About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for property owner to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioner, cleaning clothing, viewing TV, cooking dinner. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are substantial, numerous property owners find that the convenience, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more enticing.
Top Ten Benefits of Solar Energy
#1 Considerably lower or even eliminate your electric costs
Whether you're a homeowner, organization, or nonprofit, electrical energy expenses can comprise a large part of your monthly expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll generate complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will minimize your energy costs and you'll still save a lot of money.
#2 Make a great return on your investment
Solar panels aren't an expenditure-- they're one of the very best methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical power expense savings, the typical American property owner settles their photovoltaic panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Safeguard against rising energy expenses
One of the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge energy rates. In the past 10 years, residential electricity rates have gone up by approximately three percent each year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and secure versus unpredictable increases in electricity expenses. If you're a service or homeowner with rising and falling cash flow, going solar also helps you much better projection and manage your expenses.
#4 Boost your home value
Multiple research studies have actually discovered that homes geared up with solar energy systems have higher home values and sell more quickly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more informed about solar, demand for homes geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of attaining energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to generate electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from price variations in global energy markets.
#6 Develop jobs and help your regional economy
According to The Solar Foundation, the solar industry included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is expected to continue. Because solar-related tasks tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a significant contributor to the United States economy.
#7 Secure the environment
Solar is a terrific method to minimize your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly decrease that number. A normal residential solar panel system will remove three to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees each year.
#8 Show your dedication to sustainability
Sustainability and corporate social obligation are essential elements of a company's culture and worths. They also produce bottom line results. Significantly, customers and communities are recognizing and rewarding organisations that decide to run properly. Companies are discovering that "green" credentials are a powerful chauffeur of consumer purchasing choices, producing goodwill and improving service results.
#9 Start Conserving from Day 1
Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no money down.
Numerous house owners choose to finance their photovoltaic panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This suggests that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repair works. You just pay the solar service provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility business.
Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Investment
The energy business are notorious for their varying and undependable electrical power prices. There is clearly an upward pattern.
With photovoltaic panels and easy mathematics, we can determine just how much electrical power will be produced, and most importantly, at exactly what rate, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy expenses).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month
- System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
- Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- We own the solar panel system
- $0 down for installation
- Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use
- Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
- System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
- Receive 30% federal tax credit
- See a return on investment within 7-10 years
What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?
We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.
What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Are The Upcoming Technologies In Solar Energy Conservation.?
Adivise Some Solar Technlogies For Buildings Like A Campus Dining Or A Commercial Building.
I know of one very exciting upcoming technology: Thin Film Photovoltaics
Regular, crystalline solar panels require silicon crystals. As a result, there is a limit to how cheaply they can be made. You can only cut manufacturing costs on regular solar panels by so much. And right now, even at full production, they aren't cost effective without government subsidies. But thin film panels don't require crystals. They are still expensive, because they are new and not yet at full production. But they hold a LOT of promise for bringing the price of solar PV down to being competitive with other traditional fuels.
Who Advocates For Wind Power To Be Used?
I Neeeed To Know Who Are Some Major People Or Orginazations Or Whatever That Encourage And Advocate Wind Energy Usage/ Wind Power???
It has its' place but is noisy and not overly efficient. I advocate less greed in the use of power. Here in england they are forcing us to be greener yet the big city companies leave thousands of watts of lighting burning day and night. We will never meet the requirements of the whole world at the levels we use power now so must reduce what we all use then provide as much of our power from the most reliable and least toxic sources.
Gas turbines are the best we have at the moment for efficiency vs pollution so we need to be generating gas from waste and using that as primary source where possible then supplementing with wind, wave, solar geothermal and any other technology we can find but not nuclear until the science can deal with the waste.
I will repeat my call for reduction of energy use as the only long term solution.

Why Dont We Use Hydrogen. I Know That It Costs Energy To Get They Hydrogen, But Then Shouldnt We Us Solar Energy To Get The Hydrogen?
Even if we used solar energy for electrolysis to break the atomic bonds in water molecules to get hydrogen, it would still be a waste.
It takes a ton of energy to break atomic bonds. More energy than you can get out by burning the hydrogen for fuel, so overall you have a net loss of energy. Even if that weren't a problem, there's no hydrogen infrastructure (transport and storage for hydrogen refueling). Building this infrastructure would cost billions of dollars.
Instead you could power a car directly with the solar energy by using it to charge up a battery and run an electric motor. This is a far more efficient process, and the infrastructure (power grid) is already in place. Electric cars are the way of the future.
