About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to use the sun to power daily life: running your a/c, cleaning clothes, watching TV, cooking supper. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are substantial, lots of property owners find that the convenience, special features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are much more enticing.
Leading Advantages of Solar Energy
#1 Significantly reduce and even remove your electrical bills
Whether you're a property owner, company, or not-for-profit, electricity expenses can make up a large part of your month-to-month expenses. With a solar panel system, you'll generate free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you consume, solar will lower your energy costs and you'll still conserve a lot of loan.
#2 Make a fantastic return on your investment
Solar panels aren't a cost-- they are among the very best ways to invest, with returns matching those of more standard investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical energy expense cost savings, the average American house owner pays off their solar panel system in seven to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Protect versus rising energy costs
One of the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility rates. In the previous 10 years, domestic electricity rates have actually increased by an average of three percent each year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and protect against unpredictable increases in electrical power costs. If you're an organisation or house owner with changing cash flow, going solar also helps you much better forecast and manage your expenses.
#4 Boost your residential or commercial property value
Numerous studies have discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have higher property values and offer more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more informed about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Boost U.S. energy self-reliance
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of attaining energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electricity from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from cost fluctuations in worldwide energy markets.
#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy
Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market included tasks at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Because solar-related jobs tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a considerable factor to the United States economy.
#7 Secure the environment
Solar is an excellent method to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can substantially reduce that number. A common domestic photovoltaic panel system will eliminate three to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.
#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability
Sustainability and business social responsibility are necessary components of a company's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line results. Significantly, customers and communities are recognizing and rewarding organisations that opt to operate responsibly. Organisations are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective motorist of consumer purchasing choices, developing goodwill and enhancing service results.
#9 Start Conserving from Day 1
Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.
Many property owners decide to finance their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This implies that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, maintenance, tracking and repairs. You simply pay the solar supplier for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility business.
Since June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment
The energy companies are notorious for their varying and unreliable electrical energy costs. There is clearly an upward pattern.
With solar panels and simple mathematics, we can compute what does it cost? electrical energy will be generated, and most importantly, at what cost, for a minimum of the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month
- System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
- Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- We own the solar panel system
- $0 down for installation
- Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use
- Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
- System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
- Receive 30% federal tax credit

What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?
We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.
What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.
Frequently Asked Questions
I Am Planing To Fit Solar Panels On My Car To Help Charge My Car Batteries.... Suggessions?
I Am Planing To Put Solar Panels To Help Lift Some Strain Off The Alternator And Thus Helping Gas Milage.
I Know Solar Panel'S Contribution Would Be A Fraction To What Alternator Does But It Might Show In The Long Run. Also It Will Keep The Battery Charged Longer.
I Am Thinking To Connect Directly To The Battery Or Maybe To The Lighter Plug. Which One Is Better? Anything Else I Have To Be Carefull? Thanks
Save yourself some work...... the solar panels will help keep the battery charged if the car is stored and not run for extended periods. It won't be taking any strain off the alternator, because the engine has to turn the alternator anyway, and you wouldn't see any mileage increase. The tiny amount of current that the solar panels would provide wouldn't make a noticeable difference. Most alternators put out anywhere from 50-100 amps....... I be surprised if your solar panels managed to produce more than a trickle charger would.... about 1-2 amps.
_How Many Solar Panels Needed To Light Up A Whole House?
Parents Planning On Buying Some Solar Panels For Our House Down In Dubai It Really Hot There I'M Currently Living In Canada, Anyways I'M Wondering How Many Solar Panels And Volts Ill Need To Light Up A 2400Sq Ft. House?
Please Leave You'Re Suggestions Below!
It's not really the solar panels that power the house, they charge a battery bank and there's an inverter that jumps the battery power up to household current level. If you start getting into more expensive systems, they can sense when the batteries are full and start diverting power into the local electric grid. Some places the electric company is required to pay you for generating current, other places tell you tough luck. I suggest looking on Ebay or something at some of the home solar kits on sale there and look at how large a house they are rated for to get an idea of how big a system you're going to need. I don't know if you have access to the power bill history of the house you're getting in Dubai, but the power company there might be able to provide you with a history of average kW hours the house consumes. A 2400 sqft house with a gas stove and a gas water heater and wood heat is going to consume far less electricity than a house with all electric appliances and the consumption history of an individual house should reflect that so you can buy appropriately.
Can Florida Pool Heat Well In January With Solar Heat Alone.?
Solar Panels, Can They Heat A Private Inground Pool To A Comfortable Temp In January, In Orlando Fl
My guess would by yes, if the weather is average. We had an unusually cold winter this year but that was an anomaly. Most of the time there is no heating needed and most of us try to keep our pools cool enough to enjoy.
How Much Does It Cost To Build Your Own House?
I Want To Do Everything Myself. My Uncle And Grandpa Built Their Own Houses And They Look Like Million Dollar House... Three Stories. Very Nice.
How Much To Build My Own Single Story House With Three Bedrooms, Kitchen Two Bathrooms, Office And A Living Room? Thanks
Can't you see that your question has so many variables? Here are just a few:
Size of lot and location of lot. Impact or pre-construction fees or permits?
Geographic location and type and amount of insulation needed.
Geographic location and size and type of air conditioner. A heat pump
Gas, solar power or electric heat? A heat pump?
Type of foundation, type of roof, size of garage, type of driveway.
Type of molding. Type and quality of carpet, tile, wood flooring.
Solid wood doors or panel. Type of light fixtures.
Size of each room including bathrooms and closets.
Do you need additional storage for lawn care, other vehicles, collectibles, etc.?
Do you want furniture costs added? What quality of furniture? A sofa can run from $300 to $3000.
To build a house is nice but it is most often more expensive than buying one already made. If you are a carpenter, electrician or a great handyman, you can get a house partially finished and do the rest yourself.
Sorry to be so rough on you, but a house like you describe, in the Atlanta area can range from $185,000 to half a million without any trouble.
How To Convert/Build A Completely Solar Dependant Home?
Me And The Wife, Newly Married Are Looking To Build Or Convert A Completely Self-Sustained Home, We Have Access To Water And Now Need Energy.
Is It Possible To Run Your Home Completely Off Solar Panels, And What Kind Should/Can I Get To Do So, Brand And Such? I Know Little In The Field And Little In Power Altogether, Can I Use Multiple Panels To Achieve The Needed Wattage And Voltage, Or Do We Need Specific Panels At The Wattage And Voltage?
Basically, What I'M Asking Is Can You Add 10 22V Panels And Achieve 220V, Or Do I Need 220V Panels? I'M A Computer Man, Not An Electrician.
To obtain 220V AC you need 320 V DC - AC is a sine wave of 220 V which is 0.707 X of applied voltage, or you need 1.414 X applied voltage to get rated AC voltage. An inverter would convert DC to AC and boost the volts to what is needed to power AC appliances.
You will need a bank of batteries to carry you over at night and hope you have enough light the next day to power the home plus recharge the batteries for the next night. You need at minimum of twice the amp hour rating of batteries, and you need at least twice the power rating for the solar panels to be able to power the home and recharge the batteries for the next night.
A factor of three seems to be a good practical value for solar panel size and battery bank to have some redundancy for low light days to help gain a little more power to charge the batteries for the next night, and generally have enough power to keep lights and refrigerator working in winter months, though there are times we do not have enough sun light to recharge the batteries and/or have enough power during the day.
A heat pump works well for heating and Air conditioning needs.
A good adequate system for the average home can cost in the $100,000 + range. I have designed and installed a variety of systems over the years. I reccomend to connect to the grid for backup for when there is a stretch of cloudy days for more than one day at a time - it will happen.
