What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to use the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c unit, cleaning clothes, viewing TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are considerable, lots of property owners discover that the convenience, distinct features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more enticing.

Leading Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically lower and even remove your electric bills

Whether you're a house owner, business, or not-for-profit, electrical energy expenses can make up a big portion of your month-to-month expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will reduce your utility bills and you'll still conserve a great deal of loan.

#2 Make a terrific return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the best methods to invest, with returns rivaling those of more traditional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electrical power costs cost savings, the typical American property owner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect against rising energy costs

One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge energy rates. In the past 10 years, residential electrical power rates have actually gone up by approximately 3 percent yearly. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and safeguard against unforeseeable boosts in electrical energy costs. If you're a business or property owner with fluctuating cash circulation, going solar likewise assists you better forecast and handle your expenditures.

#4 Boost your house value

Multiple studies have actually discovered that homes geared up with solar energy systems have higher property values and offer more quickly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar installations into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more educated about solar, need for homes geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of attaining energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to generate electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from rate fluctuations in global energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar industry included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Since solar-related tasks have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial factor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a terrific way to decrease your carbon footprint. Buildings are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A normal residential solar panel system will get rid of 3 to four heaps of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are essential elements of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, customers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding organisations that choose to run responsibly. Services are finding that "green" credentials are a powerful chauffeur of consumer buying choices, creating goodwill and enhancing company outcomes.

#9 Start Conserving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Numerous homeowners select to fund their solar panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This implies that a third-party company-- the solar company-- owns the planetary system and takes care of installation, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You merely pay the solar supplier for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility business are infamous for their changing and unreliable electrical energy prices. There is clearly an upward trend.

With solar panels and easy mathematics, we can compute how much electrical energy will be produced, and most importantly, at what cost, for a minimum of the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).

Financing

Frequently Asked Questions

Solar Energy...............................................??????????????
Hi, So Im Doing A Project About Solar Energy, And There Is A Question That Asks: Does This Energy Contribute A Significant Amount Of Energy To The Country Or Region? This Could Be Measured Either As A Raw Amount Or As A Percentage Of The Total Produced/Consumed. Would It Be Possible To Significantly Expand This? If So, Do You Think This Is Not Being Done Due To Environmental Or Human Ingenuity Reasons? If Not, Why Isnt It Possible To Expand The Amount Of Energy Produced? Ummm.... What????? Could You Explain (Or Answer The Question ;)) Better For Me Please? Like, Much Simpler. What Country Is It Talking About?? Or Region?? And What Would You Write Down?

The country and region are probably the ones you live.

She/he basically wants to know how much 'solar energy is produced vs. total energy produced (the demand for energy) and is asking for you to draw a conclusion whether or not it is worth it and to explain why.

Alternatively, I could say the teacher is basically trying to convince everyone, in a slightly subtle (I know, I do that too, but with much more style), that solar energy is crap and we should just burn more oil. Earth has infinity amounts of it, right? The thing is, just using raw 'produced of type a vs. demand' data is a deceiving maneuver. I will tell you straight ahead, regardless where you live, the amount of solar energy is not that high compared to overall energy usage. However, there are dozens of other factors, such as the limited amount of oil (primary energy source) on Earth while the Sun is for all purposes infinity (we will all die long before it expires), pollution and its impacts, technology is relatively new (compared to oil based technology, at least) and so it will necessarily be less efficient for now and new developments are too expensive, and others.

Solar Energy Question?
How Much Solar Energy Is Produced, Can It Power A Car, House, Etc Please Answer I Will Choose Best Answer As Best Answer

154 megawatt power station will cost a total of A$420 million and will be built by Melbourne-based company Solar Systems, which says it will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 400,000 tonnes a year.

The plant will generate clean electricity directly from the sun to meet the needs of more than 45,000 homes with zero greenhouse gas emissions, the company said in a statement.

It will use high performance solar cells originally developed to power satellites, with fields of mirrors focusing sunlight on the cells. "Solar Systems has developed the capability to concentrate the sun by 500 times onto the solar cells for ultra-high power output,"

Can Any One Tell Me The Meaning Of A Word In This Sentence?
Attendees Heard About Possible Green Job Prospects From Stephen Rush, Who Makes Solar Arrays In Pulaski And Wants To Build Giant Car Ports With Them. The Link For The Article In Which The Sentence Was Taken From Is: Http://Wpln.Org/?P=11008 I Want To Know The Meaning Of &Quot;Car Ports&Quot; And What Is The Relation Between Building Giant Car Ports And Solar Arrays?

Well, my understanding is that instead of just building solar panels, the plan is to make them dual purpose by using them as car ports. That way, the cars are protected from the elements while the "car port" itself creates green energy.

Here's a picture of a basic carport in case you are not familiar with them:

I would imagine that the top and sides would be made of the solar panels (also known as photovoltaic cells, or solar arrays)

Renewable Energy Source?
How Was It Used In The Past?

Many types of renewable energy have been used for thousands of years. Solar energy is the source of most other types of energy that we use, including fossil fuels, hydropower, and wind. Solar energy drives the water cycle, filling rivers and lakes with water. Damns have been used to power water wheels and grind grain for thousands of years. The Greeks documented this hydropower as far back as 400 B.C. Almost all fossil fuels are the product of photosynthesis which relies on solar energy to drive the reaction that creates the hydrocarbons. When you are burning gasoline you are essentially burning stored solar energy. Wind power is driven by unequal heating of the earth by solar energy, forcing air to move in order to equalize this effect.

The use of passive solar heat by man has been around as long as man. Who hasn't laid in the sun to get warm? Use of passive solar in dwellings was documented by the Greeks in 400 B.C. as well. http://www.top-alternative-energy-source... The Romans built glasshouses to grow plants and warm their homes. The early Phoenicians used solar energy to dry grapes and make raisins. That process probably dates back to about 6000 B.C. http://www.sun-maid.com/en/healthyliving...

The first solar collector was built in the 1700's and was used to heat ammonia to power engines.
The first time the photoelectric effect was observed was by Edmond Becquerei, a physicist from France in 1839. This is the method used by some modern solar cells, although the larger modern industrial installations are still using technology that relates to the earlier method developed in 1767.

What Is Ocean Energy?Where Does It Come From?
Ocean Energy! Need To Know!

From the sun, basically. Waves are made by wind blowing across the surface, and winds happen because of differential pressures, usually because of solar heating, which is not uniform.

Ocean currents happen for the same reasons, but less obviously.
