What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for house owners to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioner, cleaning clothes, watching TV, cooking supper. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are substantial, many home owners find that the benefit, special functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more enticing.

Top 10 Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically lower or perhaps eliminate your electric expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, service, or nonprofit, electrical power costs can make up a large portion of your regular monthly costs. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your utility costs and you'll still save a great deal of loan.

#2 Make a great return on your financial investment

Solar panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the finest methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electricity costs savings, the average American house owner settles their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard against increasing energy costs

Among the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge energy rates. In the previous ten years, property electrical energy rates have actually gone up by an average of 3 percent every year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical energy rate and safeguard against unpredictable boosts in electricity expenses. If you're a company or homeowner with fluctuating cash flow, going solar also assists you better projection and handle your costs.

#4 Boost your home worth

Numerous studies have discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property values and offer faster than non-solar houses. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, need for properties geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential part of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to create electricity from the sun, we can likewise insulate our country from price changes in global energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar market added tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial factor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is an excellent way to minimize your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A normal domestic photovoltaic panel system will get rid of 3 to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are essential elements of a company's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line results. Increasingly, customers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding organisations that pick to operate properly. Services are discovering that "green" qualifications are an effective driver of customer purchasing decisions, producing goodwill and improving organisation results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Lots of property owners opt to finance their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding choices. This indicates that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the planetary system and takes care of setup, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You merely pay the solar service provider for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility business are notorious for their varying and undependable electricity costs. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and easy mathematics, we can calculate what does it cost? electricity will be created, and most notably, at exactly what rate, for a minimum of the next 20 years (repaired energy expenses).

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Aren'T We Using Solar/Wind/Geo-Thermal Energy???
Why The Heck Aren'T We (We As In Everybody) Using Solar Energy If There'S Global Warming??? Or Some Wind Power, Even Though Its Not As Effective, Or How About Geo-Thermal??? It So Stupid!! Europe Is Starting To Use Alternative Energy, And Yet America Is Still Drilling For Oil And Polluting The Earth, When Its Soooo Obvious To Use Some Other Type Of Energy, And Yet They'Re So Concered About The Money They'Re Getting From The Oil, They Don'T Care That Very Very Soon The Earth Will Be Hopeless, And It'Ll Be Too Late To Make The Transition To Solar. If The Sun Is Heating The Earth, Why Aren'T We Using Solar??? It Makes Me Soooo Angry!!! And China Is Sending Out Plenty Of Fumes, Same With Russia, Same With America. Is There Any Way To Get This Message Through Our World Leaders Minds?

We are not using them because they are not efficient enough yet. Solar panels are still only 40% efficient at BEST sorry but the return on the cost is just not high enough. Wind power is getting used more and more often it's just not wide spread yet because not all areas are windy enough for it to be used. Geo-thermal really has no excuse because almost anyplace can use the benefits of Geo-thermal, but not Geo-thermal Energy production. Simply Geo-thermal energy use like Ground-source heat-pumps.

The biggest problem is that we have such a large demand for energy that all of these "alternative" sources are not far enough along in their development to meet our current demands. Sad to say but the cleanest source of energy that can meet those demands right now is NUCLEAR.

Solar is not the End all and Be all of clean energy. Do some research into what it actually costs to produce a solar panel. Find out what it is made of and how it is made. you will find out why solar panels are sooo expensive and why they are not in wide-spread use.

How Do The Solar Panels And Batteries Work Together In A Solar Vehicle?
I Have This Question And I Researched It And Everything... My Theories Are A Little Bit Confused Help Please??

Without the batteries, it wouldn't work. As soon as you drove into some shade, the motor would stop and you would be stuck. The battery stores energy so you can keep moving when your do drive into shade, until you reach a sunny area again, and the battery can be recharged.

Energy Resources In Africa?
I'M Doing A Project About The African Savanna And I Have To Build A Eco-Friendly House There. What Energy Resources Would The House Use? I Was Thinking Maybe Solar, Geothermal, And I Need Some More Thanks In Advance!

Not if cost is a concern.

Most of the houses in Africa in that region never needed any of those. Grass, wattle, wood were the building materials of choice. The cost of living versus what you could do for income limit your choices of building materials to what you can harvest. Since they do not have time to play video games, electricity is pretty much nonexistent.

Wood is the preeminent fuel, and dried animal dung.

I may seem a bit cheeky about this, but to adopt a colonialist attitude that what you want and desire for a home is universal to everyone just does not work. This is not to say that some community buildings could not be of great benefit; such a structure used for a school or clinic could be more effective with solar and wind power for lighting at night, but your primary sources of fuel for cooking are still wood and dried dung, and maybe some fuel for a generator if they are lucky enough to have one.

While some areas of Africa are as modern as parts of Europe- those areas are rather small and limited to larger cities where there is infrastructure to support it. The vastness of the contrinent where a great many people live including the area you mention there is no infrastructure, and likely will not be any. Most farming is done with people power and animal power because there is not a great deal of money or opportunity. The industrial west and the world's monetary institutions have done a great deal to push the countries of Africa into market economies to the detriment of those countries.

In complete honesty- the UN has published many books on the poverty of Africa. The UN also tries to attribute a great deal of the unrest in many African countries to the existence of "small arms" or firearms. Yet they fail to acknowledge the real issue is the economic manipulations of the banks, and colonial powers that held onto Africa and some still do. Africa is in the condition it is larely due to the cultivated dependence on the west, tribalism, religious differences, and a lack of an ability for those countries to develop their own resources for their own use.

I gloss over a great deal but you can learn a great deal about what is practical in Africa or other countries by spending some time looking at the publications that the UN has produced along with the history of colonialsim, which once you begin to understand it, you can see why Marxism and dictatorships became more the rule than the exception there.

What Colors Should Tubes Be For A Solar Water Heating System?
Solar Energy Can Be Used To Heat Water For A Pool By Running Water Through A Series Of Pipes Or Tubes. What Colour Should The Pipes Be? What Other Features Should This System Have To Improve Its Efficiency?

You should create a form of greenhouse situation around your pipes (which should be matte black) so to trap any radiant heat from those pipes. By creating an enclosed atmosphere with the glass, you can contain nearly all heat and thus be extremely efficient when heating your pool water.

Would The Solar Energy Concentrated Be Converted 100% To Heat Energy?
I Would Like To Know If I Have A Black Metal Can And Put Water In It And If I Concentrate Sunlight To It. Say, If There Is 1Kw/M^2 Of Sunlight, Then If I Concentrate 1 Square Meter Of Sunlight To The Black Metal Can. Would The Solar Energy Concentrated Be Converted 100% To Heat Energy? Meaning I Would Have 1Kw Of Heat Energy Getting Into The Metal Can? If Not, What Are The Normal Values?

I cannot tell you what the "normal values" might be, but we live on solar power and use the sun to heat our water for our outdoor shower. The 1 kw/m that you quote is the absolute ideal for measuring insolation, or the amount of solar energy which reaches us under perfect conditions. It basically refers to the amount of light, and not necessarily heat, which we can use to extract solar electricity from.
For instance, it is understandable that the same amount of light can strike almost anywhere on earth that the sun shines. But if you are inside the tropics, there will be a lot more heat than if you are in northern Canada for example.
We use a 30 gallon black container to store and heat our water in. We do not try to concentrate the heat in any way.
If you were to concentrate the heat in some fashion, by re-directing some of the light with mirrors for example, you can in fact boil water just using the power of the sun.
Even something as simple as a black garden hose can get to be scalding hot if left in the sun all day.
There is a substantial portion of the suns' energy which will be reflected away from your container. If you place your container within a glazed enclosure with the non glazed sides insulated, similar to what is known as a bread box, then you will find that your water will get far hotter.
