What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c, cleaning clothes, seeing TV, cooking dinner. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, numerous homeowners discover that the benefit, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more alluring.

Top Ten Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Considerably lower or even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, organization, or nonprofit, electrical energy costs can comprise a large part of your month-to-month expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will reduce your utility expenses and you'll still save a great deal of loan.

#2 Earn an excellent return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expenditure-- they are among the very best methods to invest, with returns equaling those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical energy costs savings, the average American property owner pays off their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard against rising energy costs

One of the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the capability to hedge energy rates. In the past ten years, residential electricity costs have actually increased by approximately 3 percent every year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical power rate and protect against unforeseeable boosts in electrical power costs. If you're a business or homeowner with ever-changing money flow, going solar likewise assists you better forecast and manage your expenses.

#4 Increase your house worth

Several studies have discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have higher home worths and sell more quickly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, need for properties equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential element of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electrical power from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from price variations in international energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market added jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This growth is expected to continue. Since solar-related jobs have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Protect the environment

Solar is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A normal domestic photovoltaic panel system will eliminate three to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are very important parts of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line results. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding businesses that decide to operate responsibly. Organisations are finding that "green" qualifications are a powerful driver of customer getting choices, developing goodwill and enhancing company results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Numerous house owners decide to fund their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This implies that a third-party business-- the solar supplier-- owns the planetary system and takes care of installation, maintenance, tracking and repair works. You just pay the solar service provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility companies are well-known for their changing and undependable electricity rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and easy mathematics, we can determine how much electricity will be produced, and most importantly, at what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

Global Warming?
Not Saying That I Disagree With The Concept Of Global Warming But: If The Earth, This Force That We Have Been Living On Has Been Around For Millions And Millions Of Years, Is It Logical To Believe That We Can Destroy It In Just About 200 Years? Just Wondering. I Know I'M Going To Get Stupid Responses But Just A Few Intelligent Ones Too Please.

I think it's POSSIBLE. Likely? Maybe not. But it COULD happen.

My opinion on global warming? The earth goes through cycles. It gets hot for a while, then we have an ice age, then hot again, etc, over millions and millions of years. Right now, I think it's just getting hotter.

That doesn't mean that I don't give a crap about emissions and the ozone layer and burning fossil fuels and stuff. I'm all for buying a hybrid vehicle and getting solar panels on my roof. But I'm not sure if what we're doing is the ONLY cause for the rise in temperature lately.

Is This A Good Time To Buy Pv Solar Panels?
I Believe The Uk Government Is In Court Where It Is Being Decided Whether Their Decision To Drop The 43P Feed In Tariff To 21P Was Legal. It Could Be Be A Good Time To Buy At Discounted Rates Especially If The 43P Tariff Is Reinstated. Or Are The Suppliers Simply Trying To Get The Best Price For The Stock They Bought, Knowing That The Value Will Fall If The Government Wins Their Case And The 21P Tariff Stays. What Are The Chances Of The Win For The Government? Thanks

The thing about technology is that better models are always just a few months away. Yes you may be able to get discount prices now but if there's a 5% increase in efficiency over the next year than over the life of the panels, that would be a lot more. Of course with PV panels, it takes a long time for products to get to market, current commercially available PV panels are about 15% efficient while the laboratory record has been 42.8% for quite some time now and 65% panels have been on the drawing panel for some time as well. We'll probably see PV panels of 28% efficiency soon. It's a big guessing game as to when it's best to purchase PV panels. I think the government's position is driven more by economics then by what's fair, and there will be a limit as to how much blood you can squeeze from a turnip until the economy changes.

Can I Just Leave The Solar Panel Connected To The Car Battery?
I Recently Acquired A Solar Panel And Charge Regulator. I Was Hoping To Use While At This Week Long Camping/Music Festival Thing In The Summer. My Friends Always Kill Their Batteries Charging Their Phones And Such. I Was Planning On Connecting The Panel And Regulator To The Battery With Alligator Clips. Can I Just Leave It Connected All Week? Would It Damage Anything?

Check the specifications on the regulator to make sure it will block current from flowing backwards from your battery. You do not want to discharge the battery at night time. You can also check this by placing a 100 ohm resistor in series with one of the leads to the battery and throw a towel over the solar panel and see if there is a DC voltage across the resistor. If not remove the resistor and reconnect the lead to the battery, your solar charger should work fine.

Make sure your solar panel and regulator are large enough recharge your battery during the day light hours. Estimate the watt-hours of use per day you expect from all of your equipment and then divide this number of watt-hours by say 8 hours of good sun light to come up with number of watts you need to size your system.

Energy Con Questions For Discussion Argument?
So For Our Physics, We Had An Idea Of What Type Of Energy Would Be Best. Solar(Me), Biofuels Geothermal Wind Hydro Coal Synthetic Fuel Nuclear ---------The Thing I Need More Help On Is Good Questions That Be Used To Attack Other Energies . I Have My Own But Why Only My Questions When There Are More People Who Can Also Have Great Ideas As Con Questions ---------But Please Also Help Me On A Few Con Questions About Solar I Thought A Good One -Like A City In New York Energy Is Used A Lot More Than Any City In Us How Can You Supply With A Lot Of Enrgy For The Whole City/ State Wwhen It Will Requires Thousands Of Plate (Solar) And Little Space? I'M Still Struggling To Find A Good Solid Answer. ---------Don'T They Have Buildings With Solar Panels As Windows That Help With Energy?

with regards to solar energy, you are forgetting another type of solar energy which is passive, not active like photo voltaic cells, or PVC. passive solar can be used to reduce the energy demand for cooling/heating in buildings. all passive solar does is block the sun in specific ways that allows more sunlight in the winter and less during the summer. it is old technology that is not receiving the type of attention it deserves, and at this point, really requires. i would use this as a counter argument. ( I think solar will be a big chunk of our energy pie chart in the future, as well as other important sources)

--what are the costs of running on Hydro power in places such as Australia or places that do not have reliable water or live near the ocean? Is it efficient enough to be done on a global scale?

--coal is out of the question due to environmental factors

--Are biofuels really the answer when agriculture is one of the most fossil fuel intensive industries in America? can Organic biofuel be enough to power the State's demand for energy? what effects will this have on growing food and imports from other countries?

--Is wind technology up to date with other innovations to capture wind energy? ie turbines being inefficient and unimaginative. are wind farms pleasant to look at? (I think they look cool but others disagree) what effect do they have on bird migratory patterns?

--How much Uranium 235 would be required to power the world's energy demand? How can we know for certain that the building of multiple nuclear power plants will not be done half-heartedly? (will meltdowns and "accidents" be more common?) what are the effects of a nuclear meltdown?

--What types of Geothermal energy are there if not all places have geothermal hotspots? how can passive geothermal be used to make/conserve energy?

good luck!
