What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning system, washing clothing, watching TV, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are considerable, lots of home owners find that the convenience, distinct functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more attractive.

Top Ten Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically minimize and even eliminate your electric expenses

Whether you're a house owner, business, or not-for-profit, electrical energy costs can comprise a big portion of your monthly expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll produce complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your utility costs and you'll still save a lot of money.

#2 Make a terrific return on your financial investment

Solar panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the finest methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical power expense savings, the average American house owner settles their solar panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against increasing energy expenses

One of the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility rates. In the previous 10 years, residential electricity prices have gone up by approximately 3 percent annually. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical power rate and secure versus unpredictable increases in electrical power expenses. If you're a business or house owner with fluctuating capital, going solar likewise assists you better forecast and manage your expenses.

#4 Increase your home or business worth

Numerous research studies have discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have higher property worths and offer quicker than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more educated about solar, demand for homes equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential element of accomplishing energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from rate variations in international energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your local economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar market included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a considerable contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is an excellent way to decrease your carbon footprint. Buildings are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical residential solar panel system will remove three to four loads of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are necessary components of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Significantly, customers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding companies that select to operate properly. Businesses are finding that "green" credentials are an effective driver of customer acquiring choices, developing goodwill and improving business outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Many homeowners decide to finance their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This implies that a third-party company-- the solar provider-- owns the planetary system and looks after setup, maintenance, tracking and repair works. You simply pay the solar provider for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy companies are infamous for their fluctuating and undependable electrical energy costs. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and simple mathematics, we can calculate what does it cost? electrical energy will be produced, and most notably, at what cost, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).

As the total of solar photovoltaic and solar thermal Solar thermal installed capacity as of 2001 stats was: 17.459 giga watts or 17,459,000,000 watts:

As the total of solar photovoltaic, solar active thermal and solar passive thermal used. How much sunlight comes through US windows? The number will certainly be much larger.

Solar Energy Use In The U.S.?
What Percent Of Electricity Use Does Solar Energy Account For In The U.S.? Which State In The U.S. Has The Leading Solar State? Which Country Is The Dominant Player In Solar Energy ?

With the internet at your disposal, your telling me you can't find this information yourself ?
I've rarely seen solar account for anything in the double digits, even here in California where the 'go green' freaks love to congregate.
But with the issues regarding cost, time to pay back, scam artists trying to sell you how-to manuals but leaving out important components or details, bankrupt cities and states cutting back on thier subsidy programs, Not to leave out the issues regarding transmission lines and such........thereby making it hard for a 'plant' to supply electrical needs.

Might as well face it, regardless of what that moron Obama said, Oil is not the energy of the past, coal and oil are here to stay until we find a better alternative or make one of the one's we have more effective for every persons use

Could The Inner Mantle Of Earth Be Used To Mine Iron And Nickel ?
How Long Would Such Supplies Last ? How Soon Could We Have The Necessary Technology ? What Could Be The Side Effects ?

I like the way Robert's answer starts out, but then it gets a little wild. By mining earth's mantle (or core) its mass does not change. Most of the minerals recovered from the core would be fairly evenly distributed over the surface. Also, gravitation and magnetism are (at present) unrelated forces. The earth would not go spinning off like a deflating balloon.

If we mined a few megatons from the mantle we could recycle that material indefinitely. Nickel and iron do not transmute through common use. As to how long before we develop this technology--it may be quite some time. Mineral extraction from the mantle is bound to prove rather expensive. At the present time what we do is mine minerals coughed up along plate margins (and of course, anywhere else they are found in crustal rock). It takes eons for mantle material to well up through orogeny, and much of that is subducted ocean floor.

I can't think of any particularly bad side effects. The process might entail some sort of strip mining. Huge gouges in earth's crust could be problematic, if we cannot come up with a better way.

Here is one better way--mine mars. Mars has a rich mantle, and because the planet is smaller (square cube law) it should have radiated more heat. Also, mining operations there won't disturb any fragile ecosystem. Mars also has a deep gash, the Valles Marineras, which would facilitate access to its mantle.

We could build a big mass driver on the martian surface to launch raw iron ore into earth orbit, where it could be smelted in giant orbitting mirror furnaces. We would probably be better off leaving this material in orbit, rather than returning it to earth's surface. It will be more useful there in the construction of space stations and habitats.

I once calculated that there is enough sand in the martian desert and iron in its mantle to erect a ring of solar collectors around the sun. Think of what could be done with all that nearly limitless energy!

Where Does Harnessed Wind Energy Go?
Does It Go Into A Generator Or Something Near The Wind Farm/Turbine?

It depends on how it is set up. Each wind turbine is a generator so when it's turning the electricity is being created. Most electric companies don't store electricity, they just distribute. There are a lot of home systems that can store power in batteries for later use. That can be generated by wind or solar. But those big wind farms pretty much pump power into the grid. I don't believe power is stored anywhere. It is probably because it would take mass amounts of batteries (expensive) to store power for many homes/businesses.

Compare The Sources,Benefits, And Disadvantages Of Chemical,Solar,And Nuclear Energy.?
Helppp Me Pelaseee. My Paper Is Doo Tomorrow! Explainnn Detailssss

Questions to consider

Where are the nonrenewable sources of energy located?
How easy is it to gain access to these sources?
What are the consequences of using these sources (fuels)?
What are the costs (direct and indirect) of using these sources?
Are there viable alternative sources of fuel?
What is the current cost of crude oil and other forms of energy?
What else have you learned about these resources?
What is the political environment for these energy sources?

Here are the pros and cons of nuclear power plants:
!. Fission is the most energy for the least fuel with current technology.
2. Less fuel means less waste, and the waste is all accounted for, not released into the atmosphere to become someone else's problem.
3. Uranium is readily available, very common in the earth's crust (about the same as tin)
4. Economical - operating cost about the same as coal, fuel cost is a much smaller percentage of the total, therefore less susceptible to price fluctuations.
5. Reliable - Nuclear power plants have very high capacity factors.
6. No combustion, no Co, CO2 or SO2 released.
7. Creates jobs.
8. Reduce dependence on foreign oil/ fuel. Uranium available domestically and in oceans.
9. High temperature reactors could produce Hydrogen as well as electricity.
10. Fantastic safety record.

1. Irrational fear of all things nuclear.
2. High cost to build and license, large initial investment for long term pay back.
3. Publicly accepted high level storage facility not domestically available.
4. Reprocessing facility not domestically available.
4. High cost of personnel.
5. Security concerns,
Nuclear power, I believe is the best, safest, most reliable, current technology to provide energy. The plants operating now are safe and the new designs are even safer.
Building 100's of new nuclear power plants would improve the economy, reduce or eliminate dependence on foreign oil, create jobs, reduce pollution, and provide for future technological advancement.
I have been working with nuclear power for about 30 years, I would be glad to have a Nuclear power plant or high level waste disposal facility in my backyard. My family and I live in a home within 10 miles of a nuclear power plant. (where I work) I have a great understanding of the risks involved and am completely comfortable with a plant "in my backyard".
Using Chernobyl as a reason not to build is like saying because of the Hindenburg I will never fly in a commercial airliner.
Nuclear power has the smallest environmental impact of any current energy production method per unit of energy produced. One fuel pellet about the size of a pencil eraser produces the same energy as about 1 ton of coal, and if reprocessed 2/3 of what’s left can be reclaimed. Nuclear power is our best option for reliable, environmentally friendly, base-load electrical power.
