What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioner, washing clothes, viewing TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are significant, numerous home owners find that the benefit, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more enticing.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically lower or even eliminate your electric expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, company, or nonprofit, electrical energy expenses can make up a big portion of your regular monthly expenses. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your utility expenses and you'll still save a lot of loan.

#2 Make a great return on your investment

Solar panels aren't an expenditure-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns rivaling those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical power expense savings, the typical American property owner settles their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against rising energy costs

One of the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, residential electricity costs have actually gone up by an average of three percent annually. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical power rate and protect against unforeseeable boosts in electrical energy expenses. If you're a service or property owner with ever-changing cash circulation, going solar also helps you better forecast and handle your costs.

#4 Boost your home or business value

Numerous research studies have discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have higher property worths and offer quicker than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial part of attaining energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to generate electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our country from cost fluctuations in global energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market included jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This development is anticipated to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related tasks tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable factor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a great way to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A typical property photovoltaic panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are important components of a company's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, customers and communities are recognizing and rewarding companies that decide to run responsibly. Companies are discovering that "green" credentials are a powerful chauffeur of consumer buying decisions, developing goodwill and improving business outcomes.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no cash down.

Numerous homeowners opt to finance their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar company-- owns the solar system and takes care of setup, maintenance, monitoring and repair works. You merely pay the solar service provider for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility companies are notorious for their fluctuating and unreliable electricity rates. There is clearly an upward trend.

With solar panels and easy mathematics, we can compute just how much electricity will be generated, and most importantly, at exactly what price, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).

If People Started Using White Roofing Shingles Would This Reduce Global Warming?
I Have Heard That Using Solar Panels Does Not Reduce Global Warming Because They Are Black And That They Actually Make The Earth Warmer. This Is Where I Got The Idea For My Question.

It would just reflect the rays, I don't think it would change anything. Either way the earth cools and heats naturally. For example when my parents where my age people were freaking out about global cooling, and now adays it's all about global warming. Just my opinion though

Could You Use A Solar Panel To Make Hho To Run A Generator To Power A Home.?

Could you use a solar panel to make hho to run a generator to power a home? ~yes~
I think if solar cells become damaged they may expose the environment to toxic materials that are within the cells. ~I believe this is a minor, perhaps negligible problem = The toxins are a problem when the solar cells are manufactured, not at disposal or damage~ if this can happen. then i don't want them near my home. so if i move them away from the home ~There is a significant possibility that remote solar cells will be stolen or vandalized~ there is significant losses in dc voltages. due to long run leads. ~you can connect many solar cells in series, and use a dc to dc converter to produce low voltage dc for electrolysis, and/or connect many electrolysis cells in series~ but if you used it away from the home you can achieve that efficiency ~ I suspect that the value of hho is seriously exaggerated, perhaps a scam~ once again by making hho to run a generator. which produces ac. ac doesn't have the long lead loss ~at the same RMS voltage, ac line losses are higher than dc line losses~ that dc would experience. and safer by distance. like being 100 miles away from a nuclear power plant verses 15 miles away. if there is a issue at hand.

Is It Possible To Build Solar Panels With Recycled Glass?
I Have An Important Eco Friendly House Project 2 Do So I Need Some Answers!!!! If U Could Also Post Some Sites That Wld B Gr8!!

It sounds like you're talking about passive solar - windows. Most of the time glass is actually "downcycled" - to use a term from the book Cradle-to-Cradle. With solar panels - photovoltaic (PV) - they use the highest quality products available. They do make one type of PV from glass, but it doesn't have the highest energy conversion rate.

Where Can I Find An Understandable?
Diagram On Building A Solar Panel To Heat My Home?

What Makes A Home Comfortable And Desireable To Live In Or Buy? Zero Energy Building, Living In An &Quot;Ecosphere&Quot;
I'M Currently Designing A Building For My Last Year Project In Industrial Design. It'S Going To Be A Completely Self Sustained Building, Prefabricated But Still Customizable In The Set Up. My Question, If You'D Build A House Or Are Looking To Buy One: What Do You Expect Or Want From A Home? What Makes It Comfortable? What Luxuries Should It Have? How Much Would You Consider Destructive Natural Forces In The Design, Such As Storms, Earthquakes, Floods And Fire? Have You Build Or Lived In A Similar Place, And Is There Anything You'D Do Different Next Time?

this is interesting as we have begun planning a house to build and we are asking ourselves the same questions

what do i want from a home: - protection, comfort, sanctuary
zero/to low impact on environment. zero to low energy use.

re destructive natural forces: we are looking at the AI Dome home designs but domes have some design limitations and the looks are only so so if you can see it. - you might not as
we are also looking at either earth-bermed or underground.

mostly i think we may go the quonset hut shape with the technology of the AI Dome type building - the shape lends itself to most home layout but still has a wide open feeling (we dont want a multistory) and if the home is placed partway up a hill we avoid flooding as well. this is also a very fire resistant way to build.

also i would use extensive insulation (i like the bluejean insulation) :) with those tube skylights - i probably would have more that one section and would connect them, maybe using shipping containers --putting the containers at least half underground and create window seats along the walls with small horizontal windows that look out on the property (to see wildlife without being seen- as i do a lot of photograpy

the front of the house would have a series of tall vertical narrow windows for letting in light without resorting to needing picture windows (heat loss, breakability, and security issues with large window masses)

what would i put in it: bamboo or cork flooring thru-out, a small soapstone masonry woodburning stove in addition to the radiant floor heating and the solar hot-water heating. in one of the extensions i would have a green house environment with water tanks that not only would filter household grey water but would raise small eating fish (mostly tilapia) solar panels would be used for electrical as well as a small windmill. hopefully being fully off grid.

using an open floor plan (the only walls would be ones that could be moved) rather japanese in feel -i would keep the colors soft and warm with pops of color in furniture and art work. with no carpeting (only cleanable area rugs) and no draperies, allergins and upkeep would be minimal.

luxuries i would want - a vulcan or wolf gas stove, subzero refrigerator and freezer. the whole house would be lined in bookcases - a large family sized dining table- computers/tvs would be a necessary luxury in our family and a place for playing music and working at our arts/crafts -a dark room for my photography

i dont know if we would want animals or not- i like the idea of raising my own chickens and pigs for food but not sure at our age we really want the responsibilty but if we did we would build the barn/henhouse on the same principals of protection and self sufficiancy.

is this the kind of thing you were looking for? it was fun to write--would love to bounce ideas of other like minded people
