What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c, cleaning clothes, watching TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, lots of home owners find that the convenience, special features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are even more alluring.

Top Ten Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably decrease or even eliminate your electrical bills

Whether you're a homeowner, organization, or nonprofit, electrical power costs can comprise a large portion of your month-to-month expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will reduce your utility expenses and you'll still conserve a lot of money.

#2 Make an excellent return on your investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they are among the best methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electricity expense cost savings, the typical American house owner settles their photovoltaic panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure versus rising energy expenses

Among the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge energy rates. In the past ten years, domestic electrical power prices have actually gone up by approximately three percent each year. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical energy rate and safeguard versus unpredictable increases in electrical power expenses. If you're an organisation or house owner with changing capital, going solar also helps you much better forecast and handle your expenses.

#4 Boost your property value

Several studies have discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property worths and offer quicker than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, demand for properties geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential element of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electricity from the sun, we can likewise insulate our country from rate changes in international energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your regional economy

According to The Solar Foundation, the solar market included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This development is anticipated to continue. Since solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a fantastic way to minimize your carbon footprint. Buildings are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A normal domestic photovoltaic panel system will remove 3 to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social duty are essential components of a company's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Significantly, customers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding services that opt to operate properly. Companies are finding that "green" qualifications are a powerful motorist of consumer acquiring decisions, producing goodwill and enhancing company outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Many house owners opt to fund their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This indicates that a third-party business-- the solar service provider-- owns the planetary system and looks after setup, maintenance, monitoring and repairs. You just pay the solar provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy business are notorious for their changing and unreliable electrical energy prices. There is plainly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and basic math, we can compute just how much electricity will be produced, and most notably, at what price, for a minimum of the next 20 years (repaired energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is One Limitation Of Using Fossil Fuels And Solar Energy?

Fossil fuels like oil, coal and gas cannot be renewed. It is getting very expensive and running out.

Solar energy is not available at night and less visable on a cloudy day.

Why Are Wind And Solar Energy Not Used As Much In Our Society?
Today, Why Are Wind And Solar Energy Not A Very Common Renewable Source Of Energy?

because they haven't developed a system that can be made affordable for the average person to buy.
and because they cost too much it takes a very long time before the system pays for itself.and depending on where you live they aren't allowed or practical.where i am you can't put a wind turbine
up unless you have at least an acre of land and can put the tower away from any buildings.if you live in a complex or subdivision that has an HOA, they won't let you put these systems up.

Why Is The Us So Slow To Adopt Green Ways Of Living Compared To So Many Other Countries?
I Used To Live On A Tiny Island In The Mediterranean Sea Back In The 1980'S. Every Single House And Building With Equipped With Solar Panels For Heating And Electricity. Solar Panels Are Used Throughout Europe For Over 30 Years And Many Places In The Middle East As Well. Why Does The Government Put Road Blocks On Such A Simple Yet Efficient Technology? Why Does It Cost So Much For Such Cheap Parts/Labor To Install And Use In The Us And Not Widely Used? It Could Cut Utility Costs By Over 90%. Why Are Environmentalilsts So Quiet On This? Why Does A Country Of Over 300 Million People Not Want This? I Don't Get It!

It's our right to be ignorant Americans! We subsidize electric power generation through our taxes, so we try to get every bit of that money back, and more too.
Everyone is afraid of taking responsibility for anything in our government. If it was made more easy for home generated power to be created, someone in a power company would complain and cut funding to someones reelection campaign. It's not about whats good for the country, but whats good for your next few years in office.

The Solar Wind - A Stream Of Particles Blown Away From Sun During An Eruption – Can Travel At 600 Km/S.?
The Solar Wind - A Stream Of Particles Blown Away From Sun During An Eruption – Can Travel At 600 Km/S. A. How Much Time Do We Have To Prepare?

What is the amount of erosion caused by the solar winds, and how much is recovered in the form of meteorites?
"If you are asking about erosion of the Earth's surface, the solar wind doesn't really make it through the atmosphere or the Earth's magnetic field. Even on the Moon, which has no atmosphere or magnetic field, the solar wind doesn't knock atoms off the surface fast enough to escape the Moon's gravity, so there isn't any lunar erosion either. The Earth does lose some of the gas in its atmosphere just by random diffusion away from the Earth, but it is not as much as the approximately one ton per hour that the Earth gains from micrometeorites."

Dr. Eric Christian

The interaction of the solar wind on the Earth's magnetic field causes static electricity. How much voltage or current could this static electricity produce, and could we harness it for effective use?
"It is indeed a valid question whether it is worth to try to harness the electrical power induced by the solar wind into the Earth's magnetosphere. Because the solar wind is a plasma (a gas that consists of an equal number of positive and negative electric charges) and thus highly electrically conductive, its flow past the Earth's magnetic field generates an electric field, much like in a generator. The total voltage across the Earth's magnetosphere is approx. 100,000 V. This sounds rather high (actually about the same voltage as that used in long distance power lines), but this voltage is across approx. 20 Earth radii or a moderate electric field of about 1 V/m.

There are a few important considerations that make this power not very attractive for technical use. First and foremost, the density of the power is very low. Using a typical solar wind density of 5 particles/cm3 and a solar wind speed of 440 km/s, the power per m2 is merely 0.35 mW. The total power intercepted by the entire magnetic field of the Earth is 4.5 Terawatts, of which only 2% or 90 Gigawatts are absorbed by the Earth's magnetosphere. In comparison, the total energy consumption of humans on Earth right now is 10 - 12 Terawatts. In order to harness the power delivered by a typical large power plant (about 1 GW) from the electrical energy transferred into the Earth's magnetic field we would have to build a structure that has the size of the entire Earth - rather impractical and probably not cost-effective.

A much better alternative is provided by the Sun's light, which delivers about 1400 W/m2, i.e. a 4,000,000 times higher power density. The total solar power intercepted by the Earth is more than 10,000 times as much as we currently consume. With solar cells that have an efficiency of 10%, just covering less than 1% of the Earth's surface with solar cells would be sufficient to produce the power needed, even considering day and night and occasional cloud cover. Of course, there are still lots of challenges, but certainly far fewer than trying to harness the solar wind."

Dr. Eberhard Moebius

Voyager 2 encountered exteremely high temperatures passing through the termination shock zone. How is that possible in deep space, where temperatures should be approaching 0 Kelvin?
Upstream of the termination shock, the solar wind temperature is about the order of 104 K. Downstream of the termination shock, the solar wind termperature is about the order of 105 K, because it is heated up during the termination shock crossing. So either way the temperature shouldn't be zero at the termination shock zone.

I guess when you say "deep space" you mean the space completely outside our heliosphere? The termination shock is only the inner boundary of the heliosphere. Outside of the termination shock there is the heliopause and possibly a bow shock. The interstellar wind outside the bow shock will have a cold temperature of 10-100 K. However, it will take Voyager 2 a long time to pass the boundaries and encounter those low temperatures.

Explain Why Energy Sources Such As Wind Power,Geothermal,Tidal And Solar Power Contribute To Our Energy Needs?
Explain Why Energy Sources Such As Wind Power,Geothermal,Tidal And Solar Power Contribute Only A Small Amount To Our Energy Needs

Your answer is as follows:

Wind power is gaining popularity and market share, but it requires the wind to blow within a predictable speed range.

Geothermal is currently expensive to produce. Some parts of the world are involved in "Hot Rocks" technology, but it requires deep bore holes to be drilled, and that type of drilling is expensive.

Harnessing tidal energy is still (largely) in the development stage.

Solar power is viewed as only supplemental power due to the fact that (as it is currently done) it cannot generate power twenty-four hours a day.

None of these technologies produce much (if any) greenhouse gas emissions.
