What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioner, washing clothes, enjoying TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are substantial, many residents find that the convenience, special functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.

Leading Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably lower or perhaps remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a property owner, organization, or not-for-profit, electrical power costs can make up a big part of your regular monthly expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will lower your utility bills and you'll still save a great deal of cash.

#2 Make an excellent return on your investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical power costs cost savings, the typical American property owner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against rising energy expenses

Among the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge utility costs. In the past 10 years, property electricity rates have gone up by an average of 3 percent yearly. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and secure against unpredictable boosts in electrical power costs. If you're a company or homeowner with changing money circulation, going solar also helps you better forecast and manage your costs.

#4 Boost your home or business worth

Several studies have found that homes geared up with solar energy systems have greater property values and offer more rapidly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more educated about solar, demand for homes geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of accomplishing energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost variations in global energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar market included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a terrific way to reduce your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A common domestic solar panel system will get rid of 3 to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are necessary components of a company's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding services that decide to run responsibly. Services are discovering that "green" qualifications are a powerful motorist of customer acquiring decisions, creating goodwill and improving service outcomes.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.

Lots of house owners opt to fund their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This means that a third-party company-- the solar provider-- owns the planetary system and looks after installation, upkeep, tracking and repair works. You just pay the solar service provider for electricity-- less than you would've paid the energy business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility business are infamous for their changing and undependable electrical energy costs. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and basic math, we can calculate how much electrical power will be generated, and most importantly, at what price, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Energy Is Used To Generate Electric Energy In Hydro Electric Power Plants?
The Input Energy To The Water Turbine Is The Kinetic Energy Of Water. This Kinetic Energy Is Caused Due To The Potential Energy Of Water Store In The Dams. Its Due To The Rains That The Dams Are Filled With Water. The Sun Is Responsible To Cause The Rains. So Here We Can Say That The Only Input Energy For Generating Electric Energy Is The Solar Energy. Now Lets See This Process In Detail. 1) The Solar Energy Causes The Water On The Surface Of Earth To Evaporate. The Water Absorbs The Latent Heat Changes Its Phase To Water Vapor. 2) Now As The Density Of The Water Vapor Is Less.... The Surrounding Cold Air Of High Density Lifts The Water Vapor Due To Bouyoncy Force. Here Gravity Works. It Is Due To Gravitational Pull On High Dense Air That Causes The Low Dense Hot Water Vapor To Rise. 3)Up In The Atmosphere The Temperature Is Very Low( - 40 Degree Celcius). So The Water Vapor Losses Its Latent Heat And Condenses To Water. It Even Gets Further Condensed To Form Ice. Now As We See The Solar Energy That Was Used In This Process Is Lost To The Upper Atmosphere. So Which Energy Is Used To Generate Electric Energy? I Have Already Asked This Question. But I Dont Agree With The Explanation. There Explanation Is Like This.... The Solar Energy Itself Is Utilized To Raise The Water Up And Give It The Potential Energy. The Kinetic Energy Of The Molecules Of Vapor Is Used To Raise The Vapor. So As The Vapor Raises Up Its Molecules Kinetic Energy Goes On Decreasing And Hence It Cools To Form Water. But The Kinetic Energy Of The Molecules Of Vapor Is In All The Directions. So Why Would It Follow Only The Path That Is Against Gravity. And Also It Is Due To The Boyouncy Force That The Vapor Is Lifted Up. So Why Would It Loose Its Internal Energy In Lifting Up Itself. I Know That As You Go Up In The Atmosphere The Pressure Goes On Reducing. And As The Pressure Reduces The Vapor Expands Adiabatically And Its Temperature Reduces. But Even If The Pressure Reduces It Has To Give Away Its Latent Heat To Change The Phase And Get Condensed To Water. Please Just Dont Say Its Not Possible Because It Violates The First Law Of Thermodynamics. Let Me Know Where I Have Made Mistake. Waiting For Your Reply Friends. Thankyou.

Look at it another way, the solar energy heats the water and causes it to vaporize. It also heats the air. The result is warm air with water vapor mixed in. This rises because it is less dense than cooler air. In the macro sense, cool air flows in from other parts of the ocean that were cooler then the hot area where the sun was shining, it, the cool air, displaces the hot air, which goes up because of it's lower density.

This continues until there is a layer of hot moist air above the ocean, and again, high altitude winds caused by temperature differentials push the hot moist air over land where it cools and falls as rain.

You are getting into weather and winds and such which can get very complicated.

edit: "So are we getting energy due to gravity"

no, it is due to the sun. The energy of the sun heats the air/water. It moves upwards AGAINST gravity because it is of a lower density. Then later it returns down, but not quite as far, so the net is it moves upwards because of the solar warming.

Solar Energy Is The Best Choice For India, Why?
Please Give At Least 5 Points On This Question. Thank You

I don't think it's the 'best' in the same way that protein isn't the 'best' nutrient. You can't get by on one thing alone!

Solar is great because:
a) India has pretty good sunlight - http://www.alternativeenergydiscounthous...

b) solar power is quite an 'intense' form of renewable power - you get more electricity out of 10m^2 of solar panels than you do 10m^2 of wind farm.

c) solar is better for poorer areas without grid access because it's easy and cheaper to install than new electricity lines.

d) India doesn't have enough fuel to supply itself:
http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/cabs/India/O...
Solar doesn't need fuel, so you don't have to keep sending money abroad. And you know the price you'll pay for solar straight up, whilst oil and gas prices go up and down. You can get caught out by big price rises.

e) Solar power is very low in terms of air pollution (kills 3 million people worldwide each year iirc) and CO2. The world needs to drastically cut CO2 emissions to reduce the risk of dangerous climate change (Which would cause a problem for India - flooding in Bangladesh could cause a lot of refugees trying to get into your country).

Solar is still probably a little too expensive (especially when you consider the need for batteries etc to store it for night times!), but it's getting there. Prices have dropped a lot, they're still dropping and I think they're going to drop a lot further. Solar is a good hope for the future.

EDIT: answerer below brings up a good point too. This is usually solved in other countries by tilting the panels or by 'roughing up' the front glass layer. So it's not much of a problem in most cases! Although it might add a bit more cost in other countries?

Solar Energy??
How Does This Energy Source Operate? Where Does It Come From And How Was It Formed? Is It Renewable Or Non-Renewable? Will This Energy Source Run Out? How Efficient Is This Energy Source? What Are The Advantages Of Using This Type Of Energy? What Are The Disadvantages Of Using Your Solar Energy? (I Know Its A Lot Of Questions But You Don'T Have 2 Answer All Of Them @ Once! Thanks Heaps!)

Pure Silicon reacts to sunlight by freeing electrons, moving electrons = electricity. That's all there is to it, other than hooking up a wire so that those free electrons have someplace to move.

Unsubsidized Solar doesn't compete with Coal yet, for cost. It does, however come pretty close. I put in solar panels in 1984 and they're still running. The batteries are the worst part, but still it's paid for itself easily and it makes us feel like we're doing something.

The very best solar cell is 41%, Boeing makes that panel. It's a concentrator cell, which means the sunlight is focused on the silicon. Most commercial solar panels struggle to get 15%.

The disadvantage to solar is that it powers in sunlight only. The rest we could work with, the cost is better if you look long term enough, and there's no pollution. In the short term another disadvantage is that there's a shortage of purified silicon. There's plenty out there, but it has to be processed, and that takes time. Because of that solar panels are on back order in most places.

The advantages are that they don't damage our world after manufacture, they work off grid if needed so remote places or in disaster electricity is available, they're silent and they pay for themselves in time and then keep right on paying.

What Is The Definition Of Energy Transformation?
Im In 7Th Grade Soooooooo What Is An Easy Definiton I Couldnt Find One In The Dicionary

Energy transformation is the process of energy changing from one form to another. This process is happening all the time in the world around us and even in us. When we consume food our body utilizes the chemical energy in the bonds of the food and transforms it into mechanical energy, a new form of chemical energy or thermal energy. Energy transformation is an important concept in the application of the physical sciences. The ability for energy to be transformed automates, lights, entertains, and warms our world in an astounding multitude of ways.

The concept of energy transformation can be illustrated in a number of common activities:
1.An engine, such as the engine in your car, converts the chemical energy of gas and oxygen into the mechanical energy of engine movement.
2. A light bulb changes the chemical energy of a light bulb into electromagnetic radiation, or light.
3. Windmills harness the energy of the wind and convert it into mechanical energy in the movement of the turbine blades, which is then converted to electrical energy.
4. Solar panels transform light to electricity

Hope that helps you!

Why Is Solar Power Or Electrical Power Better Than Coal Or Oil?
Need Help With This Answer For My Daughters Home Work Thank You

it has do to with cleaner emissions. the carbon footprint is much less with solar and electrical than with coal and oil. Also both are not as an efficient form of energy, as much of the energy from oil and coal are lost while trying to convert them into a useable form. another plus is that solar and electrical are easily renewable, while oil and coal are not. they take thousands of years and specific conditions to create them from organic material.
