About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to use the sun to power daily life: running your a/c unit, cleaning clothes, viewing TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are significant, lots of homeowners find that the benefit, unique functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.
Leading Advantages of Solar Energy
#1 Drastically minimize or even eliminate your electrical expenses
Whether you're a property owner, company, or nonprofit, electricity costs can make up a large portion of your monthly costs. With a solar panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will reduce your energy bills and you'll still save a lot of cash.
#2 Make an excellent return on your financial investment
Solar panels aren't an expenditure-- they are among the best methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical energy costs cost savings, the typical American property owner settles their solar panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Secure versus rising energy expenses
Among the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the previous 10 years, domestic electricity prices have actually gone up by an average of three percent annually. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and protect against unpredictable increases in electrical power expenses. If you're a business or house owner with rising and falling money flow, going solar also helps you much better forecast and handle your expenses.
#4 Increase your home value
Several research studies have actually discovered that homes geared up with solar energy systems have higher residential or commercial property values and sell faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more educated about solar, need for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Boost U.S. energy independence
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential part of attaining energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to generate electrical energy from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from price fluctuations in international energy markets.
#6 Develop jobs and assist your local economy
Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This growth is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable contributor to the United States economy.
#7 Safeguard the environment
Solar is a terrific way to minimize your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A typical domestic photovoltaic panel system will eliminate three to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.
#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability
Sustainability and business social obligation are very important parts of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, customers and communities are recognizing and rewarding companies that opt to run properly. Services are finding that "green" credentials are an effective driver of customer getting decisions, developing goodwill and enhancing company outcomes.
#9 Start Saving from Day 1
Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no loan down.
Lots of homeowners decide to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and takes care of installation, upkeep, monitoring and repair works. You just pay the solar provider for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy company.
Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Investment
The energy companies are notorious for their varying and unreliable electrical energy costs. There is clearly an upward trend.
With photovoltaic panels and easy math, we can calculate how much electrical energy will be created, and most significantly, at exactly what price, for at least the next 20 years (fixed energy costs).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month
- System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
- Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- We own the solar panel system
- $0 down for installation
- Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use
- Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
- System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
- Receive 30% federal tax credit
- See a return on investment within 7-10 years
What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?
We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.
What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Solar power usually refers to making electricity from the sun. Solar energy may refer to this and also sometimes using the heat energy from the sun. Thermal solar collectors may use solar energy to make solar power.
Solar energy is only beginning to be explored in our society. In other societies (ancient Greece for example) there were laws to prevent one person from blocking the sun from the land of another as the sun was important for heating. The sun's energy stored in chemical bonds has been very common in our society. Oil is king. This has marginalized direct solar energy use. The amount of Solar energy in our society depends upon what you are including. Direct Solar? Wind? Biomass? Hydro generation? Here is one site that adds it up to 13%: >http://evworld.com/news.cfm?newsid=21381...
2 the economics of solar is also subject to definitions. Real cost or cost including politically gained subsidies. Gasoline may cost $3.00 at the pump but estimates of its real cost are from $10 to more than $20. Nuclear power is also heavily subsidized. Solar is just getting into the game and is taking time to get its political markers in place. When it comes to efficiency solar is far more direct and has some distinct advantages. http://www.catalystmagazine.com/componen... http://evworld.com/article.cfm?storyid=1... http://www.ringnebula.com/project-censored/1976-1992/1988/1988-story11.htm http://environment.about.com/od/renewableenergy/a/solar_power.htm
3. Direct Solar energy and renewable solar energy is substantially more eco friendly than using fossil solar energy. Shading environments with solar collectors changes environments this may have effects to be considered. Some large scale solar power installations need water in environments where this is scarce. Wind generators may have an adverse effect on flying wildlife. And hydroelectric dam may add unusual pressure on the Earth's crust. http://solareis.anl.gov/guide/environment/index.cfm http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/27/us/27solar.html
Why Is Alternative Energy Is Considered Important?
Alternative Energy sources are energy sources that provide alternatives to the World's traditional energy sources - fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are coal, crude oil and natural gas. Alternative energy sources (solar, wind, geothermal retc) are important because:
(i) Unlike fossil fuels, they produce very little or no greenhouse gases emissions and other pollutants, as we obtain energy from them;
(ii) They are available in abundance and can be easily replenished. In other words, they are renewable, unable fossil fuels that can run out anytime and create energy crisis for the world
(iii) They guarantee home made energy and hence security rather than insecurity that comes with dependence on foreign oil. For more knowledge on Alternative/renewable energy sources, go to:

What Is Efficiency Of Coal Power Stations And Solar Energy?
Coal-fired power stations are not very efficient. Most of them don't reach more than 40% efficient. A few can reach 45%.
There is a theoretical limit to the percentage of energy that can be converted from heat to mechanical energy in any heat engine, which is the first part of what a coal-fired power station does. This limit depends on the difference in temperature between the heat source (burning coal) and the heat sink (the steam coming out the end of the turbine). The higher the difference in temperature, the more efficient. Most coal fired plants are well below the theoretical limit for their temperature delta, and typical efficiencies are in the 30-40% range. Coal quality also has an impact on efficiency. For example, coal with a high moisture content will be less efficient, because some of the heat energy in the coal will be used up converting the water in the coal into steam, rather than into heat. (State change from liquid to gas uses energy without producing heat, which is why when you boil water, the thermometer rises steadily to the boiling point, stays there for a while, and then once boiling starts, it keeps rising.)
There are two main types of solar electricity generation. Small-scale and most large-scale installations are photovoltaic systems, which capture the energy from the photons that make up light, in order to create an electron and its opposite, a 'hole', which then power a circuit. Again there is a theoretical limit to the efficiency of a photovoltaic cell, but most commercial solar photovoltaic panels fall well below this limit. Current efficiencies are in the low to high teens for the more affordable units. Much higher efficiencies are possible - as high as 40% or more - but these often cost as much as 100 times as much.
The second common type of solar electricity is produced by concentrating sunlight, using mirrors, onto a small target containing a liquid; that liquid becomes very hot due to the concentration of light and its conversion to heat, and that heat is then used to boil the liquid in order to drive a turbine. What you might notice here is that that turbine is basically, once again, a heat engine, and so subject to the same theoretical efficiency limits as a coal fired power plant.
The main difference, however, is that with coal we are looking at a non-renewable resource which costs money and causes environmental damage to extract, whereas with solar we are looking at a renewable resource that is basically free once the solar station is set up.

How Do We Keep On Conserving A Global Warming?
What Can We Do For More Advantage In Global Warming
You didn't specify whether you wanted to encourage or discourage global warming, so I'll give answers for both.
Encouraging global warming:
Encouraging global warming is easy; we just need to keep doing all the things that we are doing now. Burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and releasing chemicals into the environment all greatly contribute to global warming.
Discouraging global warming:
This would be considerable more difficult as it would mean huge changes in the way of life for most people in the more 'sophisticated' societies. We would have to not only stop deforestation, but plant billions of acres of trees. We would also need to get nearly all of our energy from sources like windmills and solar panels. It would take decades for our planet to recover from the damage we've done to it, and it would never completely recover.
