What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to use the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning unit, washing clothing, viewing TV, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, numerous home owners discover that the convenience, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more attractive.

Leading Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically decrease and even remove your electrical bills

Whether you're a property owner, business, or not-for-profit, electrical energy costs can make up a large part of your month-to-month expenditures. With a solar panel system, you'll produce free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your energy expenses and you'll still conserve a great deal of cash.

#2 Earn a terrific return on your investment

Solar panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns matching those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electricity expense cost savings, the average American property owner settles their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard versus rising energy costs

One of the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility costs. In the previous 10 years, domestic electrical energy prices have gone up by an average of three percent every year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and safeguard against unforeseeable boosts in electrical energy expenses. If you're a service or house owner with changing capital, going solar likewise helps you better forecast and manage your expenses.

#4 Increase your property value

Multiple research studies have found that houses equipped with solar energy systems have higher home worths and offer quicker than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more educated about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of achieving energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our country from rate fluctuations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar industry included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This growth is expected to continue. Because solar-related tasks have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a substantial contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a terrific method to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A normal residential photovoltaic panel system will get rid of 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are necessary parts of a company's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line results. Increasingly, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that opt to operate properly. Services are finding that "green" credentials are a powerful motorist of consumer purchasing choices, producing goodwill and enhancing service outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Numerous house owners choose to fund their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This means that a third-party company-- the solar supplier-- owns the planetary system and takes care of setup, upkeep, monitoring and repair works. You simply pay the solar provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy business are notorious for their varying and unreliable electrical power prices. There is clearly an upward trend.

With solar panels and easy mathematics, we can calculate what does it cost? electrical energy will be produced, and most notably, at what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

The United States' Natural Resources..?
The United States Has A Lot Of Its Own Oil. If We Sunk Oil Wells And Used The Oil That Is In The United States, We Would Not Have To Be Dependent On Expensive Foreign Oil. But, If We Did That, It Would Seriously Hurt Our Environment. Give Your Opinions As To Why We Should Or Should Not Put In Our Own Oil Wells.

The idea that there are vast, undiscovered oil reserves hidden somewhere within the borders and coastal areas of the United States is at the very least a gamble and at the most a myth.

The idea that there are vast, obtainable non-fossil fuel* energy resources available by other means (Nuclear, Hydro-electric, solar, tidal, etc) that are not being utilized is a fact.

As long as it is cheaper to obtain petrol than to invest in alternatives, the alternatives will not be fully exploited.

A wild-goose-chase for undiscovered oil will definitely be damaging and probably waste of time and energy. Even if it's found, it's a temporary fix.

Lucky for us, we have virtually unlimited access to plenty of very-cheap, dirty, filthy cancer-causing coal.

Some here may argue that "Drill Baby Drill!" says there IS oil there, we just need to drill it. Please, if you know where this oil is...call Exxon-Mobile immediately!

What Are The Different Principles Based On Which Electricity Can Be Produced Using Sunlight(Solar Energy)?????
I Want To Know The Various Principles Based On Which A Solar Energy Can Be Converted To Electrical Energy. Just List All Of Them Out Briefly And The 10 Points Is Yours.

Photo-voltaic
Heat
Indirect via heat
Burning vegetation
Fossil fuels

Sunlight is white because it contains photons of a broad range (spectrum) of energies i.e. colours. So your question might be re-stated as "What are the different principles for solar energy suited to the different colours within sunlight?"

The obvious one is photo-voltaic cells that directly convert light into electricity. That covers the visible spectrum.

High-energy light, i.e. ultra-violet is best converted to electricity by using it to generate heat (infra-red) which then can be converted into electricity with the use of a turbine or Peltier effect heat pumps. The latter route can be directly used for infra-red, although most of it is stopped by our atmosphere.

Burning vegetation and fossil fuels (the latter derived from the former) are both ways of generating electricity from sunlight .. .they just take longer than the direct methods.. by 600million years in the case of petroleum.

Solar Energy....?
I Dont Know If There Even Is A Answer To This Or Not.. But To Power Solar Energy Do You Need Another Energy Source To Run Along With It To Allow Solar Energy To Work? I Read This Somewhere Today Online.. But Im Not Sure Where.. So I Was Wondering If It Was Correct Or Not..

Solar cells convert sun light directly to electricity it doesn't need more power to do anything, what it does need is storage (batteries or fuel cell) to store the energy, unless it is going to be used immediately. You do need a regulator as the voltage from cells tends to fluctuate with the amount of light/cloud cover.
A number of new types are set to improve the uses of solar cell considerably, from Europe and Australia, flexible cells which will contour to different shapes like car roofs and even cloths, and sliver cells made from slivers of silicon which will be much cheaper to produce.

Solar Powered Water Heater?
I'M Trying To Make A Water Heater That Will Boil With The Use Of A Solar Panel. I'Ve Heard That Diodes Get Rid Of Energy Through Heat And Light. If I Would Use This Method To Turn Electricity To Heat, Would It Work? Is There Another Way To Do This? If You'Re Wondering What This Is For; It'S For A Reflux Distill. I'M Trying To Make Ethanol For My Car, And If I'M Going To Make It I Want It To Be Environmentally Friendly.

If you want to heat water with solar, don't mess with making electric and then converting it back to heat. just collect the heat directly. a heat collector is much cheaper and easier to make, and it is more efficient for what you want to do since you always loose some when converting to electric and back to heat from electric.

Where Does This Energy Come From?
I Just Want To Point Out Before Getting Into This Question That Physics Is Not My Forté, So Please Excuse Any Bad/Incorrect Understandings Or Use Of Terminology. I Was Recently Watching Brian Cox'S Wonders Of The Solar System, And In One Part He Starts To Talk Around One Of Jupiter'S Moons, Io. He Explained That Despite Its Small Size, It Exhibits Extreme Levels Of Volcanism Because Of Its Eccentric Orbit And The Stretching/Squashing Effect Jupiter'S Gravity Has On The Moon During That Orbit. Heat Is Being Generated By The Friction Being Caused By The Squashing, Thus The Volcanoes. However, Is This &Quot;Free Energy&Quot;, Is This Heat Coming From Nowhere? If You Stretch And Squash An Elastic Band, It Also Heats Up - However You Are Expending Energy To Do This. As Far As I'M Aware, Gravity Is Not &Quot;Used Up&Quot; In This Process, So In My Understanding Is This Not An Infinite Source Of Thermal Energy? I Know That You Cant Actually Create Energy, It Always Has To Come From Somewhere, I Just Can'T Think Of Where The Source Of The Energy That Moves The Rock To Create Friction Is Coming From. Any Explanation Or Point In The Right Direction Would Be Very Much Appreciated.

This is actually a very astute question and I feel the answers thus far either don't give a sufficient answer, or are just plain wrong.

The volcanism we see on Io, does not get the energy from it's orbit or from Jupiter or gravity as Randy P and Fah King Genius seem to imply. It is true that Jupiter's gravity plays a role in causing the volcanism, but it is not the source of the energy.

As you correctly described, Io is in an eccentric orbit around Jupiter. This causes it to feel varying gravitational fields as it orbits. These varying fields in turn cause the moon to become stretched and squeezed as the field changes.

Now what happens when you stretch and squeeze a lot of rocks? They rub against each other. Usually however, the way it works is you need to apply a certain amount of force before the rocks will slip. This means that when they do snap it creates a lot of energy. In fact we see these type of "Slip-Strike Faults" here on Earth all the time. It's similar to you bending a stick. It takes a certain amount of force before the stick finally snaps. Now when the rocks of Io do snap, they expend a ton of energy.

This is where the energy comes from. The energy comes from the fact that the stretching and squeezing of Io is basically breaking it. When the rocks break they create energy in all sorts of forms such as Ioquakes (Earthquakes but on Io), sound, and most important heat. This heat is what's allow for magma to form and pressures are the cause of volcanic explosions.

As I stated, we see the same things here on Earth. However our volcanoes and earthquakes are caused by the fact that the Earth is cooling and equilibrating, but the principles are the same. The source of energy for our volcanoes comes from the interactions of constantly changing and breaking plates.

So really all that volcanism is nothing more than Io releasing it's own energy that is stored inside the contents of the planet. It is not stealing energy from anywhere and using that to cause the volcanism.
