About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for house owners to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning system, cleaning clothing, enjoying TV, cooking dinner. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are significant, lots of home owners find that the convenience, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more alluring.
Leading Advantages of Solar Energy
#1 Significantly lower or even eliminate your electric costs
Whether you're a house owner, service, or not-for-profit, electricity expenses can make up a large part of your month-to-month expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will decrease your energy bills and you'll still save a great deal of loan.
#2 Make a fantastic return on your financial investment
Photovoltaic panels aren't an expense-- they are among the very best ways to invest, with returns matching those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical energy expense cost savings, the typical American house owner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Protect against rising energy expenses
One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge energy prices. In the past 10 years, domestic electricity rates have actually increased by approximately 3 percent yearly. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and secure versus unpredictable boosts in electrical energy costs. If you're an organisation or homeowner with ever-changing capital, going solar likewise assists you much better projection and handle your expenses.
#4 Boost your house value
Numerous studies have actually discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have higher property worths and sell more quickly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more educated about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties equipped with solar panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Increase U.S. energy independence
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of attaining energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electrical power from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from rate variations in worldwide energy markets.
#6 Develop jobs and assist your local economy
Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar market included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related jobs have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant contributor to the U.S. economy.
#7 Secure the environment
Solar is a fantastic method to lower your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can significantly reduce that number. A normal property photovoltaic panel system will eliminate 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.
#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability
Sustainability and corporate social duty are essential components of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Significantly, consumers and communities are recognizing and rewarding organisations that opt to run responsibly. Businesses are discovering that "green" credentials are a powerful driver of customer getting choices, developing goodwill and enhancing service outcomes.
#9 Start Saving from Day 1
Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no cash down.
Numerous homeowners decide to finance their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing alternatives. This means that a third-party company-- the solar provider-- owns the planetary system and takes care of installation, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar company for electricity-- less than you would've paid the energy company.
Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment
The energy companies are infamous for their changing and undependable electrical energy prices. There is clearly an upward trend.
With photovoltaic panels and easy mathematics, we can determine what does it cost? electricity will be generated, and most importantly, at what price, for at least the next Twenty Years (fixed energy expenses).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month

What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Are The Pros And Cons Of Solar Energy?
There are two basic kinds of devices currently in commercial use to capture solar energy.
One device captures solar energy as heat. The most common device is designed to heat water.
The other device converts solar energy to electricity. That device is known as a solar photovoltaic cell.
The device that heats water is very inexpensive, produces no greenouse gases, and has a very low capital cost.
The solar photovoltaic system has the advantage that it produces electricity, and produces no greenhouse gases..
The disadvantages are very high capital costs, and substantial maintenance costs.
Over forty years ago an inventor named Ovshinsky claimed that he would develop an "amorphous system" for solar photovoltaic cells which would be much cheaper than using crystalline silicon in the solar photovoltaic cells.
Mr. Ovshinsky persuaded a large number of environmentalists to invest in his technology. The only problem was that Mr. Ovshinsky was never able to make his technology work.
The people who invested millions of dollars with Mr. Ovshinsky lost all of their money.
Finally we are promised that there is a new technology that does not rely on crystalline silicon for the solar photovoltaic cells and this material will be much cheaper.
I hope the story about the solar photovoltaic cells that do not require crystalline silicon is correct this time.
I am sick and tired of having my hopes raised by all these promises of fantastic new technology that will be widely available in a few short years only to have my hopes dashed again and again.
Curiously Speaking, Are There People Here Who Follow Wicca...?
And Practice Witchcraft?
To Be Honest, I Never Knew People Really Practice Witchcraft - I Just Thought It Was In Movies And Books.
If You Do Practice It, What Stuff Do You Do? I'M Just Wondering, This Is All New To Me.
I'm a Wiccan High Priestess and legally ordained minister. I lead a coven in the Minneapolis area. Thanks for asking this open-minded question! The first thing you should know about Wicca is that it is a religion. It has all of the components that any valid religion offers, including communion with the Divine, spiritual community, regular and meaningful religious ritual, spiritual counseling, rites of passage such as weddings, funerals and coming of age rituals, crisis interventions and assistance, volunteerism, and social interaction. There are many thousands of us. My Tradition alone (called Blue Star Wicca) has thousands in the US, Canada, and the UK.
Wicca is a modern Neo-Pagan reconstruction of some ancient European religious practices with some modern ideas thrown in. It was brought to the public eye and developed in the 1930's by Gerald Gardner, who later spread the early form of the religion in the 1950's or thereabouts. Many others have contributed to the religion since then, including Alex Sanders, Doreen Valiente, Sybil Leek, Raymond Buckland, Starhawk, Z Budapest, and others.
Wicca teaches that the breath of the Divine is in all Nature and that by communing with Nature, we learn about the Divine and about the cycle of Life, which is holy. Wiccans experience the Divine as expressed in the polarity of masculine and feminine energies, which are personified in the constructs of a God and Goddess. Wicca teaches that male and female are equal and that life is for living. We do not accept the idea of original "sin," nor do we accept that "good" and "evil" are in opposition to one another as is taught in the Abrahamic Traditions. We understand the Universe as a balanced equation that contains both dark and light. Dark is not necessarily evil, either, nor is Light always good.
Wiccans celebrate the Quarters and Cross-Quarters of the Solar Year, called the Sabbats. The Sabbats acknowledge and connect us with the cycle of birth, growth, maturity, decline, and death that is inherent in all Life on Earth. We also celebrate the 26 Esbats, or new and full moons.
Wicca is passed from initiated teacher to student in 3 levels of initiation. There are different "Traditions" in Wicca, but they are all similar as they all come from the same "seed," if you will. Wicca 101 books that are available now teach only the first few weeks of instruction that real covens teach. There is a growing misconception that Wicca is a self-taught religion because of the plethora of books on the market. Those who learn only from books don't practice anything that resembles real Wicca. It is disclosed in person by those who are authorized to do so.
Traditional Wicca does include instruction on spell work and energetic manipulation. However, Wicca isn't about spells and real Wiccans don't often do spells. We know how to do them and will use our abilities when necessary. However, we define magic as the sending forth of the will into the ether to cause change. So prayers would fall under our definition of "magic." Yes, spell work, properly done, causes change. I've seen it in an irrefutable way. However, those who don't have the training to do spell work cannot buy a book and say an incantation and expect the spell to work. The power is in the focus and the training. Without it, it's nothing.
Wiccans practice their rituals in "circles," which are energetic temples that we build for our purposes, often outside in nature. We create and dismantle our temples for our purposes, leaving nothing behind except the love that we bring to one another and the Gods. We do not practice blood rites, orgies, or other questionable activities in our circles, as has been insinuated by those who desire to besmirch our religion due to their fear and intolerance.
How Will Using Electricity As Our Form Of Energy Effect The Environment?
Every Energy We Used So Far, Like Coal And Gasoline, Has Effected The Balance Of Earth. Do You Think Electricity (Solar, Waves, Or Sun) Will Affect The Balance Of Earth? We Are Always Taking Energy From Somewhere The Balance Must Be Neutral.
Maybe Water Currents Slow Greatly, Or Wind Will Increase As A Responds, Or Sun Heat Will Be Greatly Absorb Allowing Low Temperatures. Call Me Crazy It Just Seems No Way To Cheat Nature.
Electricity is a natural force and nature is a very large and powerful force as can be seen in lightning.
There is more than enough natural forces solar, waves and the sun for us all to live very comfortably off...
A large part of renewable energy construction is the estimation of the local environmental impacts...
Large Hydros and dams often destroy the local river and environment.
How ever micro hydros dont affect the local environment...
You are right in a sense but I doubt winds will increase at all even noticibly, or decrease, as a result of us harnessing a bit of it
Same with dams, same with solar......
Also there are always health issues around electricity and E.M.F forces from electricity... This can have a range of effects and reactions.
It is estimated 5% of the population are allergic to E.M.F forces.
It is all just a political ball game and no-one wants to admit how much of a precious source electricity actually is and our age of abundance of oil is over....
Does Anyone Know Any Advantages To Solar Energy Other Then It Saves You Money And It Is Good For The Earth?
This Is For A Science Paper So If You Could Explain Or Give A Website To Find More Info To Add On To It Would Be Great
right now the main source of energy on earth is fossil fuel
but how long can we burn fossil fuel?? 100 years?? 200 years??
fossil fuel will run out some day and you'll be forced to change your energy source such as hydro, solar, tidal, thermal...etc
solar is useful when it's day time because all you have to do is harvest the solar radiation waves which have been giving out by earth every second
no more machines are needed to convert the radiation into energy beside the solar panel, cable and an adaptor or power pack to store the energy been converted
this combination does not produce CO2, excess radiation or weird product
How Much Of Solar Energy Is Available?
I Am Doing A Report On Solar Energy And Need A Little Help.
If You Could Leave Me The Website You Got The Answer From That Would Be Great!! Thanks For Your Help!! :0P
Heres the answer:
The sun gives off enough solar energy in one day to provide energy for a country the size of the U.S for three years. Unfortunately, it is impracticle and we do not have a way to harness all that power.
Incredible power source right!!
