property photovoltaic panel system will eliminate three to four tons of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are essential elements of an organization's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line results. Increasingly, consumers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that decide to run properly. Organisations are finding that "green" credentials are a powerful motorist of consumer acquiring choices, creating goodwill and improving service results.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no cash down.

Lots of homeowners decide to fund their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding options. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You just pay the solar provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy companies are notorious for their fluctuating and unreliable electrical power prices. There is clearly an upward trend.

With solar panels and basic math, we can compute just how much electrical energy will be created, and most significantly, at what rate, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Solar Energy?
How Does Solar Energy Benefit Us From Our Daily Life? Can You Give Me 3 Details Thanks...

1. Energy extraction from a limitless source (relative to our lifetimes) w/o the need to transport liquid fuel via pipe or truck. This translates to less congestion on highways, less potential for accidents, and stable price (depending on financing required to purchase/install the panel array)

2. Users of solar panels tend to understand their actual power needs as opposed to what they typically use. Solar energy usage allows individuals to use what they truly need with the option to use grid power if needed. From a psychological perspective, this often will translate into other areas such as water and gas conservation. Resulting in a smaller per capita resource use/carbon footprint.

3. Solar power is an excellent source for backup power, especially in regions affected by summer power outages (due to hurricanes, bad storms, etc.) The end-user will have power assuming there's enough light for the panels to produce electricity, otherwise, there's still the battery power which is stored from previous day's solar extraction.

Information On Making Solar Panels?
I Want To Get Definate Instructions On How To Make The Components And Convert My Home To Solar Energy. I Know I Could Hire Some One To Do This, But Frankly I Do Not Have The Funds At My Disposal To Do It. I Thought If I Could Find Detailed Instuctions I Could Slowly Do It Myself (With My Husband'S Help). I Have Looked Into Loans For This Purpose To No Avail. Finding The Information On The Net Could Take Forever! If Anyone Knows A Site That Would Give Me The Information Or Even A Hint On How To Start? Any Help Will Be Appreciated, But If You Have Any Good Links To Good Information Please Share Them With Me..Thanks

I doubt that you are going to want to learn how to dope your own silicon wafers, add contacts and laminate them into PV panels.  I also doubt that you're going to even want the various chemicals to make e.g. cadmium-based cells anywhere near your house (cadmium is a very toxic metal).  In other words, making your own solar panels is not an at-home project.

You can buy solar panels based on cells of several different types.  A link to a Pricewatch-like website for current prices on solar panels is below.  Mounting panels to roofs or pole mounts, running conduit and wires, and installing battery banks and inverters are within the capabilities of skilled laypeople.

Solar Inverter Help!?
Can Anyone Explain Me The Role Of Micro Controller In A Solar Inverter And Also The Operation Of Solar Inverter!

I’m jumping in on this since it seems like at least one answer missed the mark and the other left out some detail.

Solar panels produce direct current [DC] and your appliances use alternating current [AC]. There are numerous configurations and applications of solar power. Some systems have batteries and are off the grid. Some may have batteries and are on grid, and other still may have no batteries and are still on grid.

The importance here is whether or not the solar array is supplementing utility supplied power (as most home installations do). If you have a system that feeds into the electrical network, one that you could sell back power, then the microcontroller/inverter is going to perform 3 important functions.

1. Produce high quality sine wave
2. Ensure the AC power is in phase with line power
3. Sever the connection with the grid in case of power failure

In the case 1, the shape of the wave is important. Cheap inverters, like in RV’s, don’t produce nice sine waves. They are considered noisy and may damage sensitive electronic equipment. Light bulbs, toaster, and blenders don’t care, but your HDTV may not like it.

In case 2 it is critically important for the electricity being fed into the grid to match, or be in phase. If not one source would cancel out the other and kind of defeat the whole purpose. Maybe even damage equipment.

Case 3. If the power goes off you don’t want to try and supply the neighborhood with electricity or electrocute a line worker who could be trying to make a repair.

In summary, a microcontroller is going to be the brain that makes sure case 1,2 and 3 occur.

Can Prisms Be Used To Increase The Efficiency Of Solar Panels?
So I'Ve Had A Nagging Question About Solar Energy Since High School That I'Ve Never Found An Answer To. It'S My Understanding That The Energy Output Of A Solar Panel Is Highly Dependent On The Wavelengths Of Light Hitting The Panel. For Example, A Panel Might Be Completely Useless Across 80% Of The Visible Spectrum, But Within The Other 20% It Might Gradually Become More And More Efficient Until It Is Able To Absorb Nearly All The Energy Striking The Panel. So My Question Is: If You Had A Concentrated Beam Of Light Shining Into An Enclosed Space, What Would Be The Most Efficient Way To Capture Its Energy? -If You Were Capture The Light Directly With Solar Panels You Might Be Able To Get Up To 43.5%(Most Efficient To Date) But Today'S Commercial Cells Average About 12-16%. -However If You Instead Directed The Light Through A Prism, Seperating The White Light Into Its Component Wavelengths, You Would Be Able To Address Individual Portions Of The Spectrum Seperately With Whatever Photovoltaic Compound Would Be Most Efficient. Then You Wouldn'T Have To Waste The ~80% Of The Light That Some Panels Can'T Convert To Energy. You Would Be Capturing Each Wavelength With The Most Efficient Compounds We Have Available. You Could Potentially Reach Double The Efficiency Of Today'S Most Advanced Panels In A Very Simple Way Depending On How Standard Commercial Panels Work Under Isolated Pieces Of The Spectrum. Of Course, You Would Need A Well Made Prism That Would Scatter The Light In A Consistent Pattern. Also, This Might Not Be Nearly As Practical In Application When You Have To Consider The Parabolic Mirrors Needed To Collect The Light. I Appreciate Any Criticism Of My Idea, I Just Need To Know Why This Doesn'T Work. Thanks.

Kind of like what they're trying to do with multi-junction solar panels, quantum dots and organic dyes. The problem with a prism is that it increases the real estate needed for the various substrates which is why a multi-layer approach is being favored.

The 42.8% voltaic panel from the University of Delaware used efficient "spectral splitting optics" to achieve their efficiency. Sound a little familiar... They split the light into three to get 42.8% efficiency.

How Do You Make A Homemade Solar Panel?
Okay, Me And My Friends Are Going To Fix Up An Old Trailer That'S Out In The Woods, We Want Something To Be Able To Run Small Electric Appliances Off Of, But It'S To Far To Run Power To. How Can We Make A Good But Cheap Homemade Solar Panel That We Could Plug Things Into? The Trailer Is In More Of A Field So It Gets Plenty Of Sunlight! Thanks For Any Help! :)

Solar panel cannot be home made with household material. It was a high tech product. You need to buy them in market. To suppose electricity for a trailer home, solar system becomes very expensive .
A t least few thousands dollar to buy solar panels, storage battery bank, DC to AC inverter, heavy gauge wiring and hardware.
