What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for homeowner to use the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioner, washing clothes, viewing TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are significant, lots of homeowners discover that the benefit, special functions, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more attractive.

Leading Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Dramatically decrease or even remove your electric costs

Whether you're a homeowner, service, or nonprofit, electrical energy expenses can make up a big part of your month-to-month expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create complimentary power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will lower your utility bills and you'll still conserve a great deal of loan.

#2 Earn a fantastic return on your investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the very best methods to invest, with returns matching those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical energy costs cost savings, the average American house owner settles their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard versus increasing energy expenses

Among the most clear cut benefits of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, domestic electrical power rates have gone up by an average of 3 percent every year. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical energy rate and safeguard versus unforeseeable boosts in electrical energy costs. If you're a service or property owner with ever-changing cash flow, going solar likewise helps you much better projection and handle your costs.

#4 Boost your home or business value

Several studies have found that homes geared up with solar energy systems have higher property values and sell faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more educated about solar, need for properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capacity to produce electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from rate variations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar industry included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Since solar-related jobs tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a considerable contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a fantastic way to minimize your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can substantially decrease that number. A common residential photovoltaic panel system will remove 3 to four lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees yearly.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and business social responsibility are crucial parts of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Increasingly, consumers and communities are recognizing and rewarding companies that opt to run properly. Services are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective chauffeur of consumer acquiring choices, creating goodwill and enhancing business outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.

Numerous house owners opt to finance their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding choices. This indicates that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, upkeep, monitoring and repair works. You merely pay the solar provider for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment

The energy business are notorious for their varying and unreliable electricity costs. There is clearly an upward trend.

With photovoltaic panels and basic math, we can determine how much electricity will be created, and most notably, at what price, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

A Questionnaire Regarding Renewable Energies And The Average Person's Knowledge About The Topic.?
Hello, I Am Currently Working On A Research Project For School Regarding Renewable Energies And Their Economic Viability. A Big Part Of My Research Is The Average Person's Knowledge About The Subject. For This Purpose I Have Created A Questionnaire, And Would Appreciate If Whoever Filled It Out Could Do So To Their Best Of Their Ability, With Thought-Out Answers. I'm Not Looking For A Whole Essay, Just Serious Answers. Just Your Own Knowledge Is What I'm Looking For, Not Your Researched Answers. 1. What Is Your Age? Where Do You Live? 2. What Is Renewable Energy For You? What Do You Know About It? 3. What Types Of Renewable Energies Do You Know About? 4. Do You Use Renewable Energy Or "Green" Cars In Your Daily Life? (Green Meaning Not A Major Pollutant) 5. If You Don't Use Renewable Energy, Is It Because You Consider Renewable Energy To Be Too Expensive? 6. If You Were Told That The Profit Accumulated From Renewable Energies Was Greater Than Its Buying Cost And Installation, Would You Consider Using It In Your Daily Life? 7. Do You Think Your Local Government Should Put More Emphasis On Renewable Energies? Why? Whoever Fills This Out Has My Thanks, I Really Appreciate It. -Jay

1. 66,Calif. but it does have good gas mileage and is a small car.
5.I don't use it because I am no longer in a situation where I can use it.
6.I have and I know it to be true. In the past I have lived in a totally off grid home. Solar home. Minimum gas usage for refrigerator. All Summer we collected wood scraps from a truss company who was not allowed to burn in Summer. This gave us free heat all Winter when we were allowed to burn. We also lived on the high desert and no one around for miles. Our home had the max in insulation to retain heat and keep out cold. A straw-bale home would have been the best home for renewable energy efficient living.
7. Calif gave a tax break on the use of solar. For 4 years we paid no Calif state tax.
Yes they should because the govt.s now give lip service to the public and never really put their money where their mouth is.

One other thing, If you take the cost of your last new car and use it for a guide for the amount of solar you can afford you have a better idea on what you can do toward solar. Pay it off as you would a car. The second you hook up your solar you are making money. If on the grid then do net-metering.
Thanks for asking Jay.

Where Is A Good Source Of Info On Home Solar Panels? Location Of Home Is Middle Tn.?
I Am Thinking About Something Called, I Think, &Quot;Thin Layer Solar Panels&Quot;. Also Would Like Info On Any Federal Monetary Help On Paying To Convert To All Solar Power In The Home.

Thin film solar sheets are a relatively new technology compared to standard glass plated PV panels. Standard panels have been around much longer and they are more efficient, meaning you would need more roof space with thin film than with regular.

For state incentives, you can look here:

For more about how solar panels work, you can go here:

The first thing you should do is find a local contractor. They will be able to tell you about state incentives more succinctly and give you a quote that will incorporate the state rebates as well as federal tax incentives. Look for a solar installer that is close to your home, that has lots of experience, and that will give you an on site consultation and quote for free.

Good luck!

Is My Fear Of Our House Catching On Fire Getting A Bit Irrational?
We Do Have A Newer Kind Of House, So I Think That Lowers It'S Risk And We Are Always Very Clean And Turn Off The Computer And Everything At Night. But Our House Catching On Fire Is One Of My Biggest Fears. I Keep Things That Are Very Important To Me On My Desk Near My Bed, And Before I Try Going To Sleep It Always Crosses My Mind. I Can'T Stand The Fact That We'D Lose Everything If Our House Went Down. I'D Be More Okay With It If We Had A Fire Safe, And A Fire Extinguisher, But We Don'T. Is My Fear Getting A Bit Out Of Hand?

the fire extinguisher and the safe can be bought
and you are not alone there as this happens for real.
a good insurance is a must and keep updating it with new items you may have bought in the meanwhile.
in oz many people lose their houses due to bush fires every year
you can maybe do much more than the average person.

if you live in an high risk area like me with lots of trees and with tall grass all around take note of the following.

depending on your finances and amount of space available you could install a large water tank from the gutters to catch the rain water
(and also for use in the garden)
and hook that tank up to an all round sprinkler system powered by the grid and also a 12 volt pump with large battery and a trickle solar panel(for back up and peace of mind)
i mention electric as they are easier to remote control and to an fire alarm if you have one

Hello! How Can Electricity Be Made And Saved By Using Solar Energy?

Light can be concentrated by mirrors, and used to heat water to produce steam.

The energy from the steam is used to turn a turbine which drives a dynamo to generate electricity, must like in a nuclear reactor, but without the hazards of radiation.

They have built power plants like this, storing the heat for use at night and on cloudy days.

They normally use heliotropic mirrors which follow the sun.

The efficiency is much better than the 2-5% of solar panels, but requires more maintenance and the storage of heat.

Where Do Solar Flares Come From?
Ugh! Another Science Question! ;)

That's a good one, because it is not easy. In the outer part of the sun, the energy transfer (energy is produced in huge amounts in the core and has to be evacuated) is mainly convective, that is, through the movements of large chunks of matter which have been heated at a deeper level and move upward because their density is lower, while matter which has cooled (relatively!) in the higher layers plunges back. This kind of movement is rarely steady - think of boiling water- and it is complicated here by the fact that the matter is a plasma and that their is a strong and rapidly varying magnetic field. This one seems to act as an energy accumulator, like a collection of springs which can suddenly liberate the tension accumulated and communicate it to the matter. But all this is far from being well understood.
