What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c, washing clothes, viewing TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological benefits of solar power are significant, lots of residents find that the convenience, special features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are much more attractive.

Top Ten Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly lower and even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a house owner, business, or nonprofit, electrical energy expenses can make up a large portion of your month-to-month expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll create complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will lower your energy costs and you'll still conserve a lot of loan.

#2 Earn a terrific return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they are among the finest methods to invest, with returns rivaling those of more conventional financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical energy bill savings, the average American homeowner settles their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard against rising energy costs

Among the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge utility rates. In the previous ten years, property electrical energy rates have actually gone up by approximately three percent yearly. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical power rate and protect versus unforeseeable boosts in electrical energy costs. If you're a service or house owner with ever-changing money flow, going solar likewise helps you much better forecast and manage your expenses.

#4 Increase your house worth

Several research studies have discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have greater property worths and sell faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers become more informed about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential part of attaining energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to create electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost fluctuations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and help your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar industry included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a considerable contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a fantastic way to reduce your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical domestic solar panel system will eliminate three to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Demonstrate your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social obligation are important elements of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Progressively, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding businesses that pick to operate responsibly. Organisations are finding that "green" credentials are an effective chauffeur of consumer acquiring choices, producing goodwill and improving company outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.

Numerous homeowners opt to fund their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing options. This means that a third-party company-- the solar supplier-- owns the planetary system and looks after installation, upkeep, monitoring and repairs. You just pay the solar provider for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The utility business are notorious for their changing and unreliable electrical power costs. There is clearly an upward trend.

With solar panels and basic mathematics, we can compute what does it cost? electricity will be generated, and most significantly, at exactly what price, for at least the next 20 years (fixed energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

How Can Radiant Energy Be Used?
I Need It For A Science Report...

Radiant (electromagnetic) energy is used in many ways. First, its our primary source of energy in general, because the sun gives it off. Second, it is used in any sort of flashlight, lamp, etc. because its seen as visible light. Lastly, it can be transformed into other forms of energy using stuff like solar panels. Hope this helps.

How Will 12V, 28Ah/20Hr Deep Cycle Batts. Preform With A Solar Panel?
I'M A Electricity Novice Beginning To Dabble In Solar Power. I Have A Friend In The Health Care Industry Who Got The Above Mentioned Batteries Out Of Portable X-Ray Machines. They'Re Still Good, But Hosp. Regulation Says They Have To Be Changed, I.E. Thrown Out Regularly. My Plan Is To Place 10 Of These In Series To Power A Fish Pond Pump And Shop Tools. I Have A 175W Solar Panel With Over Charge Protection, And A 1500W Modified Sine Wave Inverter. This Will All Be Set Up Outside The House, But I Would Like To Know If Anyone Out There Thinks This Will Or Won'T Work, Or Will Catch Fire! Thanks In Advance!

You could certainly put together a functional system.

You would want to connect the batteries in parallel, not in series. Wiring batteries in series sums their voltage together, so you would end up with a 120v, 20Ah DC battery. Wiring them in parallel would give you a 12v, 200Ah battery (minus some losses). That's a lot of storage capacity. It depends how much you are using the system to power, but you may not need that much.

175W is a large panel. Do make sure to use a solar charge controller between the panel and the batteries. It will automatically maintain the charge without the batteries going over-voltage.

There are losses introduced when using an inverter to convert 12v DC to 120v AC. If possible, try to find loads that also use 12v DC so that you can power them from the battery bank (don't forget fuses or another type of over-current protection) without an inverter. You may need the inverter to power certain loads but whenever you can get by without it, you are better off, efficiency-wise.

The risk of fire or heat damage in a circuit comes from too much current for the components. Make sure to use large-gauge wiring to make connections and use the shortest-length wire necessary to minimize losses and voltage-drop. Make sure to use current protection such as fuses. A 1500w inverter uses a lot of current at full load--probably 150 amps or more, not counting start-up current from devices, which is quite a bit higher. Drawing batteries down too fast can damage them. You can use that large an inverter but try only to use a fraction of its capacity. If you are only using small 120v AC loads, use a smaller inverter. Large inverters have high current loss and cause needless battery drain.

Nuclear Energery Vs Solar Energy?
Dont You Think That We Should More Concentrate On Solar Energy Instead Of Nuclear Engery? As We Know That Nuclear Reactors Are Not Good And Safe For The Human Being And All Other Creatures. The Current Example We Can See In Japan Nuclear Disaster. Many People Have Been Suffering From Radiation.

Solar energy can indeed be a useful form of energy but there are limitations to it...only works during the day, limited areas where solar farms can be built, needs a storage medium, etc... and newer thin-cell technology, solar-thermal or multispectrum methods can bring the price per watt down to 1/3 to 1/10 of silicon based systems and being more in line with coal-fired prices.
Globally, the amount of energy produced from fossil fuels equals around 17 terawatts...trillion watts...per year. It will take a huge investment to eliminate all forms of fossil fuels and convert to clean fuels, solar, wind or nuclear.

"New World Record Achieved In Solar Cell Technology
ScienceDaily (Dec. 7, 2006) — U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Alexander Karsner has announced that with DOE funding, a concentrator solar cell produced by Boeing-Spectrolab has recently achieved a world-record conversion efficiency of 40.7 percent, establishing a new milestone in sunlight-to-electricity performance. This breakthrough may lead to systems with an installation cost of only $3 per watt, producing electricity at a cost of 8-10 cents per kilowatt-hour, making solar electricity a more cost-competitive and integral part of our nation's energy mix"

" Much Land to Power The Whole World with Solar?"

Nuclear energy from thorium can also be safe, cleaner and cheaper than current designs and fossil fuel plants...small mini-nuke plants can be buried in the ground and produce cheap power for decades with fewer concerns over safety, proliferation and wastes...thorium-based plants also mitigate concerns over wastes.

Japan's recent problems could have been avoided had they build the plants another 30-40 feet higher or had more robust backup systems..they did not properly consider past earthquake magnitudes and tsunami risks when designing the plants and backup systems. In the 2004 Sumatran earthquake/tsunami, India shut down it's nuclear plants and restarted with no problems.

Mini-nuke reactors...
"Development of Tiny Thorium Reactors Could Wean the World Off Oil In Just Five Years "

"Mini nuclear plants to power 20,000 homes£13m shed-size reactors will be delivered by lorry

"Nuclear power plants smaller than a garden shed and able to power 20,000 homes will be on sale within five years, say scientists at Los Alamos, the US government laboratory which developed the first atomic bomb.

The miniature reactors will be factory-sealed, contain no weapons-grade material, have no moving parts and will be nearly impossible to steal because they will be encased in concrete and buried underground.

The US government has licensed the technology to Hyperion, a New Mexico-based company which said last week that it has taken its first firm orders and plans to start mass production within five years. 'Our goal is to generate electricity for 10 cents a kilowatt hour anywhere in the world,' said John Deal, chief executive of Hyperion. 'They will cost approximately $25m [£16m] each. For a community with 10,000 households, that is a very affordable $2,500 per home.'

" Toshiba's Micro Nuclear reactors are designed to power a single apartment building or city block, and measure a mere 20-feet by 6-feet. The 200 kilowatt reactor is fully automatic and fail-safe, and is completely self-sustaining. It uses special liquid lithium-6 reservoirs instead of traditional control rods, and can last up to 40 years, making energy for about 5 cents per kilowatt hour."

Renewable Energy In The Us?
I Know That The Us Does Not Have A Renewable Energy Target (Where They Have To Use A Certain Percent Of Energy That Is Renewable) But I Have Been Told That 29 Of The 50 States Do. I Have Looked And Cannot Find Any Mention Of Which States These Are. Does Anyone Know? I Am Writing A Paper And Really Need This Information So Any Help Or Anyone Pointing Me In The Correct Direction Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

New Jersey has one:

New Jersey has one of the leading renewable energy portfolio standards in the United States, calling for the installation of over 2,000 MW of solar, 3,200 MW of wind, and 900 MW of biomass by 2020. New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program was created by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities in order to support progress towards the renewable portfolio goals and to help reduce energy use by 20% by 2020, which is the overarching target for the State of New Jersey’s Energy Master Plan

How Can Renewable Energy Benefit 3Rd World Countries?

They won't have to rely on other people to obtain the needed fuel for their energy such as those who depend on fossil fuel (i.e. needing to rely on the energy company who depend on the oil company who need to obtain that from an arab nation), they won't have to worry about prices going up and down, and it will keep their air, land, and water a little bit cleaner. In many cases it could be cheaper such as if they use wind power (it's actually quite easy to construct your own wind generator) and when you consider that oil is now at $100 a barrel. Coal is not only detrimental to our air, but also to our land and water as it needs to be mined or taken from mountaintops (look up mountain top removal and see how badly it is affecting the local communities around the Appalachians...).
It's not just the energy which will benefit them, being more earth friendly in general will benefit them greatly as it costs less money and is more resourceful. A few examples would be using a solar oven for cooking, using local resources such as straw and clay to make their homes with which is also better insulated and would therefore require less energy for heating and cooling, composting to make the land more fertile and to grow their own fruits and vegetables, and bio-filtration for their water supply as most 3rd world countries have limited and/or unhealthy water sources.
