I'Ve Used It With My 5 And 10 Watt Panels, But The Current On Them Is Much Less. Here, I'Ll Have Around 4 Amps. And I'M Not Sure If My Speaker Wire Is Designed To Handle That Much Current.

18 wire is 6.4 ohms per 1000 feet.
If you have a run of 100 feet, that is 200 feet of cable, so the resistance would be about 1 ohm, which is a 4 volt drop at 4 amps. A power loss of 16 watts.

Use something thicker. #12 is 1.6 ohms / 1000 feet, so the numbers are 0.3 ohms, 1.2 volts and 5 watts loss.

#10 is 1.0 ohms / 1000 feet, so the numbers are 0.2 ohms, 0.8 volts and 3 watts loss

#8 is 0.6 ohms / 1000 feet, so the numbers are 0.12 ohms, 0.5 volts and 2 watts loss
