What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioner, washing clothes, watching TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are considerable, many home owners find that the convenience, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more enticing.

Top Ten Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically reduce or even remove your electric expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, company, or nonprofit, electrical power expenses can make up a big part of your regular monthly costs. With a solar panel system, you'll create free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will minimize your energy costs and you'll still save a lot of money.

#2 Make a fantastic return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the finest methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more conventional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical energy bill cost savings, the typical American homeowner pays off their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect against increasing energy costs

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility rates. In the past 10 years, residential electricity costs have gone up by an average of 3 percent every year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and safeguard against unpredictable increases in electrical power expenses. If you're a service or house owner with ever-changing cash circulation, going solar also helps you better projection and handle your expenditures.

#4 Boost your home worth

Multiple studies have discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property worths and offer quicker than non-solar houses. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, need for homes equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial part of accomplishing energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electrical power from the sun, we can likewise insulate our country from rate variations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market added jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This growth is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A common domestic photovoltaic panel system will get rid of 3 to 4 heaps of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are very important parts of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that opt to run properly. Services are discovering that "green" qualifications are an effective motorist of customer acquiring decisions, producing goodwill and improving business results.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Numerous homeowners opt to fund their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This suggests that a third-party business-- the solar service provider-- owns the planetary system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar company for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility business are notorious for their varying and unreliable electricity costs. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and simple mathematics, we can determine what does it cost? electricity will be generated, and most notably, at exactly what rate, for at least the next 20 years (repaired energy expenses).

Financing

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is The Advantage And Disadvantage For Solar Energy?

The primary advantage is it does not produce CO2 and other pollutants.

The Disadvantages:
1. Initial cost is much higher. Payback for the average is 15-20 years.
2. Unreliable - Only produces when sun shines
3. Area required - Very large area required relative to conventional
4. Depreciating efficiency - Panels degrade with time.

Wind has almost the same disadvantages, except depends on wind blowing.

In my opinion, Nuclear is a better option. No CO2, smaller footprint, Reliable 24/7 source of power. Wind and solar are great, but are limited to supplemental source only in areas that are practical for the type.

Do You Think Solar Energy Would Be Good For Greenland?
What Are Some Factors Should The City Council Consider Before They Make A Decision? Is Solar Energy Appropriate For The Resources And Culture Of Greenland? In Your Opion And Why

Solar Energy is from the sun, if you live in a sunny climate the answer is yes. Anything less than pretty sunny would not be worth the often hefty price for quality panels. Resources besides sun aren't an issue because that's all that is required for it to produce power. Alternative energy is one of the best decisions people on earth could make right now because the amount of pollution we put into our atmosphere and oceans when we use oil, coal, etc. is gigantic and an alternate way that doesn't pollute nearly at all is a yes.

How Much Solor Energy Would Be Needed To Run A Air Conditioner?

Far more than you can afford.

A 3 ton central air conditioner draws about 7,500 watts. The sun doesn't shine all the time, indeed you typically get less than 8 hours of usable sunshine for photovoltaics so you have to generate three times the power that you need in order to run the air conditioner around the clock so that's 22,500 watts. Inverters are inefficient and are more inefficient the bigger they get to the point where motor generators are used with large sale DC to AC conversion, however most solar systems use an inverter so you'll likely to have 60% efficiency therefore it's 37,500 watts that's needed. Air conditioners are ideally sized to meet the cooling demands as closely as possible as a short duty cycle results in high humidity so let's say it has an 80% duty cycle, that brings the requirements to 30,000 watts. A solar cell costs $1.20 a watt to manufacture in China and $2 a watt to manufacture in the US but by the time a system is installed, it would likely be $5 per watt so your solar panels would cost $150,000. Oh, and you won't have enough roof space facing the Sun.

If you do want solar powered air conditioning, your best bet would be evacuated tube solar thermal panels running an absorption air conditioner. But this won't be cheap either and it will probably still require natural gas as a backup source of heat and it would mean completely replacing your air-conditioner.

What Are Problems Ancountered When Using Solar Energy?
Solar Energy

Systems rearely generate at capacity. Normally on a good day a system will produce 80% of its rated value.

It only works during the day and only when the sun is above a certain angle.

Along the coast, Solay systems have been ruined because Sea gulls drop shells and rocks on teh arrays. Its kind of off, by the seagulls target teh arrays. newer systems have sufaces that will not crack or break but they can still get scratched. Scratches reduce performance.

When you clean the arrays you have to be carefuyl about how. several large arrays have been ruined because of overly aggressive cleaning created abbrasions in the top lens. this reduced the amount of light getting to the semi-conductors and thus decreased the output of the arrays. These were significant decreases. Produciton dropped by more than 40%.

Snow. Snow can cover your array and all production stops.

Heat, the best sun is gehnerally in h ot environments. solar array have lower production as they heat up. Having a solar PV array in say Arizona will also cut the life of the array due to heat.

Batteries. Batteries are expensive and have a relatively high maintenance factor. also batteries banks generally have a low life. Meaning you should replace the battiers once every 5 years or so. this get VERY expensive. The environmental impact of many of these batteiries is significant.

I hope you find this useful.

What Percentage Of Solar Energy Is Used Up Each Year?

Wow. I'm pretty vague about what you mean by "solar energy" and what you mean by "used up."

If by solar energy, you mean the electricity generated by solar panels, then I'll have to say 100%.

If by solar energy you mean all the radient solar energy that strikes the earth, then I'll have to ask what you mean by "used up."

If by "used up" you mean that it goes somewhere, then I'd have to say 100%.

If by "used up" you mean that it is somehow consumed by a living being, then I'd need to do a web search on how much of the earth is covered by concrete. Because all the rest of it is "used up" by plants - both on land and in the ocean - or by animals sunbathing or by solar panels or to heat homes..

If by "used up" you mean that it strikes solar panels, then I'll need to do a web search on the total square feet of solar panels installed to date.

But since I'm not prepared to do two or three web searches to answer one question, I'll just ask you what you mean instead.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
