About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your ac system, cleaning clothes, viewing TV, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological benefits of solar power are substantial, numerous property owners discover that the benefit, unique features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more attractive.
Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll generate free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will decrease your energy bills and you'll still conserve a lot of cash.
#2 Earn a terrific return on your investment
Photovoltaic panels aren't an expenditure-- they are among the best methods to invest, with returns matching those of more standard investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical power costs savings, the average American house owner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Secure against increasing energy expenses
Among the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the ability to hedge energy rates. In the past 10 years, residential electrical power prices have increased by an average of 3 percent each year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and safeguard against unpredictable boosts in electrical power expenses. If you're a service or property owner with fluctuating capital, going solar also assists you much better projection and manage your expenditures.
#4 Increase your house value
Multiple studies have discovered that homes geared up with solar energy systems have greater home worths and offer quicker than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar installations into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more educated about solar, need for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Increase U.S. energy independence
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electricity from the sun, we can likewise insulate our country from price changes in global energy markets.
#6 Develop jobs and assist your local economy
Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar industry added jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This growth is anticipated to continue. Since solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial factor to the U.S. economy.
#7 Secure the environment
Solar is a terrific method to lower your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A common domestic solar panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.
#8 Show your commitment to sustainability
Sustainability and corporate social obligation are essential components of an organization's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line results. Significantly, customers and communities are recognizing and rewarding organisations that choose to run properly. Businesses are finding that "green" qualifications are a powerful motorist of consumer getting decisions, developing goodwill and improving organisation results.
#9 Start Conserving from Day 1
Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.
Numerous property owners choose to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This suggests that a third-party company-- the solar supplier-- owns the solar system and takes care of setup, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You just pay the solar company for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility company.
As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment
The utility business are infamous for their changing and unreliable electrical power prices. There is clearly an upward trend.
With photovoltaic panels and basic mathematics, we can calculate just how much electricity will be created, and most significantly, at what rate, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions
Is It Possible To Have Solar Panels In The Middle Of A Desert Transported To A City?
I Was Wondering If You Put Solar Panels In A Desert Where There Was A Lot Of Sun Beating Down On It, If You Could Effectively Transport It To A Nearby City To Be Used For Electricity In The City Or Even Distributed Further Away Like Being Sold For Energy?
Yes, of course.
Many, many power stations of different sorts lie miles away from the consumer. Solar farms (what you're describing) are just electricity producers. The power they make is identical to that from oil-powered plants, nuclear plants, wind farms, hydroelectric, etc. You find these all over the place, near cities and far away from them.

Al Gore Invests In Green Technology, He Has Done So For A Long Time And Makes No Secret About That. However, He Hasn'T Made Any Money As A Result Of Any Policy Or Law That Has Passed.... He Has Made Money By Investing In Green Technologies That Individuals And Companies Actually Want To Buy.

Is USA today a good source? I also have a good source which is a very close friend to Al Gore.
Then there is the troubling matter of his energy use. In the Washington, D.C., area, utility companies offer wind energy as an alternative to traditional energy. In Nashville, similar programs exist. Utility customers must simply pay a few extra pennies per kilowatt hour, and they can continue living their carbon-neutral lifestyles knowing that they are supporting wind energy. Plenty of businesses and institutions have signed up. Even the Bush administration is using green energy for some federal office buildings, as are thousands of area residents.
But according to public records, there is no evidence that Gore has signed up to use green energy in either of his large residences. When contacted Wednesday, Gore's office confirmed as much but said the Gores were looking into making the switch at both homes. Talk about inconvenient truths.

Not long ago, he was the butt of jokes--lockbox, earth tones, a postelection beard. Then he dusted off an old slide show and jumped with both feet into the private sector. The untold story of how an epic loser engineered what may be the greatest brand makeover of our time.
Edit: So you don't like USA Today, what about the other piece from his long time partner about him re-inventing himself to the tune of 100 million dollars, or is that a blog also.
Making Solar Panels Bad For The Environment?
Solar Panels Do Good More Then Bad?
Like any other materials, solar panels need to be manufactured. These components are usually imported, they use energy to produce and transport.
However, once you install solar panels, they need little or no maintenance (except cleaning to maintain efficiency) and they use no other resources to produce power.
Over their lifespan, they'll produce more energy than was used to be made, so on the whole good for the environment.
Can Any Light Reflecting Object Be A Material For Making Solar Panels? If Not Please Tell Me What Can.?
I Was Thinking If I Can Make The Cheapest Solar Panel Ever!!! Sorry If I'M Getting So Ambitious. I Just Want To Have A Clean Free Electricity Powered Household.
Well theoretically they can, but you don't want reflective solar panels! That's just an effect of how they are currently made. The best solar panels keep in the most UV rays, they just haven't found a way to make a dark material that has the same photovoltaic effect (making light into energy). They have already made a certain type of fabric 100x darker than black. reflectivity is around 0.01% and there are plans to put it in solar panels as it with keep in the most UV rays which are what makes the energy, not the visible light. A bit of extra info - the black is made of tubes 1 atom in diameter. Amazing huh? But if you've got a good idea don't be afraid to discuss it with local universities even if you don't attend! They will love to help and give feedback. Keep up the thinking :D. It could be you who solves our global dilemma!!
