What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to use the sun to power everyday life: running your ac system, washing clothing, seeing TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are considerable, many home owners discover that the benefit, special functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more alluring.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically reduce or even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a house owner, business, or not-for-profit, electrical energy expenses can make up a large portion of your monthly expenses. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will lower your energy costs and you'll still save a lot of loan.

#2 Make an excellent return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the very best methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical power expense savings, the average American homeowner settles their solar panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect against increasing energy costs

Among the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge energy rates. In the past 10 years, property electrical energy costs have increased by approximately 3 percent every year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and protect versus unforeseeable increases in electricity expenses. If you're a business or house owner with ever-changing cash circulation, going solar also helps you much better projection and manage your expenses.

#4 Boost your home value

Several studies have actually found that houses equipped with solar energy systems have higher property values and offer more rapidly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, need for residential or commercial properties equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial component of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost changes in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar industry included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This development is expected to continue. Since solar-related jobs tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a significant contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a terrific method to reduce your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical property solar panel system will get rid of three to 4 heaps of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and business social obligation are essential components of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that decide to run properly. Services are finding that "green" qualifications are an effective chauffeur of consumer purchasing choices, creating goodwill and enhancing organisation results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Lots of homeowners decide to fund their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This suggests that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar supplier for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility business are notorious for their changing and undependable electrical power rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and basic math, we can calculate what does it cost? electricity will be generated, and most importantly, at exactly what rate, for a minimum of the next Twenty Years (fixed energy costs).

Financing

What are the various payment options?

We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.

  • Receive 30% federal tax credit
  • See a return on investment within 7-10 years

What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?

We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.

What is the warranty?

The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Is Uv Increasing In The Tropical Regions?
Why Do You Hear Corals (Like In The Caribbean) Being Affected By Increase In Uv, And Yet The Ozone Layer Is The Greatest In Tropic Region. Plus, After The Montreal Protocol, The Ozone Depletion Decreased And Then Stabilized. So How Is Uv Still Increasing?

"How is UV increasing in the tropical regions?"

Because the ozone layer is depleted, year around, over / near the equator. Has been getting worse every year, since the late 1700s. Take a look at this:
http://blogs.agu.org/wildwildscience/fil...
... you can see the 2006 ozone hole in black. See the red band over the equator in both images? This ozone is at very low levels too, and it is receiving lots of UV that should be making new / more ozone.

"Why do you hear corals (like in the caribbean) being affected by increase in UV,"

Because UV of that wavelength, is not stopped by a few inches depth of water.

"and yet the ozone layer is the greatest in tropic region."

False. The highest year around insolation (light from the Sun) is highest "in the tropic region", but trade winds loft whatever water vapor is present, and with increasing surface temperature, more water vapor is present. Water vapor both blocks ozone formation (via stabilizing NOx* free radicals that would otherwise decay into ozone), and providing a photocatalytic decay path (essentially via formation of H2O2).

"Plus, after the Montreal Protocol, the ozone depletion decreased and then stabilized. So how is UV still increasing?"

You believe the politicians, when they started patting each other on their backs? Ozone layer farther from the equator thickened a little, but ozone layer near the equator got thinner. What is more, we had another record-sized, late-season, ozone hole just last year.

UV is still increasing, because we choose to deny our effects on climate, and this has consequences. We lose more and more arable land, because the UV sterilizes the soil, and fries anything that tries to live near the ocean's surface.

Now imagine if we had Cloud Nine's, equipped with the means to coalesce water vapor from the air, using solar panels, perhaps...

What'S The Are Best Career'S Without A College Degree?
I Just Wanted To Know What Are The Best Career'S Without A College Degree. I Live Up In Vermont So There Really Isn'T Much That I Know Of For Good Careers. Although I Am Currently Taking Classes To Get My Associate'S Degree In Accounting But I'M Not Sure How I'Ll Do With That.

Network installers, network administrators, computer systems administrators
If you enjoy tinkering with computers and wireless-network routers, consider this field. The business slowdown may have damped demand a bit, but it'll rebound fast as the economy picks up, says Laurence Shatkin, co-author of "300 Best Jobs Without a Four-Year Degree." Salary: $49,801.

Police officer
Law-and-order types who enjoy working with people might consider a quick career change into law enforcement. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports some police departments take candidates right out of high school and let them start with just a few months of training provided by the department, while others require one to two years of police-academy training. $47,485.

Court reporter
This one's a great recession-proof career for those who enjoy courtroom drama. There's great job security as the courts must continue to function in good times or bad, notes author Shatkin. $47,275.

Clinical laboratory technologist
Science nuts who regularly watch "CSI" might want to consider this line of work. Clinical lab techs examine tissue and body fluids under a microscope and test them for diseases. This field is expected to grow as new diagnostic tests continue to be developed, says Shatkin. Entry into the field requires at least a two-year training course from either a technical college or hospital. $47,081.

Heating-ventilation-air conditioning (HVAC) installer
If you enjoy working with your hands, this job's got that, along with the satisfaction of knowing you're helping people stay cool -- or warm. You can earn the required certificate at a community college, private school or online (click here for a list of schools), and get started in just a few months. $44,814.

Computer numerical control
In areas of the country that still have a strong manufacturing base, there's demand for people who can program the robots that do much of today's assembly-line work, says Bryan Albrecht, president of Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. "You need strong analytical decision making skills, where you can diagnose a problem in a machine," he says. $44,629.

Solar energy systems installer
This and many other "green" jobs are hot now, as the recently signed federal stimulus bill put billions into alternative energy and energy conservation. Albrecht reports classes in this field are filling up fast at his college, as a boom in installing solar panels is expected. $44,460.

Correctional officer
Working in prisons can be stressful and hazardous, so it pays pretty well. Corrections can also be a good option for those who want to work the night shift, as prisons must be staffed 24/7. The federal Bureau of Labor Statistics report on this occupation notes that local and state prisons may accept high school graduates without further training. $42,795.

Security and fire-alarm systems installers
Demand for security systems, Webcams and fire alarms is increasing, author Shatkin says, because the price of these systems is falling. The National Alarm Association of America says training can be done in less than two weeks and costs under $1,000. $41,417.

Aircraft mechanic
People who enjoy tinkering with their cars -- and live near an airport -- might consider this field, which pays better than automotive repair. Unless Americans suddenly give up their love affair with cheap travel, this field is expected to see continued steady growth. According to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, roughly 170 schools nationwide are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to offer the needed training, which usually takes between 18 months and two years. $39,584.

What About A New Roof With My Trees Nearby?
I'D Need To Hire A Professional. I Don'T Think I Can Do This With A Little One On My Hip. I'M A Busy Mommy. I Can Do Some Stuff, But Not This Roof Stuff. It'S Serious Work. I'M Busy With Mommy'S Daycare Of One Child (My Own.) Business.

You will need a roofing contractor to tell you how much it will cost. The house inspector can help you with references.

From personal experience I recommend you stay away from white or light gray colored roofs. Algae grows on roofs, especially with trees close by. Have you seen light colored roofs on homes that have big black or dirty looking streaks on them? This is from algae and make a homes roof look awful. To clean it you have to have the right chemical and pressure washer to get rid of it, and it will come back. Medium colored shingles are your best bet. Tin roofs outlast shingled roofs, most tin roofs last about 50 years vs. 15 + yrs for shingles. Tin roofs are also much more expensive than shingled roofs. A contractor will advise you what is recommended for your climate, life span and cost.

Congrats on your new home!!

I have a solar water heating system that will hopefully make it through another hurricane season. All bets are off.

I have all energy and water efficient appliances, but it's a slippery slope. In order to get my clothing as clean as they should be, I need to run the washer for longer than my old one. So, do I save water or energy?

We also sprayed soy foam insulation in our rafters. That reduced our costs significantly.

I walk daily, but the grocery store is 4 miles away and it's darned hot here!
