What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for house owners to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your ac system, cleaning clothes, watching TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are substantial, numerous home owners find that the convenience, distinct functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more alluring.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly decrease or even eliminate your electric expenses

Whether you're a property owner, company, or not-for-profit, electrical energy expenses can make up a big part of your monthly expenses. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will reduce your energy costs and you'll still save a lot of cash.

#2 Make a great return on your financial investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they are among the best methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electricity expense savings, the typical American homeowner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against rising energy costs

One of the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge energy prices. In the past 10 years, residential electrical energy costs have actually gone up by approximately three percent yearly. By buying a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical power rate and secure versus unpredictable boosts in electrical energy costs. If you're a service or homeowner with rising and falling capital, going solar likewise helps you better forecast and manage your expenses.

#4 Increase your home or business value

Numerous research studies have discovered that homes geared up with solar energy systems have higher residential or commercial property values and offer faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar installations into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more educated about solar, demand for homes geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key part of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to create electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost fluctuations in international energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market added tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is expected to continue. Since solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a great method to reduce your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can substantially decrease that number. A typical residential photovoltaic panel system will remove 3 to four heaps of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are important components of an organization's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line results. Increasingly, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that choose to run responsibly. Organisations are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective motorist of customer purchasing choices, developing goodwill and improving company results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Lots of property owners opt to fund their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This means that a third-party business-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and takes care of setup, maintenance, monitoring and repair works. You merely pay the solar company for electricity-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy companies are notorious for their changing and unreliable electrical power costs. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and simple math, we can calculate how much electrical energy will be produced, and most notably, at exactly what cost, for at least the next 20 years (repaired energy expenses).

Financing

What are the various payment options?

We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.

Alternative Energy Thesis?
I Need Help Coming Up With A Thesis Statement Regarding Alternative Energy Being Implemented As Our Dominate Sources Of Energy Rather Than Nuclear And Fossil Fuels. Any Advice Would Be Much Appreciated. Thanks!

A proposal to convert U.S. electric grid to 65% solar by 2050 and almost 100% by 2100
Using concentrating photovoltaic and concentrating solar thermal power plants in the U.S. southwest.

Solar panels work almost anywhere. They just need photons, even diffuse photons on cloudy days is enough. Sure sunnier is better but they are practical over a fairly wide range.
The efficiency is up to 20% now at the best, and there are new thin film solar cells and panels that are cheaper to make. The power plants, I mentioned, work much better in a really sunny climate, like our southwest.

has a bunch of articles about the companies involved and the plants in California already running, being built, and under study. Pilot plants were built in the 80s and 90s and are putting out 350 megawatts. All the proposed and okayed plants in California add up to 2.6 gigawatts.
From 175 megawatts at a plant to be built near San Luis Obispo and a couple of 400 and 500 megawatt ones in the Mojave and two proposed plants of up to 800 and 900 megawatts each

They will be much bigger than the pilot plants. More should follow. Two of the companies are already building factories to mass produce the parts for the plants. For comparison; San Francisco could be powered by 1 gigawatt. Hoover Dam 2 gigawatt
medium size nuclear plant 2 gigawatt.

to see what oil really cost. http://www.setamericafree.org/saf_hidden...
benefits of solar vs oil would be a good topic.

If There Is So Much Unused Oil In Alaska?
It Seems The Reason Bush Said We Weren'T Going To Mess With The Oil In Alaska Was To Save It For Future Generations... Yet We Are Researching New Means Of Energy (Solar, Hydrogen, Etc.) Since It Is Clear That We Will Likely Be Driving Hydrogen Or Electric Powered Cars In The Future, Why Not Harvest The Oil In Alaska?

Some people see all energy options in some kind of good-versus-evil opera, and to them, oil energy is Evil. That's all. From any reasonable perspective, we should use it. What we're doing to the environment by NOT using it is having other countries drill the wells and pump the oil, those being countries that would gladly pave a rainforest without remorse if they thought it would save them a buck just today, i.e. countries that will make quite a sloppy mess getting the oil from the ground to us. Not to mention that these are mostly countries (e.g. Saudi Arabia) that we don't really need to be funding.

What'S The Pros And Cons Of Solar Energy Versus Wind Energy?
I'M Planning On Building A Business. What Would Be The Advantage Of Using Solar Cells Or Windmills To Produce The Power, Or At Least To Keep The Cost Of Electrical Power Down? The Facility Will Be In The Midwest And Will Be Opened Year Round Thru Four Seasons.

Ideally you could install what is called an hybrid system.
It is a combination of solar panels and wind turbine and its working fine.
The turbine will run 24 hours and the solar panels will produce electricity during the day.

Let'S Talk About The Us Energy Policy?
There Is No Liberal Or Conservative Slant To This Question...Democrats, We Have To Face The Fact That Our Party Has Given Into The Extreme Environmentalists, Those Who Favor Artificially Raising Gas Pump Prices (Through Taxes Mostly) To Be On Par With The Rest Of The World. That Does Two Things: It Forces Conservation (Not Entirely A Bad Thing) And Makes Alternative Energy Sources Look More Attractive. In The Meantime We Are Still Sucking Gas As A Nation And Sending Over $1 Billion Per Day To Oil Producing Countries, Many Of Whom Are Our Enemies And Would Like To See Us Dead. (Apparently Including A Guy From Canada On Ya Today) There Is A Solution To High Gas Prices And Protecting Our National Security. It Is Natural Gas. T Boone Pickens Presented (Pre-Obama) A Plan To Greatly Reduce The Use Of Oil By Converting Most Semi Trucks To Natural Gas. Since They Tend To Follow The Major Interstates, It Wouldn'T Be Too Costly To Build (Or Convert Existing) Gas Stations To Natural Gas Dispensing. There Are 5 Million Trucks On The Road, And If Just Half Were Converted It Would Save $125 Billion Per Year In Gasoline. One Issue Is &Quot;Fracking&Quot; And The Means Of Getting Natural Gas Out Of The Ground Safely. If You Ever Travel To Wyoming, You Will See That The Gas Is Practically Coming Out By Itself. The West Has Tons Of It, Enough For Something Like 140 Years. I'D Like To Hear People'S Comments About This. It Seems Like The Easy And Sensible Solution To Our Energy Problems To Me.

When you think of how much energy a massive country like the United States uses, I do not think there is one magic bullet. I am willing to discuss natural gas, wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectric, etc.
