What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning unit, washing clothing, viewing TV, cooking supper. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological benefits of solar power are substantial, numerous residents discover that the convenience, unique functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more enticing.

Leading Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly minimize or perhaps remove your electric bills

Whether you're a property owner, service, or nonprofit, electrical power expenses can comprise a big part of your regular monthly costs. With a solar panel system, you'll create complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will lower your utility costs and you'll still save a great deal of loan.

#2 Earn a fantastic return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expenditure-- they are among the very best methods to invest, with returns equaling those of more conventional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical power costs savings, the typical American house owner pays off their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect against rising energy costs

Among the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the previous ten years, residential electricity prices have actually gone up by an average of three percent each year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and secure versus unforeseeable increases in electrical energy costs. If you're a company or property owner with rising and falling cash circulation, going solar also helps you better forecast and handle your costs.

#4 Boost your home worth

Multiple research studies have actually discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have greater home values and sell more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more educated about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to create electricity from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from cost fluctuations in international energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market added tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This development is anticipated to continue. Since solar-related jobs have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a substantial factor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a terrific way to minimize your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A normal residential photovoltaic panel system will remove three to four tons of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are very important parts of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, customers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding services that choose to operate properly. Organisations are finding that "green" qualifications are an effective driver of consumer acquiring decisions, creating goodwill and improving business results.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Numerous house owners decide to finance their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing choices. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the planetary system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repair works. You merely pay the solar company for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility companies are infamous for their fluctuating and undependable electrical power rates. There is plainly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and easy math, we can compute how much electricity will be created, and most importantly, at what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy costs).

What Material Absorbs Solar Radiation?
Also Can You Make Energy Using Uv And Solar Radiation What Material Prevents Solar Radiation

Anything that casts a shadow prevents solar radiation.
Solar panels (cadmium telluride) absorb solar radiation and convert it to electricity. Something tells me that this technique is the most effective, considering all of the solar panels in space.
Solar radiation is far more than just Ultra Violet, and more commonly referred to as electromagnetic radiation. Generally the less shiny an object is, the more radiation it absorbs.

How Long Does It Take For A Solar Cell To Get A Reading?
Im Doing A Science Fair Project And I Need To Know How Long It Would Take For A Solar Cell To Get A Reading And Start Producing Energy Starting At The Time That You Put It Direct Sunlight.

Hey Robert, Quantum and Nyx are both quite correct. All you have to do is place that panel in the sun with a meter attached, and the meter will show current and voltage before you even take your hand off the panel. We actually run an experiment each year for our local 5th graders here with a panel and electronics I bring from the home. It has always been well received. There are two features that really make it popular among the kids. First is they are actually producing power with our 55 watt panel before the hour is up, and that is something they are quite proud of. Second, our setup has a small box with an amp meter connected to the incoming wire from the panel and going to a car battery nearby. Then we have a second amp meter from the battery to some 12 volt outlets. Plugged in are a light, a micro inverter to run a string of LED christmas lights, and a portable radio/CD player. Then while the panel is running and charging the battery, we turn on and off each of the devices, check the amp readings, and the kids can see how the panel can run 3 amps into the battery, and the CD player and light take 2 amps back out. Now they can see that the panel is not only running the small devices, but is charging the battery at the same time, saving power for later at night when the sun goes down.

This is exactly how a solar powered home works, and the little experiement we have set up shows all of those features, so it is very educational and enlightening to actually see it all happening. You might think of some interesting questions, such as, "Can a solar panel power a home at night?" The answer clearly becomes yes if you have a battery bank. You could also add a solar batch preheater model, just take a coffee can, paint it black, mount it inside a small plywood box with a glass side that faces the sun, and fill that can and another in the classroom with water from the tap. Be sure to take the water temperature first and write it down. Then set your box in the sun next to the panel. After a half hour, check the temp of both cans of water, and note the difference, how much warmer is the water out in the sun?

Our home actually works just like this. We have a 1.4 kilowwatt solar array and a 1kw wind turbine for electricity. There are 2 30 gallon batch water heaters out in the sun just like the one I mentioned, and the warm water they produce feeds into the regular water heater, so it uses less energy to finish heating the water. We also heat with wood and collect rain water to offset our wells energy use. All of these things could be built in model size with stuff around your house, and they offer very compelling evidence on how solar power works. I'll include some websites below you might find interesting too. Good luck Robert, and take care, Rudydoo

How Fast Does A 125Watt Solar Panel Generate Power To A Battery?
How Fast Does A 125Watt Solar Panel Generate Power To A Battery? Trying To Figure Out A Conversion Factor Here To Get A Rough Estimate Of How Many I Would Need To Power My House, Please Help?

To figure our how many you need, take a look at your power bill. It will tell you how many kilowatt/hours you used during the month. My bill says I use about 2000 kilowatt/hours per month, or about 2000 kwh /30 days=67 kw/h hours per day. That is 67,000 watt hours. To supply that with solar panels, you have to generate at least 67,000 watt hours, but you don't have a full day to do it, since you have to do it while the sun is up. So you put the energy into batteries during the day, so you can use it at night.

A 125 watt panel generates about 125 watts when fully illuminated by the sun. If you fully illuminate it for an hour, you get 125 watt hours. If you get 12 hours of sunlight a day, that would seem to imply that I need 67000 watt hours/125 watts /12 hours=45 panels.

But for most of the day, the sun isn't hitting the panel fully, so it isn't going to generate the full 125 watts. When the sun is 45 degrees to the side, you only get about 70%. When the sun is 60 deg to the side, you only get 50%. And what do you do on cloudy days? And the shorter days in the winter? To make up for this, you have to increase the number of panels to make up for the loss. So in reality, I might need double this number of panels, for realiable solar power throughout the year. That works out to about 90 panels, or 11,250 watts worth for my house.

Who Can Put Solar System To Heat House Swimming Pool?
I Would Like To Put Solar Panel To Heat My Home Swimming Pool. How Much Would It Cost And Who Would I Contact To Have It Done.

Block Poly Pipe is an option, but I don't recommend to put all of the flow through any solar system. You should put a tee in and a valve so it can be shut off and restricted. There is a trade off between the speed of the water and the amount of heat it will pick up. Also if you can build something to keep it out of the wind is best as well.

There are also many other options for solar heating systems. Most aren't so hard that someone with a little DIY knowledge can't do it them selves. For pre built options talk to a few local retail stores. Best to find smaller stores where you can talk to some one who knows something about the products.
