What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for home owners to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioner, washing clothes, watching TV, cooking dinner. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the ecological benefits of solar power are substantial, many home owners find that the convenience, unique functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are even more attractive.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably lower or even remove your electrical bills

Whether you're a house owner, company, or nonprofit, electricity expenses can make up a big part of your regular monthly costs. With a solar panel system, you'll create free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will reduce your utility bills and you'll still conserve a lot of loan.

#2 Make a great return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they are among the best ways to invest, with returns matching those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical power bill savings, the typical American house owner pays off their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect against increasing energy expenses

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the ability to hedge energy prices. In the previous 10 years, residential electricity rates have increased by approximately three percent annually. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical energy rate and protect against unforeseeable increases in electricity costs. If you're a company or homeowner with ever-changing money flow, going solar likewise helps you much better forecast and manage your costs.

#4 Boost your home or business value

Numerous studies have discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have greater home values and offer more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, demand for homes geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key part of attaining energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to generate electrical power from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from rate changes in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and help your local economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar industry added jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This growth is expected to continue. Because solar-related tasks tend to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial factor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a fantastic way to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A normal residential photovoltaic panel system will get rid of 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are very important components of a company's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding companies that opt to run responsibly. Organisations are discovering that "green" credentials are a powerful motorist of customer purchasing choices, creating goodwill and improving organisation results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Numerous house owners opt to fund their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This implies that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repair works. You just pay the solar provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy business.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy business are infamous for their changing and undependable electrical power prices. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and simple mathematics, we can compute how much electrical power will be generated, and most significantly, at what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

An Electric Motor Is Designed To Turn Electrical Energy Into What Please Answer If You Know It!?!?
A. Solar Energy B. Potential Energy C. Static Electricity D. Mechanical Energy

Mechanical energy in the form of rotation & torque.

Renewable Vs. Nonrenewable?
Wind - - Renewable Hydro - - ?? Solar - - Renewable.. I Think Nuclear - - Nonrenewable..Right? Then I Also Have A Question On My Test Tomarrow That Asks What Energy Conversions Would Be With Pushing A Chair Across The Room. Can You Help?

When limited to the earth, wind, hydro, and solar are renewable. Energy that is ultimately derived from the sun, which includes wind, hydro, and solar, is considered to be renewable, since energy from these sources are replenished by the sun. Nuclear derives energy from nuclear materials mined from the earth, so there is a limited amount of these materials that we can mine from the earth, so the are nonrenewable.

Conversion of energy from pushing a chair across the room would include conversion of biochemical energy from food that we digested to mechanical energy through the muscles to the chair, which would receive kinetic energy to be accelerated and to attain a velocity. Then there is friction between the legs of the chair and floor which would convert the kinetic energy into heat.

How Long Would It Take For A 3-Watt Solar Panel To Charge A 7-Amp (Sla-Gel) Battery?
I Have Been Using Solar To Charge My Small Electronic Devices (Cell Phones, Mp3 Players, Ect) For A While Now, But I Recently Upgraded To A Setup With More Power. I'M Now Using A Small 12-Volt/3-Watt Solar Panel And A 12-Volt/7-Amp Sealed Lead Acid Gel (Sla) Battery. My Question, How Long Would It Take For A 3-Watt Solar Panel To Charge A 7-Amp Battery? Basically Is It Safe To Leave The Charger In The Sun During The Day; So I Can Then Charge My Small Electronics Off Of It At Night? Is There A Possibility That Several Hours Of Day-Light Could Overcharge This Type Of Battery?

A 7 amp battery is pretty big. I have a 12V 4.5 amp battery and it takes a week to charge with my 12V 0.144 amp solar panel, when placed in direct sunlight.

In the equasion A= W/V, 3 watts / 12v is 0.25 amps. Thus for 7 amps, you will need about 28 hours (7 / 0.25) of sunlight to charge the battery. That's assuming I used all the correct calculation. As long as the voltages are right there should be no problem with burnout. If you're using an inverter, that will take some energy to maintain so I'd add a couple hours just to be on the safe side.

That 28 hours is assuming you don't use the battery at all and it goes from empty to full in that time. Using it will obviously require more time, which you can calculate by checking the wattage usage of your devices. Cell phones are usually about 5 watts, mp3s, 1 to 5 for small and more for higher capacity or video models).

How Much Money Would It Cost To Put Solar Panels At My School Versus The Cost Of Wind Power At My School?
You See, I Have To Do A Report On How To Make My School More Eco-Friendly. I Decided That They Waste The Most Electricity So I Am Now Trying To Decide, Which Idea (Solar Panels Or Wind Power) Will Cost Less And Save More For My School. I Also Want To Switch The Paper Towels Into Hand Dryers To Cut Waste Of Paper. Back To The Solar Panel/Windpower. I Am Looking For A Few Things: 1) Which Will Cost Less Money? 2) Which Will Be More Effective? 3) Which Will Be More Green? 4) Is It Pratical? 5) Pros And Cons Of Each One Anyway I Need This Info Fast! I Will Give The 10 Points To The Person Who Gives Me The Best Info And The Most Info The Fastest. Thank You!

YOu can't give a full answer ot the question without a whole lot more facts. The location of the building will tell you how effective solar panels will be. If it is in the far north, it will not be effective at all because for half the year, the sun is insufficient to power them. Wind power works only where there is consistent wind to run the turbines by turning the fans.

Solar energy has become less expensive because it is now mass produced and is built to be installed in a single facility. Most wind power is gathered in large collectives and the power is distributed through the power company. They are monstrously expensive to build because many of them are in locations that are difficult to get to like out in the ocean or on top of mountains though there are locations on flat land as well in windy areas.

You have to be where the sun shines more than not and where the wind blows more than not or you have to supplement it with purchased power.

Does Anyone Have Info About Solar Water Distillers?
Is There A Way To Purify Water Using The Sun'S Energy? An Affordable Method Everyone Could Have?

Water has the highest specific heat of any liquid below the molecular weight of 100 - it really takes a lot of energy to boil water!!! Using solar energy to boil water is certainly possible, but are you really interested in creating drinking water, or distilling water?

Someone in India needed an affordable way to make lots of drinking water inexpensively (I saw this on TV). What they came up with was a "germicidal" UV lamp and a shallow aluminum tray for the water to pass under the lamp, thereby "purifying" the water to drinking water quality by killing all the bacteria.

The germicidal lamp fits in an ordinary fluorescent fixture, and is very efficient on power. His task was to design the parts that would certify that all the bacteria was killed. The design will treat LARGE volumes of water economically; something a distiller won't do.

One more important point to consider: a true steam distillation process is intended to remove the minerals from the water as well as everything else. You need to think this through very carefully and research what happens when people drink (only) distilled water.

Because of difference between salinity in people's body and the distilled water, the distilled water will strip the electrolytes (minerals) from your body. This is not a good thing! If you distill the water, you'll have to add some minerals back before it would be drinking water quality.

This is why the bottled water at the store offers both drinking water (water with small amounts of minerals) and steam distilled water (for your steam iron, where you don't want any minerals)

One other person in Yahoo! Answers wanted to purify water using UV LED technology - UV LEDs operate at even lower power that UV germicidal bulbs, and could be driven by solar cell/battery combinations. UV LEDs are just now becoming available, and will soon be affordable.

This is assuming that the water you have is drinkable but just needs to be affordably cleaned of bacteria.

Water that is brackish or saline would need to be steam distilled, but that is expensive due to the energy required. There are other water treatments available (osmosis, filtering, dissolved mineral removal such as iron, hard water treatment, etc), but these cost money.
