What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for home owners to use the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning system, cleaning clothing, enjoying TV, cooking supper. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are significant, numerous home owners discover that the benefit, unique features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more alluring.

Top Ten Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably reduce or perhaps eliminate your electrical expenses

Whether you're a property owner, company, or not-for-profit, electrical power expenses can make up a big part of your monthly expenses. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will minimize your energy bills and you'll still save a lot of cash.

#2 Make a terrific return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the finest methods to invest, with returns rivaling those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical energy bill savings, the average American property owner pays off their solar panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect versus increasing energy costs

Among the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, residential electricity costs have actually gone up by approximately 3 percent annually. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electricity rate and protect against unpredictable increases in electricity expenses. If you're a company or homeowner with ever-changing capital, going solar likewise helps you better projection and handle your expenditures.

#4 Increase your home or business value

Several research studies have actually discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have higher home values and sell quicker than non-solar houses. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, demand for homes geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our country from price variations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your local economy

According to The Solar Structure, the solar market included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This development is expected to continue. Because solar-related jobs tend to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant factor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is an excellent method to minimize your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly reduce that number. A typical property photovoltaic panel system will remove 3 to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are necessary elements of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, consumers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding services that decide to operate properly. Businesses are finding that "green" credentials are an effective chauffeur of consumer buying decisions, creating goodwill and enhancing organisation outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Lots of house owners opt to finance their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding choices. This implies that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar provider for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility companies are notorious for their varying and unreliable electricity rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and easy mathematics, we can determine how much electrical energy will be created, and most notably, at what cost, for at least the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).

Financing

What are the various payment options?

We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.

We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.

What is the warranty?

The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Solar Energy Is A Renewable Energy Source. In Addition To Powering Lights,?
Solar Energy Is A Renewable Energy Source. In Addition To Powering Lights, What Other Building Uses For Solar Power Have You Seen Or Read About? What Uses Not Currently Implemented Can You Imagine? I Have Heard About Solar Heating For Pools, Can Anyone Think Of Anything Else?

Solar energy is also used in powering heating. Where-by, we do not yet posses the current technology to have a '1-unit-does-all' system, we are somewhat on the way there, but still require 2 individual cells to power each domestic utility. So, it's kind of a 'choice' scenario currently, and for the foreseeable future. The mainstay of the problem lies in the unreliability of the solar cells containing enough output for sustained usage, inevitably, there's drop-off. In area's of a more stable and predictable climate, better results have been determined, once again though, problematic in in it's own right, as the amalgamate-polymer coating used, eventually peels, and wears, damaging the heat-sensitive panels themselves. A problem which also exists on the opposite sphere, in more temperate climates. It will take a long time, for a satisfactory, reliable, alternative power source to be readily accessible and implemented to the masses.

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Solar Energy?

Solar energy is the only energy which will be around in 500 years.
Solar energy is not steady.
Solar energy is best (for OUR needs right now) if paired with hydroelectric. When the sun doesn't shine, open the hydro and get sufficient energy for the day.
Solar energy is not very efficient yet.
Solar energy is not viable in all parts of the globe.

Is Solar Energy Really Practical And What Affects Does It Have On Earth?
Is It?

The award winning series NOVA (on PBS) just did a great episode on the "rebirth" of the solar energy industry and the role it could be playing very soon in the lives of almost everyone in North America (see link below).

Titled "Saved by the Sun" I think it did a great debunking the old solar power "myths" and showing just where the industry is at today. Solar power is becoming much more economical (more so when backed with state and federal tax breaks), viable, and user friendly.

While I don't see solar power as a "silver bullet" to our energy woes, it is a solid part of getting us off of oil and in the right direction.

The great benefit of solar power is that it has a zero "negative" impact on the earth. While some of the materials going into solar panels are of concern, they have all been designed to be recycled as of late.

Again, this is just part of one step in the right direction for our enegy needs I think.

Make A Solar Pannel More A Efficient?
How Would It Be Possible To Make A Solar Pannel Absorb More Energy For Less Surface Area?

One issue is that only one frequency of light is converted to electricity and that's the one that equals the bandgap energy of silicon. There are several approaches to address this, one are multiple layers of different materials but energy is lost with each layer to heat and materials other than silicon are far more expensive. Another is to make the surface like microscopic trees or rather spikes to give more surface area to the various layers without the light passing through each other but the light is then hitting the layers at an angle and are weaker. Another is to use organic dyes to absorb frequencies not used and re-emit them in the appropriate frequencies but energy is lost to heat in the process. Another is to use quantum dots to absorb the frequencies not used and re-emit them in the appropriate frequency but although this is more efficient than dyes, it's more expensive. Another is to use magnifying glasses and reflectors but this increases the heat build up on the cells making them less efficient.

Other people view the problem as efficiency versus cost and opt for inefficient thin film and amorphous technologies because they can be so cheap that you can just paint them onto a house but this requires more square footage.

There are also people talking about capturing the energy chemically just as photosynthesis does. This usually uses nano-tubes to separate the chemicals but it is proving inefficient just as photosynthesis is inefficient ( less than 1% in modern plants, theoretical efficiency of 6.6% ) but like photosynthesis, a chemical store is stable, storable and transportable.

There are many technical methods but our energy problem has never been a technical problem, it's been a problem of public will, politics and the economy. It's a socioeconomic problem not a technical problem.

What Is Solar Energy?
Please Do Not Send Me A Link! Thank You ;D

solar energy is energy directly from the Sun. This energy drives the climate and weather and supports virtually all life on Earth. Heat and light from the sun, along with solar-based resources such as wind and wave power, hydroelectricity and biomass, account for most of the available flow of renewable energy.
Solar energy technologies harness the sun's energy for practical ends. These technologies date from the time of the early Greeks, Native Americans and Chinese, who warmed their buildings by orienting, or positioning them toward the sun. Modern solar technologies provide heating, lighting, electricity and even flight.

Solar power is used synonymously with solar energy or more specifically to refer to the conversion of sunlight into electricity. This can be done either through the photo voltaic effect or by heating a transfer fluid to produce steam to run a generator.
