What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power everyday life: running your ac system, washing clothes, seeing TV, cooking supper. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are significant, numerous home owners discover that the benefit, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more alluring.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably reduce or even remove your electrical bills

Whether you're a house owner, company, or nonprofit, electrical energy costs can make up a large portion of your monthly expenses. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your energy bills and you'll still conserve a great deal of cash.

#2 Earn a fantastic return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns equaling those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical power costs savings, the typical American house owner pays off their solar panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard against rising energy expenses

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the previous ten years, property electrical energy prices have increased by approximately 3 percent yearly. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and secure against unpredictable boosts in electricity costs. If you're a service or property owner with ever-changing cash circulation, going solar also helps you better projection and manage your expenditures.

#4 Boost your home or business worth

Numerous studies have actually discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have greater property worths and sell more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more informed about solar, demand for homes equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential part of achieving energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electrical power from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from price changes in international energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and help your local economy

According to The Solar Foundation, the solar industry included jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Because solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a substantial factor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is an excellent way to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A typical domestic solar panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are very important components of an organization's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Increasingly, consumers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding services that decide to run properly. Services are finding that "green" qualifications are a powerful chauffeur of consumer acquiring decisions, creating goodwill and enhancing business results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Lots of house owners opt to finance their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This suggests that a third-party business-- the solar company-- owns the planetary system and takes care of setup, maintenance, monitoring and repair works. You just pay the solar company for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility business are notorious for their changing and undependable electrical energy rates. There is plainly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and easy mathematics, we can calculate what does it cost? electricity will be created, and most significantly, at exactly what rate, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Is Germany Saying That Green Energy Is Just &Quot; One Big Massive Moneypit&Quot;?
Germany Once Prided Itself On Being The “Photovoltaic World Champion”, Doling Out Generous Subsidies—Totaling More Than $130 Billion, According To Research From Germany’S Ruhr University—To Citizens To Invest In Solar Energy. But Now The German Government Is Vowing To Cut The Subsidies Sooner Than Planned And To Phase Out Support Over The Next Five Years. What Went Wrong? Subsidizing Green Technology Is Affordable Only If It Is Done In Tiny, Tokenistic Amounts. Using The Government’S Generous Subsidies, Germans Installed 7.5 Gigawatts Of Photovoltaic Capacity Last Year, More Than Double What The Government Had Deemed “Acceptable.” It Is Estimated That This Increase Alone Will Lead To A $260 Hike In The Average Consumer’S Annual Power Bill. According To Der Spiegel, Even Members Of Chancellor Angela Merkel’S Staff Are Now Describing The Policy As A Massive Money Pit. Philipp Rösler, Germany’S Minister Of Economics And Technology, Has Called The Spiraling Solar Subsidies A “Threat To The Economy.” Advertisement Germany’S Enthusiasm For Solar Power Is Understandable. We Could Satisfy All Of The World’S Energy Needs For An Entire Year If We Could Capture Just One Hour Of The Sun’S Energy. Even With The Inefficiency Of Current Pv Technology, We Could Meet The Entire Globe’S Energy Demand With Solar Panels By Covering 250,000 Square Kilometers (155,342 Square Miles), About 2.6 Percent Of The Sahara Desert. Unfortunately, Germany—Like Most Of The World—Is Not As Sunny As The Sahara. And, While Sunlight Is Free, Panels And Installation Are Not. Solar Power Is At Least Four Times More Costly Than Energy Produced By Fossil Fuels. It Also Has The Distinct Disadvantage Of Not Working At Night, When Much Electricity Is Consumed. In The Words Of The German Association Of Physicists, “Solar Energy Cannot Replace Any Additional Power Plants.” On Short, Overcast Winter Days, Germany’S 1.1 Million Solar-Power Systems Can Generate No Electricity At All. The Country Is Then Forced To Import Considerable Amounts Of Electricity From Nuclear Power Plants In France And The Czech Republic. Indeed, Despite The Massive Investment, Solar Power Accounts For Only About 0.3 Percent Of Germany’S Total Energy. This Is One Of The Key Reasons Why Germans Now Pay The Second-Highest Price For Electricity In The Developed World (Exceeded Only By Denmark, Which Aims To Be The “World Wind-Energy Champion”). Germans Pay Three Times More Than Their American Counterparts. Http://Www.Slate.Com/Articles/News_And_Politics/Project_Syndicate/2012/02/Why_Germany_Is_Phasing_Out_Its_Solar_Power_Subsidies_.Html

What Are The Best Solar Powered Led Lights For A 6 X 8 Greenhouse?
As The Question Asks, Does Anyone Have A Good Idea As To What Solar Powered Led Lights Could Work For A 6 X 8 Greenhouse To Act As A Grow Light, Without Breaking My Bank Account In The Process? I Have Been Looking At Some Of The Many Solar Pathway Lights As An Idea For A Grow Light, Because I'D Think Any Led Light Would Help Grow My Vegetables. I'Ve Also Looked At Actual Led Plant &Quot;Grow&Quot; Lights That Illuminate With Color, But I'M Not Sure Which One Is Best, Nor Do I Want To Spend Over $200... Preferably, Having A 6 X 8 Greenhouse, I'M Hoping To Stay Under $100, But We'Ll See What My Offerings Are. I'Ve Looked At Led Rope Lights As Well. My Plants Are In Basically Direct Sunlight, For Part Of The Day At Least. Being In A Tight Suburban Environment With Lots Of Tall Structures It Limits It, So These Lights Are Just To Make Up For Any Loss Of Light, And To Be Able To Be Operated At Night As Well. If Solar Self-Powered Lights Are Just Not Too Powerful, What Would You Recommend For Basic Led Lights And A Decent, Basic, Solar Panel To Go Along With Them? Preferably, Self-Powered Lights Would Be Ideal, But I'M Grateful For Any Advice. Links To Some Actual Products Would Help, Or At Least Specific Names, As There Are So Many Varied Designs And Prices Out There. Thanks, Jesse

There are some lights here . However, for your budget, I think you'll only be able to get enough light for a few pots, not the entire greenhouse.

I'd suggest not trying to solar-power everything. Just wire grid electricity over to the greenhouse.

Is It Possible To Put Solar Panel On The Moon And Transfer Energy To Earth By Microwave? (=Space Based Power)?
In The Book &Quot; The Next 100 Years&Quot; By George Friedman, He Claims That By 2080 All Energy Problem Would Be Solved By The Space Based Power Generation. But I Thought That Even If You Can Transfer Energy In Air By Electromagnetic Beam, Originally Shown By Nicola Tesla, Evergy Losses Very Quickly With Square Of Distance. Or Am I Missing Something? Is It Really Possible? G Friedman Is A Rand Corp Analysist, So I Think He Is Serious.

First of all, this square of distance law is valid for omnidirectional radiation, like a light bulb or a star. Not for focused light like a laser beam.

Second: A solar panel on the moon would be bad, because you would have 2 weeks power, 2 weeks no power, because of its rotation. (The moon rotates once in about 4 weeks, as it travels around the earth.)

But it would make sense somewhere in space, where there is no shadow. It is possible and I remember having read about such plans.

I Have A Solar Heated Hot Water Heater, Is The Red Pump On The Front Supposed To Be Very Hot?
This Question For Anyone Who Has A Solar Heated Hot Water Heater (Especially Someone Who Works On Them). So Far We Have Noticed That The Water Is Very Very Inconcistant. Blazing Hot (160) One Day And Today For Example Was Just Luke Warm ~105 For Our Morning Shower. It Has An Electric Backup. We Ran The Dishwasher Last Night But That'S It! I Noticed The Red Pump On The Front (The One That Sends The Water To The Pannels I Presume) Is Very Very Hot. Way To Hot To Touch For More Than A Second. Is This Normal? Any Other Ideas?

Yes, it can be very hot. Mine was on the hot sunny days. Remember, the pump is circulating the water through the solar panels and if they have a lot of sun, the water is hot. It will not heat water overnight. That is why you have the water heater backup. You're supposed to do your laundry and dish washing during the day when it is working at it's maximum, which will be between 12 and 4 pm. Evidently you water heater is set too low if you want a shower hotter than 105. Personally I think 105 is just right for a shower.

120 Watt Solar Panel To Home Ac?
Ok I Just Ordered A 120 Watt Solar Panel 12V. I Want A Lead That Will Run A Fan And Pump Straight From The Panel No Way Connected To Batteries. I Also Want A Line Leading To Charge Deep Cycle Batteries Which I Will Store Electricity For Later Use. I Understand That Solar Panels Need Charge Controller To The Battery And From Battery An Inverter. But Whats Required If I Want To Run The Fan And Pump Without Draining The Batteries As They Charge?

If the power of the fan and pump doesn't exceed the 120W power of the solar panel then you will only draw current from the solar panel. And yes you need a charge controller. No the charge controller only control the charge of the battery,it doesn't control the load on the battery!
