What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for house owners to use the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning unit, washing clothes, enjoying TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, lots of home owners discover that the benefit, unique features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more enticing.

Leading Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably reduce or even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, organization, or nonprofit, electrical power expenses can comprise a big part of your regular monthly expenses. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will minimize your utility expenses and you'll still conserve a great deal of loan.

#2 Make a fantastic return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the very best methods to invest, with returns matching those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electricity expense savings, the typical American house owner settles their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure versus rising energy expenses

One of the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge energy rates. In the past 10 years, residential electrical power rates have increased by approximately 3 percent every year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electricity rate and safeguard against unforeseeable increases in electricity expenses. If you're an organisation or property owner with ever-changing money circulation, going solar also helps you better forecast and manage your costs.

#4 Boost your home value

Multiple research studies have found that homes geared up with solar energy systems have higher property worths and sell quicker than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar installations into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more educated about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to generate electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our country from cost fluctuations in global energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your local economy

According to The Solar Foundation, the solar market included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Since solar-related tasks tend to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is an excellent way to lower your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A normal residential solar panel system will get rid of three to 4 tons of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are important elements of a company's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line results. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding services that opt to operate responsibly. Businesses are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective chauffeur of consumer buying decisions, developing goodwill and enhancing company results.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Many homeowners opt to finance their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This implies that a third-party company-- the solar company-- owns the planetary system and takes care of installation, maintenance, tracking and repair works. You just pay the solar supplier for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy companies are infamous for their varying and unreliable electricity costs. There is plainly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and easy mathematics, we can determine just how much electricity will be generated, and most importantly, at what price, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy costs).

Financing

What are the various payment options?

We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.

The Lease

  • Low, fixed payments each month
  • System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
  • Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal

Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

  • We own the solar panel system
  • $0 down for installation
  • Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use

Purchase

  • Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
  • System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
  • Receive 30% federal tax credit
  • See a return on investment within 7-10 years

What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?

We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.

What is the warranty?

The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Heat My Pool (900Sqft) By Solar Power?
What Size Would The Panels Need To Be? I Live In The Caribbean So Plenty Of Sun! Http://Www.Jandy.Com/Html/Products/Heatpumps/Ae2500.Php Is The Heater I Use Now.

Yes U can. Solar heaters come large, small, industrial use or hook up several in series or just do it yourself. Build a large box to fit on roof of your house or garage from galvanised or stainless metal that reflects heat, then inside line large copper tubing; pipes along side forming a bend of 4 inches each end from the top of UR box to the bottom, then a thinner section of narrow copper pipes, half and half into a copper or stainless tank and insulate the tank to keep the water hot. The beginning is hooked up to the water supply; the tank end is the out let to tap for hot water
By the way for a big pool; you'll need a lot of copper pipes, that will be expensive but will heat the pool when its sunny, but tough luck if you cop a wet season, You'll have to wait for a dry season but if you consult your local plumber he'll show you what’s on the market readily available; another device would be a lot of solar panels to drive a series of batteries to hook up to a 250 volt inverter to run a pool heater which is slow to heat where the copper pipe and tank unit heats better. Several units that will cost you thousands, A welding shop can fabricate something' cheaper if you get the right plumber. If you can weld and braze you can make one yourself where the copper pipes are heated by sun and produce sizzling hot water but if you got the dollars its expensive but will save you heaps in electricity later. Don't forget wind power is much stronger energy to produce electricity to power pool heaters other wise a lot of solar cells will be needed and that's too expensive; it’s the rectifier that will burst your wallet. So contact your electrician or plumber what’s on the market or simply do it yourself

Solar Panel 2 M2 Absorbs Energy At 950W/M2, In A 110 Liter Tank How Long To Heat Water From 15 To 65 Celsius?
A Solar Panel Of Area 2M Square Absorbs Energy At The Rate Of 950W/M2 . Assuming That All The Energy Will Be Used To Heat The Water Of A 110 Liter Tank How Long Will It Take To Increase The Water Temperature From 15 To 65 Degree Celcius??

The energy, Q, in joules required to heat water is calculated as:

Q = m x C x (T2 - T1)

Where, T1= 15C
T2=65c
m= 110kg = 110,000g
C=4.18J/c/g specific heat capacity of water

Thus, Q = 110000 x 4.18 x (65 - 15)
= 22.99 MJ

For here know that 1 watt-hour is equivalent to 3,600 joules (1 W x 3600 s)

Thus, 22.99MJ = 22.99M/3600 = 6.386 kWhrs

The solar panel absorbs 950W/m2 x 2 m2 = 1900W = 1.9 kW
Thus the total time requires is 6.386kWhrs/1.9kW = 3.361Hrs

Of course this answer assumes that all the energy will be used to heat the water.

Does A 5V Solar Panel Charge A 3.7 V Battery ? Is It Safe For The Battery ?
I Want To Make A Solar Powered Wireess Charger. My Cellphone Battery Is 3.7 Volts An The Solar Panel Is 5 V ? Is It Safe To Charge My Phone ? Should I Add Something Like A Step Down ?

How are you charging it? You can't just take a solar panel and plug in a battery.

You can take a solar panel and feed a charging circuit. For instance, you can feed it into your phone with the battery inside. The charging circuits inside the phone will correct the power, protect the battery, and prevent reverse current from discharging it.

Otherwise, you need to have a charging circuit. Example: http://www.adafruit.com/products/390

Is 18 Gauge Speaker Wire Ok To Use?
I Recently Built A 50W Solar Panel And Am Now Ready To Attach The Wires That Will Go To Power Things. Is Using 18 Gauge Speaker Wire Ok? I'Ve Used It With My 5 And 10 Watt Panels, But The Current On Them Is Much Less. Here, I'Ll Have Around 4 Amps. And I'M Not Sure If My Speaker Wire Is Designed To Handle That Much Current.

18 wire is 6.4 ohms per 1000 feet.
If you have a run of 100 feet, that is 200 feet of cable, so the resistance would be about 1 ohm, which is a 4 volt drop at 4 amps. A power loss of 16 watts.

Use something thicker. #12 is 1.6 ohms / 1000 feet, so the numbers are 0.3 ohms, 1.2 volts and 5 watts loss.

#10 is 1.0 ohms / 1000 feet, so the numbers are 0.2 ohms, 0.8 volts and 3 watts loss

#8 is 0.6 ohms / 1000 feet, so the numbers are 0.12 ohms, 0.5 volts and 2 watts loss

It comes down to how much money do you want to spend on wire versus power loss.

If this is running outdoors, use outdoor rated cable, not speaker wire. Don't forget some sort of lightning protection.

edit: re additional details (and it would have been better if you listed those before)

3 ft x 2 = 6 ft
#18, 6.4 ohms/1000 ft, so this is 0.038 ohms. Voltage drop at 4 amps is 0.15 volts and power loss is 0.6 watts

#18 would work, as the 0.6 watts loss is small. But if you want to avoid even that, go with a larger size, 16 or 14 or even 12
