What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioning system, cleaning clothing, viewing TV, cooking dinner. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are substantial, numerous residents find that the benefit, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more attractive.

Top Ten Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically decrease and even remove your electric bills

Whether you're a homeowner, business, or nonprofit, electrical power costs can comprise a large portion of your month-to-month costs. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll generate complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your energy bills and you'll still save a lot of cash.

#2 Earn an excellent return on your investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the finest ways to invest, with returns matching those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electricity bill savings, the average American homeowner settles their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against increasing energy expenses

One of the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge utility costs. In the past ten years, residential electrical energy rates have gone up by approximately 3 percent every year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and protect against unforeseeable increases in electrical power costs. If you're a company or house owner with changing capital, going solar also helps you better projection and handle your expenses.

#4 Increase your home value

Several research studies have actually discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have higher residential or commercial property worths and sell faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, demand for properties geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial component of achieving energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to generate electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our country from rate changes in global energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar industry added jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant factor to the United States economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is an excellent way to decrease your carbon footprint. Buildings are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can substantially decrease that number. A typical domestic solar panel system will eliminate three to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are essential components of a company's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Significantly, consumers and communities are recognizing and rewarding businesses that select to operate responsibly. Businesses are discovering that "green" qualifications are an effective motorist of consumer buying decisions, developing goodwill and enhancing company outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Many homeowners pick to finance their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding options. This suggests that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the planetary system and takes care of setup, upkeep, tracking and repair works. You simply pay the solar company for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy business are infamous for their fluctuating and unreliable electrical energy prices. There is clearly an upward trend.

With solar panels and simple mathematics, we can determine how much electrical energy will be created, and most notably, at exactly what rate, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).

Who Are The Top 5 Manufacturers Of Industrial Solar Panels, Industrial Humidifiers & Water Pumps?
All I Need Are Company Names. &Quot;Top&Quot; Means &Quot;Companies That Produce The Most Revenue&Quot;. This Question Should Result In 3 Lists Of 5 Companies (15 Companies). Finally, For The Last Question, I'M Specifically Interested In Agricultural Water Pumps. Thanks!!

Solar panels, look into Sharp, Suntech Power, Q-Cells as the top producers. I'm not so certain about the crowded players under them - probably Kyocera, Mitsubishi, Sanyo. Possibly First Solar and Sunpower. Of course, the Japanese companies produce other things besides solar panels, so you can't just look at total company revenue.

Hi Does Anyone Knows Of A Place Where I Can Learn To Install Solar Panels?

You can get some really good guides online. I found this website - that lists the best guides on the internet. I eventually bought earth4energy - man was I impressed. Honestly, i can barely wire a plug but I've already managed to build my own set of solar panels that work (well so far). They cost me around $150 and a bit of time - but thats much cheaper than buying it from the local DIY store.

What Does Electricity Do To The Environment?
I Am Doing A Project On How Much Really Electricity Impacts The Environment. I'M Only Asking Questions That Basically I Can'T Find. I Figured Another Person With Another Veiw On This Would Point Me In The Direction Of Finding A Source For My Research. What Are Various Things That You Know Electricity Does To The Environment? How Much Does It Affect The Environment? How Much Does Turbines And Solar Panels Have To With The Damage? Do They Cause The Majority Of The Damage? I'M Mainly Looking For A Source Regarding How Much Damage(To The Environment)Solar Panels And Turbines Make By Producing Electricity. List Your Sources To The Exact Place You Found The Information.

The most significant damage to the environment in the production of electricity is the pollution from coal burning power plants. Dark plums of pollution are released into the atmosphere causing acid rain, smog, cancer and even global warming.

The next most significant damaging electrical production process is actually hydro-electric dams. Although the production of electricity from these damns are pollution free, the fact that they stop the flow of water is what causes the most damage. This creates stagnant water with rotting leaves and debree which break down and create methane gasses. Not to mention the ecological disasters that happen down stream from lack of sediment and nutriants.

Wind power/wind turbines are very clean and very effective ways of producing electricty. Yes some birds are killed by wind turbines, but the number is so very small compaired to natural deaths and deaths of birds running into glass buildings that I consider it almost insignificant.

Solar power, in my opinion is the ultimate alternative energy. Solar panels are getting more efficient and less expensive at a rate of 5% per year and are a great way to escape the grasp of your local electricity companies. The energy is clean and not pollution is produced in the conversion process (like wind). Of course the production of wind turbines and solar panels do use resources, however when compaired as a whole to other "dirty" forms of electricity, Solar and Wind are by far the cleanest.

Hope that helps ya out!

What Is The Best Solar Panel To Install In A House?
Hi All! I’M Interested In Making A Solar Panel To Be Connected In My Rooftop. Which Is Better An Amorphous Silicon Or Polycrystalline Silicon? Anyone Can Give Me Info On How Can I Buy This Product Here In The Philippines, Luzon? Thx To All.

Hi there.

Here is some useful info for you.

Solar Power, An Introduction
Solar panels or modules convert sunlight directly in to D.C. electricity. This is a semiconductor process within the silicon cells. The light energy is transferred to electrons where it is available as electricity, from this you will see that the output is dependent on the amount of light energy falling on the panel. Temperature has an effect but is negligible in comparison. Panels are usually designed to charge a battery of 12volts, during charging a higher voltage of about 14volts is required to force a charge in to the battery. A panel will have a voltage of about 20volts with no load. When the panel is connected to the battery a charging current will flow in to the battery causing the panel voltage to drop to the battery voltage of 12-14volts. Panels can also be connected in parallel, this increases the power output by adding together current produced by each panel.

The power output depends on the weather, siting of panels and many other variables - therefore exact figures are very difficult. From experience in clear sunny weather an output peak of about 80-100% of the panels rated output power can be expected. An average of 50% over the day can be improved upon by moving the panel to track the sun. As it is difficult to define light levels without expensive equipment, a guide to when panels begin to charge the battery system is that dark and grey clouds remove the direct light that the panels require to give a useful output, white clouds allow enough direct light to pass through. Overcast days will usually produce sufficient to overcome battery self discharge.

Solar Regulator
A regulator/charge controller is required when the maximum current in to the battery exceeds 10% of battery capacity in Amp hours. Use of a regulator/charge controller will prevent over-charging of the battery, and is essential with large panels or when using small capacity batteries. If the output of a solar panel is less than 10% of the battery capacity a diode may be used instead of a regulator. When the panel is able to supply power to the battery, the diode lets it through, when the panel cannot supply power (at night or in bad weather) the diode prevents the battery discharging back through the panel. Fuses should be used as a safety measure, and fitted as close to the battery as possible.

Panels can also power equipment directly, these should be loads such as fans and pumps, not voltage sensitive equipment like televisions, radios etc. When using solar power to charge a battery, equipment can be connected and used at the same time, the battery will stabilise the voltage.

Types of Solar Cells
Essentially four solar cell technologies are available commercially:

Single Crystal Silicon (Mono-Crystalline)
Cells are sliced from a pure crystalline silicon ingot.
(~15% conversion efficiency).

CIS (Copper Indium Diselenide)
Representing the latest development in Thin film technology solar cells. Approximately 11% efficient.

Poly-Crystalline or Multi-Crystalline Silicon
Molten silicon is poured into a mould and then sliced into cells. Now the most efficient technology (~16% conversion efficiency).

Amorphous Silicon
Commonly used in toys, calculators and consumer electronics. Thin film technology, inexpensive but least efficient alternative (~8% efficient).

What size of panel do I need?Required for 12 Volt Battery Charging (ideal conditions).

This depends on the size of battery you have, the amount of power you use and the amount of light available each day. In power terms we measure the amount of energy consumed in amp hours. A 1 Amp draw over 2 hours is a total of 2 Amp hours (AHr) of current.

Determine the number of Amp hours you will use to run your electrical equipment in one day such as lights, TV, Stereo. If you divide the wattage of the equpment by 12 this will give you an approximate Amp per hour rate.

e.g A typical 15" LCD Television rated at 36 watts uses approximately 3 Amps per hour.

The maximum current available from a solar panel is given by dividing the panel Wattage by 17.

e.g. A 75 Watt solar panel will give a maximum charging current of: 75 divided by 17 = 4.4 Amps per hour.

Where possible it is a good idea to reduce the amount of energy you consume our low power TV's and Low energy Lights are good solutions.
