What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for home owners to use the sun to power daily life: running your ac system, cleaning clothing, viewing TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological benefits of solar power are substantial, many property owners find that the benefit, distinct features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more alluring.

Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly minimize or perhaps remove your electric expenses

Whether you're a property owner, business, or not-for-profit, electrical power expenses can make up a big part of your regular monthly costs. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will lower your energy costs and you'll still save a lot of cash.

#2 Earn a fantastic return on your investment

Solar panels aren't an expense-- they are among the very best methods to invest, with returns matching those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical energy bill savings, the typical American homeowner settles their photovoltaic panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against rising energy expenses

One of the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge energy costs. In the past 10 years, property electricity prices have increased by an average of 3 percent each year. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can fix your electricity rate and secure versus unforeseeable increases in electricity expenses. If you're a service or house owner with ever-changing capital, going solar also helps you much better projection and manage your expenditures.

#4 Boost your home value

Numerous studies have found that houses geared up with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property worths and sell more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more educated about solar, demand for properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key element of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electrical energy from the sun, we can likewise insulate our country from rate variations in international energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar industry added tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Because solar-related jobs have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a considerable contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is an excellent method to lower your carbon footprint. Structures are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly reduce that number. A typical domestic solar panel system will get rid of three to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are crucial elements of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding businesses that opt to run responsibly. Companies are finding that "green" qualifications are an effective chauffeur of consumer acquiring choices, producing goodwill and improving company results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Lots of homeowners opt to fund their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing alternatives. This indicates that a third-party business-- the solar supplier-- owns the solar system and takes care of installation, upkeep, tracking and repairs. You simply pay the solar supplier for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility companies are well-known for their fluctuating and undependable electrical power rates. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and simple math, we can determine how much electrical energy will be produced, and most importantly, at what cost, for a minimum of the next 20 years (repaired energy costs).

Should Global Warming/Climate Change Advocates Be Outraged About Selling Excess Energy Created By Solar Panels Back To The Grid?

In reality they should pay back tax payers who subsidize it in the first place.

Will My Off The Shelf Deep Cycle Battery I Purchased At Autozone Work Well With Solar Panels?
I Need To Build A Battery Array To Use With My Solar Panels I Just Bought. I Want To Be Able To Store Enough Energy To Be Draw From It At Night, Possibly Around The Clock. Is There A Down Side To Using The Deep Cycle Battery I Bought From Autozone And 6 Or 7 More Just Like It, Or Do I Need To Get Some Other Battery?

There are batteries particularly made for solar, such as the Trojan T105-RE . I think the RE stands for "renewable energy".

A deep cycle battery should work all right, although not quite as well.

What you want to do is try out your setup first, with just one battery, and the panels provided. If this is one of those "45 watt" kits, you may be surprised at how little energy you actually get from the panels. Increasing the number of batteries won't help, either - that's like getting a larger water tank, when you only have a trickle to fill it.

If your goal is really to save money, the most cost-effective solar is the grid-tied type, with no batteries at all. That's what we have, and I've never regretted it.

Why Are We Not Using Solar Panels To Power Everyone'S Home Or Apartment Complex?
Enlighten Me.

There are a few reasons, one is the energy companies don't want us to make our own energy or they will lose revenue, so there is a lot of money being spent to misinform the public, get fossil fuel friendly candidates elected and even more money lobbying in DC and states to squash any bills that would benefit the solar industry.

Another is they aren't practical in all regions, yes you can produce some energy in some of the Northern states, but wind may be a far more practical clean solution.

People aren't willing to make the investment, because we are a transient society. For the past few decades we have moved away from actual home ownership, instead we mortgage a home and move several times. People often won't be in a home long enough to get a return on investment, so there isn't a financial incentive to spend the money upfront.

I personally have a solar PV system, but I will be in my home till I can't live on my own any longer. I was estimated to break even at 7.2 years. It will be sooner since my city raised our rates 20% the year after I had my system installed.

How Does A 30 Watt Solar Panel Power Up Things?
How Does A Solar Panel From Canadian Tire Work

A solar panel works by turning sunlight into electricity. At most 30 watts isn't much, and you get nothing at night and when there's not much sun.

Usually what you'd do is hook a whole bunch of these up to a lot of batteries to charge them, and use an inverter to convert the battery power into 110 VAC power.

This isn't cheap.

Libs Rant About &Quot;Green Energy&Quot;. Do They Have A Clue How Many Wind Farms And Solar Panels It Would Take To?
Replace Coal, Much Less Coal And Oil??? Never Mind That Solar Works Only When The Sun Shines And Wind Turbines Only Work When The Wind Blows, And That There Is No Way To Effectively Store Large Amounts Of Electricity....

Common sense dictates that we will never be entirely dependent upon alternative energy sources. It also dictates that we do not have an infinite supply of fossil fuels. At our current rate of demand, we will eventually find ourselves in a shortage situation. Nobody should want to see that. For me it's not so much a matter of being 'green' and saving the planet. I'm not that arrogant. I just think we do need to work toward finding an affordable happy medium between 'green' technology and fossil fuels. For example, I would install solar panels in a heartbeat if it was affordable to do so and I knew my power bill would all but disappear. That would both save on fossil fuels and provide me with cheap energy. It's something that people on all sides of the political spectrum should be willing to rally around, even if the motivation isn't the same for all.
