What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your ac system, cleaning clothing, enjoying TV, cooking supper. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are substantial, numerous property owners find that the convenience, unique functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.

Leading Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly lower and even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, company, or not-for-profit, electrical power costs can make up a big part of your regular monthly expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll produce totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will lower your utility expenses and you'll still conserve a lot of money.

#2 Make an excellent return on your investment

Solar panels aren't an expenditure-- they are among the very best ways to invest, with returns equaling those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electricity costs savings, the average American property owner settles their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against increasing energy costs

One of the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge utility prices. In the past ten years, property electrical energy prices have increased by an average of three percent each year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and protect against unpredictable increases in electrical energy costs. If you're an organisation or house owner with rising and falling capital, going solar likewise assists you much better projection and handle your expenditures.

#4 Increase your home worth

Numerous research studies have discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have greater property worths and sell more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, need for homes equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key part of attaining energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to generate electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from price fluctuations in international energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy

According to The Solar Foundation, the solar industry added tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This growth is expected to continue. Since solar-related jobs tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial factor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a great way to lower your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A normal residential solar panel system will eliminate three to four tons of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are very important parts of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Significantly, consumers and communities are recognizing and rewarding businesses that opt to run properly. Organisations are finding that "green" qualifications are a powerful driver of consumer acquiring choices, creating goodwill and improving service outcomes.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.

Lots of homeowners choose to fund their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding choices. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar company-- owns the solar system and takes care of installation, maintenance, tracking and repair works. You just pay the solar supplier for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy business are well-known for their fluctuating and undependable electrical power rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and simple math, we can calculate what does it cost? electrical energy will be created, and most notably, at what rate, for a minimum of the next Twenty Years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Know Where I Can Find A Solar Panel With Outlet Or Power Strip?
I Want To Find A Solar Panel That I Can Carry With Me That Has An Outlet Or Power Strip To It, So I Can Plug In My Slow Cooker On Camping Trips For Potlucks &Amp; The Like. It'D Be Awesome If It Also Had A Cord To Power My Phone/Ipod, But I'M Okay With Buy A Separate Solar Charger For That. Any Help Would Be Great. Thanks.

There isn't one.

Solar panels don't deliver 120 volts AC --
they produce something compatible with 12 volt DC systems and batteries.

Also, you'd need a rather large set of panels to operate a slow cooker via an inverter,
which is a power-wasting intermediary to say the least.

A much better option is a "solar oven" or "solar cooker".
Look those up.

The phone is easier to deal with: all it needs is an ordinary (45 watt or so)
solar panel and a car charger connected to a lighter socket,
although I'd probably connect a 7 Ah gel cell across the panel while I was at it.

Charge A Backup Battery With A Portable Solar Panel.?
I Would Like To Know The Most Efficient Way To Charge A Proporta Usb Turbocharger 5000 With A Goal0 Nomad 7 Solar Panel. Would The 12V Or The Usb The Best Charging Solution? Do I Need To Rig Up Some Sort Of Circuitry To Charge It? Maybe Two Of These Http://Cgi.Ebay.It/700Ma-Solar-Placa-Panel-Modulo-Cargador-5V-Usb-Bateria-/220737049789?Pt=Lh_Defaultdomain_186&Hash=Item3364f414bd In Parallel Would Be A Better Solution? Thanks In Advance.

Yes it would work by using a voltage regulator to keep the voltage stable.. Without it the panel voltage will not be controlled when the voltage goes up and down during sunny days, and it could damage your battery. 12v panels can range from 15-20v depending on the panel you have. This is what I did to control the voltage output to my phones and DSL box. My phones require 6v, and my DSL box require 12v. The output should match the input voltage to your device. Here's what they look like, and how to hook them up. You may have to double them if your pack draws more power, they put out about an amp of power, and should be mounted on some metal to dissipate the heat. A 10w 50 ohm ceramic resistor will help as well splicing it in from your panel + to your regulator input +.

I Need To Know How Much Does It Cost To Maintain And Buy Solar Panels?
I Know How Much It Cost To Buy But I Need To Know How Much It Cost To Fix A Solar Panel If: The Glass Falls Off, It Gets Hit By A Massive Dust Storm Then It Rains And The Mud Dries, If There Is A Power Surge And It Gets Itself Fried. I Need This For A Report And If I Dont Get This Info Withen Two Days Im Screwed And Im Doing As Much Research As I Can

For a grid-tied (no battery) system, the most common kind of residential system, there is very little to go wrong with the panels themselves. The likely outcome is that the panels will continue to work for 25 years without any additional care. The standard warranty is 25 years, so if one goes bad, the manufacturer will replace it. That doesn't cover accidents like lightning strikes, but the panels are tough against everyday insults like rain, heat, and hail. Also, where I live, there is a requirement that solar electric systems be installed with a 10-year warranty on everything.

The most likely component in the system to fail is the inverter, a repair or replacement cost of perhaps $2000 after 15 years.

Some homeowners wash their panels for optimum performance, but I'm not sure if it makes a whole lot of difference, as nature washes them with dew and rain. I don't know how much it would cost if you had to pay someone to hose off the panels instead of doing it yourself.

How Do I Repair A Soler Panel On My Own?
How Do I Repair One On My Own Getting Someone Else'S Fix Is Not Possible?

Here's what we've learned so far about repairing broken panels:
The are many possible ways to damage a solar panel. The most common seems to be broken glass, from rocks, bullets, a fall (loose bolts on the mount!) or large hail. If you are able to remove all the broken glass, it might be possible to replace it with a new piece -- but the hard part will keeping water from condensing inside and fogging the new glass. It's also possible the panel will still work even with the broken glass in place, though with reduced output from the 'shade' from the broken glass edges. So don't just just throw the broken panel away -- at least check it for output first!
Another common problem is loose solder connections--some connections are intermittent and cut in and out as the panels heat and cool. You may notice cells cutting in and out if you sharply rap the panels with your hand. It may be necessary to cut through the soft silicone in which the cells are embedded to access the backs of the cells for repair. Windy Dankoff's report, reprinted below, shows how to diagnose which cells have bad connections that must be resoldered.

Individual solar cells are somewhat difficult to solder to. Self-adhesive metal stained-glass tape makes for the easiest soldering job--the tape holds itself in place while you solder. Use electronics solder that contains 2% silver. One side of the cell is (+), the other (-). Cells are connected in various combinations of series and parallel, depending on the intended use--our broken panels are made to be connected with 3 or 4 panels in series to charge 12 volt batteries.
I just wanted you to know that I had read your article dealing with solar cell repair using electrically conductive epoxy. You had one contributor who claimed it would not work. I can categorically assure you that it DOES work. I used a silver impregnated epoxy made by Chemtronics. It is called CircuitWorks Conductive Epoxy and I used it to attach the positive wire to the metallic film of my photo panel and it's electrical conductivity is equal to a normal solder joint, but it works where solder would not. It's strong and waterproof.
