What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your ac system, washing clothing, watching TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are substantial, many home owners find that the benefit, distinct functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more attractive.

Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically lower or even remove your electric expenses

Whether you're a property owner, company, or not-for-profit, electricity costs can comprise a large part of your regular monthly costs. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will lower your utility bills and you'll still conserve a great deal of cash.

#2 Earn a terrific return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expenditure-- they're one of the best methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical energy bill savings, the average American homeowner settles their solar panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against increasing energy costs

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility costs. In the past 10 years, property electrical power costs have gone up by an average of 3 percent each year. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and safeguard versus unpredictable increases in electrical energy expenses. If you're a business or house owner with rising and falling capital, going solar likewise assists you better projection and handle your expenses.

#4 Increase your residential or commercial property value

Multiple research studies have actually discovered that homes geared up with solar energy systems have greater property values and sell more rapidly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are progressively taking solar installations into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more educated about solar, demand for homes equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of accomplishing energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from rate fluctuations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This growth is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a substantial factor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a terrific way to reduce your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A common property solar panel system will get rid of 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees each year.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are essential parts of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Increasingly, consumers and communities are recognizing and rewarding organisations that opt to run properly. Businesses are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective driver of customer getting decisions, developing goodwill and enhancing service results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.

Many house owners opt to fund their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding choices. This suggests that a third-party company-- the solar supplier-- owns the planetary system and takes care of installation, maintenance, monitoring and repairs. You just pay the solar service provider for electricity-- less than you would've paid the energy business.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy business are infamous for their changing and undependable electrical power prices. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and basic mathematics, we can calculate what does it cost? electricity will be created, and most significantly, at exactly what price, for at least the next 20 years (repaired energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can We Use Solar Energy To Power A Whole House In India?

It is all relative - Big House, or Small House?

Yes you can use solar energy.

2 types - generate electricity and/or make hot water.

First work out your NEEDS.
Make a list of all the appliances you will be using - at any one time - read the Watt or Kjoul rating off the 'appliance info plate - at the back'.
Add to this all the LIGHTS - ie... 10x 60 watt globes = 600 watts

Arrive at a TOTAL POWER for the House - and start costing the SOLAR COLLECTORS available to you to find if you can afford it all.

HOT WATER SOLAR is easy - a tank and a BLACK hose - use convection [hot water rises] and place the Tank on the roof - and the hose below it - then you have a gravity feed to your bath, etc.

SUPER HOT SOLAR WATER - can make steam pressure, to run a turbine blade connected to a generator.. but this is a bit more hassle and high tech.. but simple in concept.

ELECTRICAL STORAGE - batteries - is what you charge up of a day, and run them flat of a night - via an INVERTER - to boost the 12volts (DC battery) - up to 115/240v to run your 'stuff'.

A small solar collector is okay for your mobile phone or computer - maybe... check the 'watts'.

Challenges Of Clean Energy?

Cost and infrastructure.

The cost of maintaining windmills and building solar panels is a LOT higher than the cost of maintaining electricity generation plants fired by coal, natural gas, oil. Thats why wind and solar power costs so much more.

It costs about $25,000 to outfit a 1700sq ft house with solar panels. Think of how many decades it will take to recoup that cost vs. just paying your electric bill.

As for infrastructure... you need a LOT of land to lay out solar panels and to build wind mills. Land is not cheap. Natural gas powered cars is a viable option for the future- but then we'd need natural gas pumps, and that infrastructure takes time to build.

What Is The Difference Between An Ethanol Car, E(85), And An Electrical Car?
Please Give Me Both Positive And Negative Things About The Both!

They are both cars and begin with the letter "E" but that is just about where the similarity ends. An electric car uses electricity to drive wheels through an electric motor. An ethanol car is just a regular internal combustion engine car that has been adapted to use a mixture of max. 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline as the fuel.

From this point we could describe the difference between Ethanol and Electricity as a fuel and/or the difference between the internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle and the electric car. We might also discuss the infrastructure available to each. You will find however that most people tend to confuse these distinct aspects blaming or praising the "car" for the failure or success of the fuel or infrastructure.

A solar car is an electric car. A hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is an electric car. Some series hybrids are electric cars. Subways and trolleys are electric vehicles. We also have battery electric cars and could someday have cars with electricity transmitted to them. The common element with all of these is an electric motor to run the wheels. Naturally the electric motor uses electricity as a "fuel," but in each case the electricity is obtained in a different way.

The electric motor is usually very efficient with up to 98% efficiency in some solar cars. It can achieve its full torque from 0 RPM and therefore does not need a transmission. It is quiet and produces relatively little heat and no pollution at the point of use. It is relatively simple and can have as little as 5 moving parts in the dirvetrain.

The internal combustion engine is relatively noisy, produces pollution no matter what fuel is used in the engine (NOX) has very little starting torque (requiring a transmission) is relatively inefficient (about 20%) and produces a lot of waste heat. The engine also requires a cooling system, a fuel system, a transmission, an exhaust system and due to its mass will tend to unbalance a vehicle. Over the years they have become increasingly complex with now over 700 moving parts in the drivetrain.

Electricity excels at transmission. As an energy medium it does not rely on chemical bonds in the same way as a "fuel." Some electric cars (see above) you can plug in and some get electricity in other ways. Even when electricity ultimately comes from the grid is has multiple ways it can be produced. Ultimately the power might come from the sun through solar panels, hydroelectric, wind, tides. It might come from nuclear or geothermal sources. Or it might come from the conventional sources of coal, oil or natural gas. What is difficult to do with electricity is store it. Storing it on a moving vehicle is even more of a problem for range, charge times, and the life of the storage medium. Electricity must conform to the laws of physics. Presently solar panels are about 10 to 20 % efficient at gathering sunlight.

Ethanol is a gasoline substitute. As a fuel it stores energy in chemical bonds. When the chemistry is used there are by products we often label as pollution. While fossil fuels stored ancient sunlight and chemistry, biofuels like ethanol store present day sunlight and chemistry. Biofuels must conform to the laws of biology. Photosynthesis is about 1 to 5% efficient.

When we compare sunlight to an electric car vs sunlight to an ethanol car we find that the electric car is about 100 times more efficient overall. (See full analysis in my answer here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... )

Infrastructure is what is used to make up for deficiencies in the vehicle. Any vehicle that stores power on the vehicle will have limited range. Because ethanol is more energy dense than battery storage the ethanol car has longer range. Electricity however would be better served with an infrastructure of transmission not possible with ethanol vehicles. Wireless transmission with tuned capacitors in the roadway would give electric cars unlimited range with no need to refuel and no capacity loss over time. It would be the proper infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Water, Wind, Kinetic And Solar Energy?
I'M Doing A Report On Renewable Resources. Do Any Of You Know Where The Idea To Use The Sun, Wind, Movement And Water Came From?

Thomas Edison once mentioned the importance of solar power; so it's safe to say that it would have been used or at least considered in his time.

Also, wind has been used for several years! Persians invented the windmill and Europeans used to grind grain, pump water, and saw wood. Also, take into account the use of sails on ships used for exploration. It wasn't until around the 18th/19th century that people began using steam to power ships. Before that, though, most ships were moved by the wind.
