What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioning system, washing clothes, seeing TV, cooking dinner. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are considerable, many homeowners discover that the benefit, special functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are much more attractive.

Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly minimize or even eliminate your electric bills

Whether you're a homeowner, organization, or not-for-profit, electricity costs can comprise a big portion of your monthly expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll produce totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will decrease your energy costs and you'll still conserve a great deal of cash.

#2 Make a great return on your investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they are among the very best ways to invest, with returns matching those of more standard investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical power expense savings, the typical American house owner settles their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect versus increasing energy expenses

Among the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility rates. In the previous 10 years, residential electricity costs have gone up by approximately 3 percent yearly. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and safeguard versus unpredictable increases in electrical power expenses. If you're an organisation or house owner with fluctuating capital, going solar also assists you much better projection and handle your expenditures.

#4 Increase your residential or commercial property value

Numerous studies have discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have higher home values and offer quicker than non-solar houses. Appraisers are significantly taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, need for properties equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key part of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from rate fluctuations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar industry included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Since solar-related jobs have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable factor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is an excellent way to minimize your carbon footprint. Structures are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical property solar panel system will get rid of 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees each year.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are essential elements of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Significantly, customers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that opt to operate properly. Services are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective driver of customer acquiring decisions, creating goodwill and enhancing company results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Numerous homeowners choose to fund their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This suggests that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the planetary system and takes care of installation, upkeep, tracking and repairs. You just pay the solar company for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility companies are infamous for their changing and unreliable electrical energy prices. There is plainly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and easy math, we can compute what does it cost? electrical power will be generated, and most notably, at what rate, for a minimum of the next Twenty Years (fixed energy costs).

Financing

What is the warranty?

The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Would A Dc Toy Motor Not Work When Attached To A Solar Panel?
So I Salvaged A Toy Dc Motor From A Racecar Thing And It Runs On Aa Batteries. It Seems Like It Can Run With Only One Aa Battery At 1.1 V And Up To 6V Until It Won'T Run. However, Why Won'T It Run When I Attached It To A Solar Panel With Sufficient Voltage? Is It Because The Voltage Is Not Constant Enough Or The Amperage Is Too Much Or Too Less?

You need to hook the solar panel to a 6V storage battery then it will charge the battery which will run the motor. That is the usual way of it. See if you can find one of those solar patio lights, they have solar cell and circuitry to charge the battery. You can go to places like Ocean State and and get them for 1.50. You could cannibalize the circuitry for the motor. Getting one that does 2 batteries would probably be even better. It wouldn't be real efficient but it would get you started understanding solar cells on the cheap.

Have You Ever Installed Solar Panels For Your Home?
They Are Pretty Expensive. So Does It Save You Money On Electricity In The Long Run? How Easy Is It To Connect Solar Panels To Your House?

Yes, solar panels can cost allot of money up front. They will eventually pay for themselves over time. Today it is pretty easy to install solar panels. They've made panels so easy that you can pretty much just have a technician hook them up to the electrical box outside your house & you start saving money. Any electricity you generate over what you use...the utility company will PAY you!

What Are Some Methods For Capturing Low Voltage Electricity From Solar Panels?
Most Solar Panels (The Flat Ones That Go Onto Roofs Of Houses) Reject Electricity Produced By The Panels If They Are Too Low In Voltage. For Example, On A Cloudy Day, Although The Panels May Still Get Some Sunlight To Produce Some Electricity, It Is Rejected Because Its Too Low In Voltage. So, Does Anyone Have Any Ideas?

I have a 2.25KW system which uses micro inverters. Instead of one inverter powered by all panels, each (Canadian Solar CSp6-225W 36V no load 225W) PV panel has its own grid tie micro inverter. Each PV cell acts as its own independent system and avoids issues a traditional single inverter system would have. Single inverter systems must rely upon all of the PV cells in the array operating under identical conditions. If not then the entire array gets pulled down to the level of the weakest link. (A single PV cell partially shaded takes the whole system down for example)

Each inverter is operated with a large voltage overhead which allows for low power operation and allows the panel to supply as little as 2W. My 10 panel system is being logged as coming on line with less than 8W yield and peaks over 2KW in bright sun.

Are Solar Panels For A Home Expensive?
Do They Provide You With All The Electricity That You Need Or How Does That Work?

Short answer: YES. Solar photovoltaic systems are very expensive.

Longer answer: maybe not, after a few years have passed. Electricity isn't going to get any cheaper, and over its lifetime a photo panel can generate many, many times more energy than it took to make the panel itself. Typical warranties on photo panels are 20-25 years, so you know they're pretty reliable in the long run. However much you pay for a year's electricity, how many photovoltaic panels will that buy? Quite a few, I bet. Multiply that by several years' avoided utility bills and you could look at it as a long-term investment on future savings.

A large photovoltaic array can generate all the energy your home requires, but there are some caveats:

You will need a large battery bank to provide the surges of power your house requires, and to provide electricity after the sun goes down -OR-

You will need a grid-intertied system that has to be inspected and passed by the local utilities and meet your locality's electrical and building codes. In this case, the local utility performs the duties of the battery backup. In this paradigm however, you have the capacity to sell excess electricity to the utility, which is awesome. Damned unlikely, but awesome just the same.

Actually, that code stuff applies to the battery backup system, too.

I have seen "pirate" installations that flew under the code radar. Can't have grid intertie that way, but you can reduce your utility bill a huge amount or eliminate it entirely.

Want to dip your toes without breaking the bank? Take one room off the grid: either install new wiring or segregate one room's wiring out of the main breaker panel, and create a battery backup system for just that room. The big energy hogs are the kitchen, the water heater (if it's electric), central heat and air. Something simple like a bedroom, however, doesn't take much power at all and is easily supplied with a very modest solar system and a small battery bank.

Read up on it. Get online and read back issues of Home Power and Backwoods Home Magazine, and Mother Earth News. Run the numbers, and see what you can afford to do. When the power goes out, it's nice to have a room where the lights still work, so a bathroom, the living room and a bedroom are, in my opinion, a great set of places to take off the grid.

Good luck with it.

Do Solar Panels In Space Absorb More Energy From The Sun?
I Was Wondering If A Solar Panel The Same Size Absorbs More Energy From The Sun When It Is In Space Other Than Earth. Just Outside Of Earth'S Atmosphere. Is There A Major Difference?

Space based solar panels can collect 5 times more energy than ground based ones can due to the fact that space-based panels can collect sunlight continuously without being affected by the day/night cycle. They can also collect more power when compared over the same amount of time with a ground-based panel due to escaping the filtering affect of air pollution/smog, weather and so on.
