What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c unit, washing clothes, watching TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are significant, many property owners find that the convenience, special functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are even more attractive.

Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically decrease or even remove your electrical bills

Whether you're a homeowner, company, or nonprofit, electrical power expenses can make up a large part of your month-to-month costs. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will minimize your energy costs and you'll still conserve a lot of cash.

#2 Make a fantastic return on your financial investment

Solar panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the very best ways to invest, with returns matching those of more standard investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electricity bill savings, the average American homeowner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure versus increasing energy costs

One of the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge utility rates. In the past 10 years, domestic electrical power rates have gone up by an average of 3 percent each year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and safeguard versus unpredictable boosts in electrical power expenses. If you're a business or homeowner with ever-changing capital, going solar also helps you much better forecast and handle your expenses.

#4 Boost your residential or commercial property value

Multiple research studies have actually found that houses geared up with solar energy systems have greater home values and offer faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more educated about solar, need for properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key part of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electrical energy from the sun, we can likewise insulate our country from rate variations in international energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market added jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Since solar-related jobs tend to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial factor to the United States economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a fantastic method to reduce your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A common property solar panel system will remove 3 to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are very important parts of an organization's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Significantly, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding companies that decide to operate properly. Businesses are discovering that "green" credentials are a powerful chauffeur of customer getting decisions, developing goodwill and improving service outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no cash down.

Lots of homeowners decide to fund their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding choices. This suggests that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and takes care of installation, maintenance, monitoring and repair works. You just pay the solar provider for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy business are infamous for their changing and undependable electrical power rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and basic mathematics, we can calculate just how much electrical power will be created, and most importantly, at exactly what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Germany/European Energy Use Plans?
Germany And Much Of Northern Europe Uses 50% Less Energy Per Unit Of Gdp Output Versus The Usa. Why Does Germany/Northern Europe Use So Much Less Energy While Achieving The Same Economic Results. Also Germany And Northern Europe Is In The Middle Of A Renewable Energy Boom With Plans To Store Excess Energy Producing Hydrogen As A Storage Medium So Not Only Is Northern Europe Using Much Less Energy And Producing Large Quantities Of Renewable Energy But Now Have A Way To Store The Excess Energy As Hydrogen. Why Is Northern Europe Diverging Away From The Usa Concerning Energy Use? Study After Study Indicates America Is Spending Around $16.00 Per Gallon Of Gasoline When Including Health Problems, Trade Deficits, Oil Wars,Etc. So The Old Argument Of Affordable Energy Does Not Fly And Is A Great Reason Why The Inflation Rate Has Been Much Higher In The Usa Vs Germany/Northern Europe Since The 1970'S.

Europe is by far the leader in implementing alternative energies. They lead the world in biomass facilities, offshore wind farms, and solar energy use.

Europe also has many "eco villages" that have sprouted up.

For example, in Germany’s black forest, the community of Freiamt relies on roof-mounted photovoltaic systems, wind generators, biogas, rape seed oil, wood chips, and other renewable sources to make their small region self-sufficient in regards to energy production.

What is holding America back from implementing similar energy strategies?

One thing that Europe has that America does not is a comprehensive, centralized energy policy that streamlines the process. Right now, America has no comprehensive national energy plan.

But, hopefully after the Cape Wind Project is fully implemented (it will be the largest offshore wind farm on the planet), America will have the template it needs to construct a national energy plan.

Another thing is public support. There seems to be more eco minded people in Europe than there are in the US. Hopefully that will change in the coming years.

Can Solar Energy Boil Water?
Hi ! I Read A Book Explaining How The Solar Energy Works ! One Part Explained About Heating Water : &Quot;Another Use Of Sunlight Is As A Source For Heating Water As Well As For Heating Homes . In This Case , Solar Collectors Are Used . Unlike Photovoltaic Cells, The Solar Collectors Do Not Produce Electric Energy . The Maximum Temperature A Solar Collector Can Reach When Used To Heat A House Or Simply Boil Water Is 180 F (82 C) .&Quot; So Water Boils In 100 C , How Can The 82 C Solar Heat Boil Water ? Thanks !

Yes it can. I have a solar hot water heater on my roof. It has Relief valves to keep the water from boiling.

Your statement about the Maximum temperature is only true if the Relief Valves are working. If you tie them down the water will boil. I had live steam coming out the overflow on one occasion. I had to replace one of the safety valves.

I also have 12 Solar Panels producing Electricity. I don't pay anything for power.

I Need Help On How To Insulate My Garage Door And How Can I Save Money On Energy?
I Already Have Polyethylene Panel That Is Covered With A Foil On The Door But There Is A Space Between The Garage Door And The Wall Right Behind The Metal Railing If You Know What Im Talking About Is There Anyway To Seal This And Is There Anyway To Have Solar Panels That Are Not On Your Roof Because I Have A Lot Of Trees Over My House And I Was Wondering If I Can Put Them In My Front Yard And If Not How Well Do Windmills Work

For your garage door, do you mean the main door where you pull cars in and out or just like a side door? It's tough to answer that without actually seeing what you mean.

For the solar panels, I don't see any reason why you couldn't have them in your front yard as long as the sun is hitting them. You will just have to run the wiring a little further than if they were on your roof and the setup will be slightly different.

Windmills work well assuming you get a good amount of wind. You don't need strong gusts all the time, as long as you have enough to make them spin. To get the most out of your renewable energy, it's good to have solar and wind power so when it's not sunny you have a backup and vice versa.

You face the decision though of buying a windmill or making one yourself. They can be very expensive to buy and have someone install for you so if you're trying to save money I would recommend building your own. I made 3 of them for my house and they are working out nicely. It's really not that hard to do if you're following a good set of windmill plans. If you want to learn more about making a windmill, I setup a little blog about how I did it, you can get there through the link in the resource box.

Hope this helped :)

Since Solar Panels Turn Sunshine Into Electricity Does That Mean They Get Colder Than The Surrounding Ground?

Versus black ground, yes.

Versus white ground, no.

The solar energy is neither heat nor electricity. Either the ground or the solar panel converts it. The solar panel converts some energy to electricity, therefore not all the energy is available to convert to heat. It's not that the solar panel converts heat to electricity, it's that there is less energy converted to heat in the first place. Also, inefficiency isn't an argument. Unless the solar panel's electric components are 100% inefficient, which would render it useless, then some amount of energy does not go to heat.

But of course the ground is not required to convert 100% of the solar energy to heat either. White ground will reflect a lot of it. Since solar panels are dark blue-green in color, they are not reflecting much.

How Much More Efficient Is A Plug In Evs In Relation To Co2 Emissions Versus A Regular Car?
Plug In Evs Still Create Emissions, But They Do So By Increasing Electricity Required From The Plant. Considering That Many Plants Are Coal Fired, How Much Less Do Evs Polute Overall Vs. Combusion Cars?

EV = electric vehcile, HEV = hybrid, ICE = internal combustion engine.

"EVs reduce CO2 by 11%-100% compared with ICEs and by 24%-54% compared with HEVs, and significantly reduce all other greenhouse gas emissions, using the U.S. grid
mix. If all U.S. cars were EVs, we’d reduce global warming emissions. Using electricity strictly from coal, EVs still would reduce CO2 by 0%-59% compared with ICEs (one analysis found 0% change; six others found reductions of 17%-59%) and might produce 30%-49% more CO2 than HEVs (based on only two analyses). On the other hand, if electricity comes from solar or wind power, EVs eliminate all emissions. Using natural gas to make electricity, emissions fall in between those from coal and renewable power."

Basically because electric engines are so efficient, they drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions even if they get their energy from coal-burning power plants.
