What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to use the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioning system, cleaning clothes, seeing TV, cooking dinner. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are substantial, many residents find that the convenience, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.

Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably reduce and even eliminate your electric bills

Whether you're a homeowner, business, or not-for-profit, electrical energy expenses can make up a big part of your monthly expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll produce totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will reduce your energy expenses and you'll still conserve a lot of loan.

#2 Earn a fantastic return on your investment

Solar panels aren't an expenditure-- they're one of the finest ways to invest, with returns matching those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical energy expense cost savings, the typical American house owner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard against rising energy expenses

Among the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge energy rates. In the previous 10 years, property electrical power rates have actually increased by an average of 3 percent each year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and secure versus unforeseeable boosts in electricity costs. If you're a service or house owner with rising and falling capital, going solar also helps you much better forecast and handle your expenses.

#4 Increase your house worth

Several studies have actually discovered that homes geared up with solar energy systems have higher property values and offer more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more informed about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of accomplishing energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capacity to generate electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our country from rate fluctuations in international energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your regional economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar market included jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This growth is expected to continue. Since solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a terrific way to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A common domestic solar panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are crucial components of an organization's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, customers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding services that select to run responsibly. Companies are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective driver of consumer buying choices, creating goodwill and improving company results.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Numerous homeowners decide to fund their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This implies that a third-party business-- the solar service provider-- owns the planetary system and looks after installation, upkeep, monitoring and repair works. You merely pay the solar service provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy business are well-known for their changing and unreliable electrical power prices. There is plainly an upward trend.

With solar panels and simple mathematics, we can determine just how much electrical energy will be generated, and most notably, at what price, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Wind Turbine For Energy?
Would A Windmill Turbine Be Better Than Solar Panels For Electricity

If you have plenty of land. The towers have to stand at least 30 feet taller than surrounding structures and at least two tower heights away from any building, also should they fall in any direction, it has to land on your property. Your neighbours also have a say as to the noise they generate and the impact they make to the scenery. Wind is inexpensive ( in comparison to solar ) and doesn't have the water rights problem of micro hydro but not too many properties can actually have them. They are hardly carbon neutral as the energy and material cost to manufacture them is substantial. They also generate power mostly at night while peak demand is during the day.

Would Installing Solar Panels On Top Of An Ice Cream Truck Be A Good Investment?
Gas Is Expensive Nowadays, Nobody Chases After Ice Cream Trucks At Night, And Ice Cream'S Pretty Cheap.

My sister's hot dog stand has solar panels on it! It runs a fan, radio, charges her cell phones, and occasionally powers a very small fridge. There are freezers designed to run directly off solar panels or with batteries charged by solar panels, so you could keep the ice cream cold with solar.

However, if you are talking about driving the truck with solar, that's not practical. You would need an electric vehicle, being charged by more solar panels than could fit on the roof. You could have solar panels on the garage that generate the same amount of electricity you use to charge it, thus offsetting your use, but realistically, this is a very expensive project.

How Can We Use Electricity Received From Solar Panel Without Battery We Do Not Want To Store Energy?

Hi Vinod, there are some things you can do with a solar panel without a battery. One example is a pond recirculating pump. Realgoods Catalog has sets of panels and pumps you can buy that hook straight together. When the sun shines, the pump runs. The important thing here is the pump current, in amps, is balanced with the solar panels maximum current. There are a few other small items like this, but I'm guessing you wanted to use the power to run things in your home. The only way to do that is to use a grid tie inverter. They make lots of large household sized ones, from 1200 to 5000 watts, they are expensive. Basically, the panel hooks to the DC side, and whatever is available, the inverter takes the power, inverts it to AC, synchronizes it with the AC in your house, and feeds it into the existing wiring. If you are just going to use one panel, then I would suggest something called a microinverter. They are small, designed to connect directly to the back of the panel and feed power into an electrical outlet. There is only one company making them today that I am aware of, but the name slips my mind. Try googling, "microinverter." Take care, Rudydoo

Dc Or Ac For Cabin Off-Grid ?
If You Were Wiring A Cabin For Lights For Off-Grid - Solar Panels And Batteries - Would You Use 12V Dc Leds Or 110V Ac Leds Or Cfls. Or Something Else, Like 48V Dc ? Seems To Me It Ought To Be More Efficient To Do Without The Conversion To Ac And Back Again

When I go camping I take a 12v Deep Cycle 48 amp hour battery to power 6-7 12v halogen lamps. It works pretty well if you just plan to use lamps and thats about it. You are correct that an inverter will make things less efficient but the question you really need to ask if there are any other power requirements. A straight 12v setup isnt too bad if you just plan to have lamps around but of course you may want more things to power in which case I would just pony up for an inverter to suit your needs. Depending on how long of a cable run you got 12v might not be enough. My lamps were wired in parallel in a 30 foot loop which worked well but if you plan to go longer than I would say 24 would be adequate. If you were looking for a long run of lamps, say 100-150 feet, then I would just go AC and get the inverter, less of a voltage drop. Again my feeling on this would depend on how many batteries I had and how many panels I had offsetting the consumption.

How Do I Get Solar Panels To Light A Model House?
For A Class Project Me And My Partner Have To Make A Solar Powered House. The Lights Have To Work In The House. How Do I Get The Lights To Be Powered By The Solar Panels? What Do I Need To Get? Best Answer Gets The Points! Thank You

it would be to impractical to use solar cells for your project, however most garden centers sell sidewalk lights that uses a solar cell to charge a battery and the lights come on when it gets dark. with a little ingenuity you could make it work, also theres the option of having mirror walls throughout the model and somehow aim direct sunlight into it.good luck.
