What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioner, cleaning clothing, viewing TV, cooking dinner. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are considerable, many home owners find that the benefit, distinct features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are even more attractive.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly minimize or perhaps remove your electrical bills

Whether you're a house owner, company, or not-for-profit, electricity expenses can comprise a large part of your regular monthly expenditures. With a solar panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will decrease your energy bills and you'll still save a lot of money.

#2 Make a terrific return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expenditure-- they're one of the very best methods to invest, with returns matching those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical power expense savings, the average American house owner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect against increasing energy expenses

Among the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, property electrical power rates have actually increased by approximately 3 percent each year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical power rate and secure versus unpredictable boosts in electrical power expenses. If you're an organisation or house owner with rising and falling money circulation, going solar also assists you better projection and manage your expenditures.

#4 Increase your residential or commercial property worth

Several studies have actually discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have higher residential or commercial property values and offer quicker than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar installations into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more educated about solar, demand for properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our country from rate fluctuations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your local economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar market included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This development is anticipated to continue. Since solar-related jobs have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant factor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is an excellent method to lower your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A typical domestic solar panel system will remove three to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social obligation are important components of a company's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding companies that decide to run properly. Companies are discovering that "green" credentials are a powerful motorist of consumer acquiring choices, developing goodwill and improving service outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Many house owners select to fund their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This indicates that a third-party business-- the solar company-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar company for electricity-- less than you would've paid the energy business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy companies are notorious for their fluctuating and undependable electrical energy rates. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and easy mathematics, we can determine what does it cost? electrical power will be created, and most notably, at what cost, for a minimum of the next 20 years (repaired energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

What Are Some Ideas To Re-Invent An (Everyday) Product To Make It More Eco Friendly?
Ex. Like A Solar Powered Ipod...Or They Might Have Tht

Well, there are some things that we ARE reinventing.

Computers already use MUCH MUCH less power than they did 15 or 20 years ago, and you get much more bang for the buck.

You will see products like the I-Pod Nano and shuffle become more popular than other items, wearable technology. Eventually this technology will power off of our movement and our own electrical output (humans create a small electrical charge ourselves), machines could be made to run on that.

Before that however you will see clothing with integrated solar fibers or some such, where your coat generates 2 or 3 volts when there is light out.

Most products will become MUCH less bulky in packaging and start using simple wax-paper or something similar, both sustainable AND lower energy (but not necessarily cheaper - at least initially), since boxes, plastics and other things might not be involved.

Cars - the biggest thing in cars is likely to be increasingly efficient BATTERIES, 150 year old technology - to the rescue.

After the calamity of Detriot is finished you will see either old companies adapt or new companies rise up and start making good cars again, Eventually we will have hyper-efficient cars, something like the Prius that can run on a battery for a 40 or 50 mile range and then use either solar/or some such to recharge.

But OIL and gasoline are going to be in increasingly short supply, and we need - as a nation, to deal effectively with that challenge.

Green Energy - Expert Opinion Questions?
I Am Working On A High School Research Project, And I Need A Few Questions Answered By Someone Knowledgeable In The Field Of Green Energy. It Is The &Quot;Ask The Expert&Quot; Portion Of The Project. If Your Profession Has To Do With This, I Would Be Extremely Appreciative If You Could Answer Any Ten Of The Below Questions With Your Personal Opinions (And Also Include Your Name And Occupation Please, So That I Can Correctly Cite You As My Source). My Paper Is On The &Quot;Micromanagement Of Green Energy&Quot;, Encase You Were Wondering. It'S Condensed Thesis Is Essentially: “Though Large-Scale Efforts By Big Corporations And Organizations Will Help Along The Way, The True Success Of The Global Movement Toward A Greener World Lies With Individual Efforts, Such As Recycling And Energy Conservation.” You Do Not Have To Agree With That Opinion. I Would Love To Hear Your True Thoughts. And You Don'T Need To Be An Expert In Green Energy, Per Se. Any Occupation Which Can Be Related (Without Too Much Convolution) To The Topic Is Just Fine. But Anyways; Again, Any Ten Of The Below Questions Answered, And You Will Be My Hero Forever: 1. Who Do You Believe Is Currently Making The Biggest Impact In Moving Society In A Greener Direction (Corporations, Government, Environmental Groups, Individuals, Etc.)? 2. What Kind Impact Do You Believe The Above Entity Is Making, In Regards To A Greener Society? 3. What Do You Believe Was, Is, Or Will Be The Most Important Technological Innovation Or Advancement In The Field Of Green Energy? 4. How Do You Think This New Technology Will Change Society As A Whole, Or The Daily Lives Of Individuals? 5. As Nonrenewable Resources Come Close To Exhaustion, What Renewable Resource, In Your Opinion, Will Prove To Be The Most Applicable For Powering Society? 6. Why Do You Believe This Resource Rises Above The Other Potential Renewable Energy Sources? 7. How Much Of A Role Do You Believe Individual Efforts, Such As Recycling Or Water Conservation, Will Play In Furthering The Green Movement? 8. What Measures, If Any, Do You Think Large-Scale Corporations, Or Other Environmentally Minded Organizations, Can Take (Or Are Taking) To Make A Significant Impact On The Environmental Scene? 9. What Country, Or Countries, Do You Believe Are The Most Environmentally Conscious? 10. What Practices Occur In That Location Should Be Imitated In Other Areas Order To Lessen The Environmental Footprint Of Those Areas? 11. What Do You Believe Is Entailed In The “Micromanagement Of Green Energy?” 12. Despite Many Advances In Solar Efficiency, The Technology Is Still Not Very Widely Used In America. What Do You Think It Will Take For Technologies Such As This To “Catch On” In The General Public?

The first one is government. Why? because its a money loosing to switch. Also you can add for every green job added two jobs are lost. Look at spain. So far there is no technology that can get off of gas and or coal. So no it has not helped one bit yet other than loose jobs and burn our food that we eat with ethanol. And so yes about changing our lives because going green has cap and trade and that can potentially lead to high gas prices which would lead to hyperinflation. Which could lead to genocide. For number 5 and 6 no one had any idea because it doesnt exist or we would all be using it. Its great to recycle anything that we can however cap and trade will destroy america. China is the biggest pollunent and most of the world has zero green rules. For number 12 is simple and its called supply and deman. Its too expensive for solar or everyone would be using it if it was cheaper than coal.

What Green Sea Dweller Lives Of Its Own Produced Solar Energy And Recycles The Poison From Its Prey?

Could it be a nudibranch (sea slug)? I think some kinds eat sea anemones, and save the stinging cells for their own use. But the part about green confuses me. That makes it sound like a plant.

What Is The Latest Development In Solar Energy?

Solar energy can potentially play a very important role in providing most of the heating, cooling and electricity needs of the world. With the emergence of solar photocatalytic detoxification technology, solar energy also has the potential to solve our environmental problems. However, we do not see widespread commercial use of solar energy. Some of the emerging developments in solar may change that situation. This paper describes some of the new and emerging developments, with special emphasis on:
(1) nanoscale antennas for direct conversion of sunlight to electricity with potential conversion efficiencies approaching 80–90%;
(2) new thermodynamic cycles for solar thermal power, that have the potential to reduce capital costs by 50%; and
(3) solar photocatalytic oxidation for cleanup of industrial wastewater, drinking water, soil and air. The paper describes the fundamentals of each of these developments, their potential, present status and future opportunities for research.

(1) Nanoscale antenna solar energy conversion: The current photovoltaic technologies rely on the quantum nature of light and semiconductors which are fundamentally limited by the band-gap energies. A revolutionary new approach suggested by Professor Robert Bailey in 1972 revolves around the wave nature of light. Professor Bailey suggested that broadband rectifying antennas could be used for solar to d.c. conversion. These rectennas would not have the fundamental limitation of semiconductor band-gap limiting their conversion efficiencies. Rectennas for solar conversion would have dimensions of the order of the wavelengths of solar radiation which falls mostly in the sub-micron range. The challenges in actually achieving the objectives are many. This paper describes the challenges and approaches to their solution.

(2) New thermodynamic cycles for solar thermal power: It is recognized that the capital costs of solar thermal power will have to be reduced by about 50% in the near future in order to make it competitive with fossil fuels (especially natural gas) based power systems. Potential exists for meeting this goal by reducing the costs and improving the thermodynamic performance of power cycles by hybridization and combined cycle approaches and by employing new and innovative ideas in thermal power cycles. This paper describes the new thermodynamic approaches with an emphasis on an innovative new thermodynamic cycle using ammonia and water mixtures as the working fluids.

(3) Solar photocatalytic detoxification and disinfection of water and air: Although the potential of solar radiation for disinfection and environmental mitigation has been known for years, only recently has this technology been scientifically recognized and researched. Solar photocatalytic oxidation has been demonstrated to effectively treat groundwater, drinking water, and industrial wastewater. In some applications such as decoloration and reduction of COD it may be the only effective method of treatment. Treatment of indoor air by the photocatalytic method has been demonstrated as the most effective technology for that application. This paper describes the recent developments and identify challenges and future research opportunities.
