What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your a/c, washing clothes, enjoying TV, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are substantial, numerous residents discover that the benefit, unique functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more alluring.

Top Ten Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically lower or perhaps remove your electric expenses

Whether you're a property owner, service, or nonprofit, electricity expenses can make up a large portion of your monthly costs. With a solar panel system, you'll create free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your utility costs and you'll still conserve a great deal of loan.

#2 Make an excellent return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expense-- they are among the finest ways to invest, with returns matching those of more standard investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electricity bill cost savings, the typical American property owner pays off their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect against increasing energy expenses

Among the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the capability to hedge energy rates. In the past 10 years, domestic electrical energy costs have actually increased by approximately three percent annually. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electricity rate and protect versus unpredictable increases in electricity costs. If you're an organisation or property owner with fluctuating money circulation, going solar also helps you much better forecast and handle your expenditures.

#4 Boost your home or business value

Multiple studies have found that houses geared up with solar energy systems have higher home values and sell faster than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar installations into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more informed about solar, need for homes equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of accomplishing energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our country from rate variations in international energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your regional economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar industry included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Since solar-related jobs tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is an excellent method to lower your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A common residential solar panel system will eliminate three to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are essential elements of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, consumers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that pick to run responsibly. Companies are finding that "green" credentials are a powerful motorist of consumer getting decisions, developing goodwill and enhancing service results.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Lots of property owners opt to fund their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This means that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the planetary system and looks after installation, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar company for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy companies are well-known for their fluctuating and undependable electrical energy rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and simple math, we can compute how much electrical energy will be generated, and most notably, at exactly what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy expenses).

Financing

What are the various payment options?

We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.

The Lease

We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.

What is the warranty?

The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is The Long Term Impact Of Solar Technology?
Share Your Opinions On Solar Technology. What Is Wrong With It? How Can It Be More Effective? Where Will It Go?

Solar, and I'm speaking of electricity producing, use will rise with the cost of energy. It has not been used much to date because it is not cost effective in most areas. Even hot water solar has not been cost effective.

It is not cost effective because the life of the panels, and batteries, if used is limited. Payback may be longer than the life of the equipment. It is also not cheap. The average consumer probably can't afford any kind of system that would make a significant difference.

If it were cost effective, it would be selling as fast as it could be made. For example, Phoenix is one of the best areas for it because of so many days of sunshine (as you move east, it is far more inefficient). You see very little in use. Thepeople there are not stupid. If it saved and was cost effective almost everyone would have it. Back in the 80's the government had a big program that subsidized solar. There were at least 100 companies in phoenix selling it. They were on roofs everywhere. The subsidies went away and now you can hardly find one.
Don't listen to radical environmentalists and Hollywood. Study, talk to engineers. They should deal in facts.

Can Solar Energy Be Stored And If So How Long?
I Wanted To Know If Solar Energy Can Be Stored For Electricty Purposes For Example Houses And Charging Other Electronic Devices.

batteries are only bad for the envirinment if they are not recycled, and actually batteries are close to 100% recycled, they are a very good storage medium.

others include flywheels. a big heavy flywheel spinning at 80000 rpm will spin for years with almost no resistance, it's another good energy storage device that can store energy from almost any scource.

You can use solar energy to lift heavy weights high into the air, and as they fall use them to regenerate electricity, or spin a shaft.

You can use solar energy to seperate hydrogen from water by electralisis, and then use that as a fuel source in a fuel cell.

solar energy is not the only energy that can be stored in those ways, there is also wind, rivers, ocean waves and geothurmal (heat from the earth). all of which are clean and everpresent (the wind doesn't blow all the time, but it always blows at least 40% of the time).

When Will Solar Harvested Energy Become Highly Available And More Pragmatic?
Can'T Astronauts Build Giant Solar Panels That Orbit The Sun, And Then Using This Massive Amount Of Energy Find A Way To Replace Nonrenewable Resources?

LOLOLOLOL. Solar energy will be more available once people are willing to spend lots of money up front to buy and install solar panels. As to the solar panels orbiting the sun, yes we could build them and put them in space, but there is no reliable way to get that energy back to earth. Just because you can harvest the energy doesn't mean you can get it somewhere useful. As for the nonrenewable resources, the ones that most people worry about replacing are the types that are the hardest to convert (cars and large powerplants). Also it would cost about 5 times what NASA is currently getting for funding.

Is Solar Energy Practical For Everyday Use?
Why Is Solar Power, In Houses For Example, Is Expensive And The Solar Power In Watch And Calculator Isn'T? So Is It Practical For Everyday Use?

>So is it practical for everyday use<

It depends a lot on your location and the Federal, State, Local, and utility incentives applicable to your area. They are different all over so there is no way anyone can make a blanket statement on solar's practicality.

To illustrate what I mean, here is a price list for solar in my local area.
http://www.americanpv.com/pdf/res_on/pri...

A 6.45 kW system lists for $35,800.

For that size system, the feds give you a $10,740 tax credit.
The state I live in provides a $1,000 tax credit.

That still leaves over $24,000 to pay.

HOWEVER, my local utility pays $3 per watt or $18,150, thus leaving me to pay only $6410, which makes my payback period 4 years (or less), thus making an investment like this very affordable.

However, the key here is the local utility (APS) rebate. $3 per watt is considerably higher than other utilities. if that rebate were, for example, 1/2 of what it currently is, my price would go up from $6000 to more than $12,000, thus making the payback period long enough (over 10 years) that it would no longer be as practical to do.

So is it practical? For some people it is while for other people in other locations, it is not.

What Does Solar Energy Turn Into?

Beyond electrical power, solar energy gets turned into food through plants, weather (rain and such) via bodies of water, light, and heat.

There are additional combinations possible,
such as oil (the earth compresses the remains of animals that fed on plants eons ago), or
peat/coal (the earth compresses the remains of plants that dies eons ago), or
ice ages (solar heat "softens" glacial ice enough to make it move south, which not only moves the cold ice down, but also cools the air enough to make the air give up its water and add to the existing ice).

Hope that helps.
