What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to use the sun to power everyday life: running your ac system, cleaning clothing, watching TV, cooking supper. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, numerous home owners discover that the benefit, unique features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more attractive.

Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly reduce or perhaps remove your electrical costs

Whether you're a property owner, business, or nonprofit, electrical energy expenses can comprise a big portion of your regular monthly expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will reduce your utility expenses and you'll still conserve a lot of loan.

#2 Earn an excellent return on your investment

Solar panels aren't an expense-- they are among the very best methods to invest, with returns rivaling those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical energy costs savings, the average American homeowner settles their photovoltaic panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard versus increasing energy costs

Among the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the ability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, property electrical energy costs have actually gone up by approximately 3 percent annually. By buying a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical energy rate and secure versus unforeseeable increases in electricity costs. If you're an organisation or homeowner with rising and falling capital, going solar likewise helps you much better projection and manage your costs.

#4 Increase your home value

Several studies have actually found that homes equipped with solar energy systems have greater property values and offer more quickly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more educated about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial component of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to generate electrical power from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from cost fluctuations in global energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar industry included jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This growth is anticipated to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a substantial factor to the United States economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a fantastic method to lower your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A typical property solar panel system will get rid of 3 to four loads of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are important parts of a company's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding companies that decide to run properly. Organisations are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective driver of customer getting choices, creating goodwill and enhancing business results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no cash down.

Many property owners decide to finance their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This suggests that a third-party business-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You merely pay the solar service provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility business are well-known for their changing and undependable electrical power prices. There is plainly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and basic mathematics, we can determine just how much electrical power will be generated, and most importantly, at exactly what price, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I Need To Put Diode,Fuse And Breaker To My Solar Panel System??? My System Is Off-Grid....And Where To Put Those 3 Things..Thx?

If you bought your solar panels they most likely have a diode built in. If you built it yourself, you need to put one in. Keeps current running one direction.

You do not need a fuse and a breaker. I would go with an automatic thermal breaker like they put in the big trucks (that is if you are keeping it 12 or 24 volt). Find them at any truck stop or industrial electrical supply shop.

I would also put a quick disconnect to your battery storage.

Your inverter should have its own fuse built in. Mine do.

Hint: I found it much more convenient and a lot less expensive to use 4 2000 watt inverters than to use a single 6,000 or 8,000 watt inverter. With separate inverters if one pops a fuse you still can have lights in other parts of the house or if one burns out it is a lot easier and less expensive to replace one 2,000 watt than one 6,000 - 8,000 watt, plus you have the luxury of putting it off you need to instead of being in a hurry to get there.

Also, keep a 12 volt light near the inverters. That way if they do pop a fuse or breaker you can easily see what your doing. Seems they never blow during the daylight hours.

I Have A Cabin Way Off The Grid I Want To Power It With A Generator And A Battery System?
This Would Be My Only Source Of Power. I Want To Know Who Designs These Systems And How To Contact Them. Ty

We have a local company that sells solar panels and wind generators that designs full systems. If you are gong to use batteries, it pays to have a way to charge them and save the generator for backup. And, it all depends on demands. If you only have a few light bulbs, then stick with just a small generator. If you need 3,000 watts or more, then think about wind or solar to augment. Running your generator for long periods will cost a lot of fuel. Google or yellow pages. Local is better.

If Making Aluminum Is So Dam Expensive Because Of The Electricity, Why Don'T They Just Use Solar Energy?
Or Is It Not The Same?

Solar energy panels turn sunlight (or other light) into electricity. But the low efficiency of the panels, combined with the high cost to produce them, means that using only solar energy to produce aluminum would be more expensive than using non-solar energy.

When calculating the costs of any energy source, you have to look at not just the fuel inputs, but the cost of the hardware, how long it lasts before needing replacement, overall efficiency, and so on.

Under ideal conditions, at sea level, on a totally clear day, on the equator, at noon, the sunlight hitting the ground amounts to 1000W per square yard. A solar panel, given their average efficiency level, would extract about 120W of electricity. But even under those perfect, ideal conditions, coal-fired steam turbines are still cheaper, overall.

How Much Would You Pay For Each Watt Of A Solar Pv System In North California (Bay Area)?
A Company Just Quoted Me About $27,000 For A Complete Roof Top Solar Pv System With Net Metering And Monitoring That Guarantees A Minimal 3Kw / Hour Of Sun Light (My Area Averages To About 6 Hr / Day) For 25 Years, Which Is Before All Rebates And Incentives. I Will Surely Get All My 30% Tax Credit Plus A Small $600 Utility Rebate But Thats About It. So My Out Of Pocket Net Cost Will Be About $19,000. Is It Correct Then To Say My Cost Will Be 19,000 / 3000 = $6.3 / Watt? Even At 19K, $6.3 / Watt Seems To Be Very Expensive? Their Micro Inverters Are By Enphase And Panels Are By Solar World So They Are All Made In Usa, Which Is Why They Claimed Their System Is More Expensive Than Others Who Use Chinese Made Components. I Live In The Sf Bay Area In Nor Cal. What Do You Think?

Go with your gut instinct and get another quote.

California has a website that will allow you to calculate the cost/benefit of a system for yourself. There are factors like the type of roof that may come in to play but you should be able to get a good idea.

I Don'T Have Hearing Loss, I Have Better Hearing Than Others.?
That Is Why These Boombox Low Frequencies Bother Me Yet Others Don'T Hear Them. Very Frustrating. A Few Of My Students With This Type Of Hearing Have Also Been Bothered By The Pulsing Going On. I Wonder If Getting Solar Panels Has Anything To Do With It. I'M Leasing Them From Sunrun Trying To Do Something Good For The Environment. The Pulsing Started Not Long After I Got Them But They Say That Since They Turn Off At Night, I Shouldn'T Be Bothered At Night, But I Still Am. Any Thoughts On That?

Barbara, the noise you might be hearing, or vibrations you might be feeling are not the result of the solar panels, but they very well might be caused by the inverter they are connected to. I'm guesssing you don't have much understanding of what the panels are doing, other than making energy. Solar electric, or, "photovoltiac," panels work as a DC battery charger. When the sun shines on them, they create a continuous, one way flow of electrons, which at any level is totally inaudible. We have been powering out home from the wind and sun for years, and now that our inverter is connected to the grid selling power back during the daytime, we have noticed odd sounds coming from seemingly illogical sources. The ground fault outlet in one of our bathrooms makes a very low level noise, the wall behind our circuit breaker panel has a small vibration now, depending on how much sun is shining, and how many lights in the house are on, and so on. An inverter is designed to convert Direct Current (DC) electricity to Alternating Current (AC). The grid connected units, probably like yours, actually synchronize their output frequency to the grids, but they do it in tiny voltage steps, anywhere from 200 to 10,000 steps per second, all of which fit in the human auditory range of frequencies. I now know these sounds are caused by our inverter, and you can determine this as well. One day, preferably when it isn't really sunny, like at dusk, while you are hearing or feeling one of these curious sounds or vibrations, switch off the breaker in your home that feeds the inverter in your solar array. If the noise or vibration stops instantly, then the inverter is suspect. When you turn it back on again, the noise will not come back instantly, generally these devices take anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes to resynchronize before powering up again, and then after that the noise may come back.

Don't let any of this bother you, even with the funny noises and vibrations our house eminates, none of us has grown a third eyeball, or contracted cancer, lupus or cataracts as a result, you won't either. Your car probably vibrates and makes noises like crazy, yet we all still ride in them. Try that test above, decide if your inverter is the culprit, then either way, have a spot of tea and forget about it, that's what we do. Take care Barbara, Rudydoo
