Now that the cold hard facts are starting to hit people whom were acting like stupid sheep before, lapping up all the BS these green supporters spouted off, they are angry and not listening to them as much. With all the so called "experts" whom have sold thier reputations down the river for fame and to "jump on that bandwagon", they have little credibility today.

It's a matter of perspective. I had a system installed on my house that produces over 50% of my winter electricity and 75% of my summer electricity. It cuts my electric bills by about $2000 per year. The system cost $26K, but I got a rebate from my utility of $10K so I only paid $16K. Many people would say that is a lot of money. The system will pay for itself in 6.5 years, it is guaranteed for 25 years, so I will be getting most of my energy for free for about 18 years. If you also take into account that electricity rates increase an average of 5% each year, which means in about 14 years will will be paying double what we are paying today for electricity. I will be saving well over $50K over the life of the panels.

They have become more affordable with better tax credits as well. I only got a $2K fed tax credit. Starting this year you can get 30% of the total cost as a tax credit which would have increased my tax credit to $7800.

Another thing to compare it to. I paid $32K for my pool and $22K for my wood floors. So, my panels are the least expensive of the major upgrades I've made to my home.
