What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c, cleaning clothes, enjoying TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are considerable, lots of home owners discover that the benefit, special features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more alluring.

Leading Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly reduce or even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a property owner, company, or nonprofit, electricity expenses can comprise a big portion of your regular monthly expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will lower your utility costs and you'll still conserve a great deal of cash.

#2 Make a great return on your investment

Solar panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns equaling those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical power expense savings, the typical American homeowner pays off their solar panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard against rising energy costs

Among the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility prices. In the previous 10 years, residential electricity costs have increased by approximately three percent annually. By buying a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical power rate and protect against unforeseeable increases in electrical energy expenses. If you're a service or property owner with ever-changing capital, going solar also helps you better projection and handle your expenses.

#4 Boost your house value

Numerous research studies have discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property values and offer faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more informed about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of accomplishing energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from price fluctuations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This development is expected to continue. Since solar-related jobs tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a substantial contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a great way to lower your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A common property solar panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social obligation are crucial elements of an organization's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, consumers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding businesses that opt to run properly. Organisations are discovering that "green" qualifications are a powerful driver of customer buying decisions, producing goodwill and enhancing company outcomes.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no cash down.

Lots of homeowners opt to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This implies that a third-party business-- the solar supplier-- owns the solar system and takes care of setup, upkeep, tracking and repairs. You simply pay the solar provider for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy companies are well-known for their fluctuating and undependable electrical power costs. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and basic math, we can calculate what does it cost? electricity will be generated, and most notably, at what cost, for at least the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

What Specification Of Solar Panel Do I Need?
What Specification Of Solar Panel Would I Need To Power A Laptop Every Day? I Would Need To Use It For About 10 Hours Or So Every Day. I Don'T Know Anything About Solar Panels, But I Am Seriously Thinking Of Getting One Now And Don'T Know Who To Ask.

You will need, A battery to store the electricity from the solar panel. The amount of electricity from the panel varies up and down as things such as clouds, position of the sun, etc. reduce the amount of solar rays hitting the panel. The battery stores it all, the ups and downs, and sends it back out at a steady voltage so you can operate your p.c. / appliance.

A minimum of 45 watts solar panel. 60 watts would be preferable. 45 watts will charge a battery in one day under ideal conditions. You turn the panel as the sun moves across the sky, no clouds. 60 watts will charge a battery in one day with out moving and regardless of clouds.

A controler to prevent the electricity from flowing backwards from the battery to the solar panel when the sun goes behind a cloud or sets at night and the charge drops below the voltage of the battery. A good controller will tell you the charge condition of your battery so you know when it is too low to operate your p.c. safely.

And finally an inverter with "True Sine Wave" capability to change the electricity from the battery into usuable power for your PC and other electronics.

Not all inverters produce true sine wave electricity. The electricity has static in it and will make your pc screen jump around and not function as it should. New digital T.V.'s also require true sine wave electricity to operate. Go the extra cost and get the inverter with true sine wave and be happy with the way your p.c. functions.

Figure out how many Watts your p.c. or appliance will draw. and match the Inverter to the need. Do not go too big, as they cost more and consume more of your stored electricity to operate. Save as much electricity as you can. You will be able to operate your p.c. appliance longer.

When not using your p.c., you can operate your T.V. or other low watt appliance.

Where Can I Find Info On Starting A Solar Panel/Energy Company?
I Have An Existing Business And Would Like To Start A Company Installing/Manufacturing Solar Panels. Creating Solar Energy Interests Me Also.

My husband has been an installer of Solar pool heating and Solar Hot Water heaters, and other things with solar for about 5 years now, we are also looking to open our own solar company, the requirements here in florida are that you have been in the solar field for 4 years and 1 year as a supervisor, then you have to buy all the books (12 in total) and stufy them and take an Exam to actually be able to get your license, so if you want to open the business doing solar you have to know solar but while i was looking into it i noticed it said "You can also substitute up to three years of college credit hours for experience." and the college credits do not need to be construction related, i guess the best thing to do is type in yahoo "Solar license & the state you live in because each state has their own requirements! one thing is the company my husband works for, they pay about $1,800 for material and sell the systems for about $9,000, so theres money to be made!! good luck and let me know how it goes!

What Type Off Solar Panel Is Best (Flat Or Tube)?
I Am Building A New House And I Want To Know What Type Off Panel Is Best And How Much It Should Be I Live In N Ireland

If it's never going to freeze, go flat. That's the standard solar hot water in Hawaii.

If it has a miniscule chance of freezing, you could still get a flat panel, but would need to have a pressure relief valve on it, and maybe have the kind of system you can completely drain.

The evacuated tube type of collector costs more, but has the advantage that you can put whatever liquid you like in the tube, to transfer the heat to a tank below. Antifreeze is often used, like in the radiator of your car.

Where Can I Fing A Comperisson Between Manufactures Of Solar Pv Panels World Wide?
I Need A Good And Reliable Comparison Between Manufacturers Of Photovoltaic Solar Panel Manufactures. German, Us, Japan, China... For A New Project I Make. Thanks, Ofir

Hey Ofir, you need to subscribe to Home Power Magazine. It's the only periodical that gets into the nuts and bolts of what you are asking about. About 3 or 4 issues ago they did a comparison of all known commercially available solar panels on the market today. The list compares about 20 items, such as power output, warranty period, size, weight, degradation due to temperature and lifetime, and so on. Each issue they take something related to renewable energy, like inverters, wind turbines, charge controllers, and so on, and compare all the models available.

We started subscribing about 12 years ago, and it's where I still get lots of my information today. Our home is now powered entirely by the wind and sun, so in our case it's been good research over the years. I don't know anyplace else to get the in depth information you are asking for, but I will list some other non profit sources below you can look for on the net, but you'd be better off to just go to Home Power and pay the annual fee, it isn't expensive, then you can research back issues at their website and read any articles in the past, including the one on solar panels. Good luck, and take care...Rudydoo

What Items Use Solar Panels?
How Do They Use Them Too? Best Answer Will Be Chosen!

Technically any item can use solar energy. To understand why you must understand how solar energy works.

A solar panel can use different materials (Poly-crystalline, mono-crystaline, etc.) This material along with the polarity between the front and back side of the solar cell turns sunlight into an electrical current. After connecting enough of these cells to get the amount of power you need there are multiple ways to harness this energy.

Solar panels produce DC (direct current) electricity, this is the type that is stored by batteries such as phones, ipod's, and even car batteries. However, your house runs on AC (alternating Current) electricity. The method I use for home installation is to run the current from the Solar Panel into a charge controller, the charge controller keeps you from overcharging your battery and destroying it. Then from the charge controller the current is then put into a battery backup bank. This battery backup bank will store the energy until the sunlight is no longer producing the power that the house is calling for. From the battery you must then use a inverter. The inverter changes the "DC" power to "AC" power making it usable for the home.

There are different ways to run the power into your home or back into the grid system and even get paid for the energy you make.

Hope this was helpful!!!
