What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioning system, washing clothing, seeing TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, many residents discover that the benefit, special features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more alluring.

Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly lower or even remove your electric expenses

Whether you're a homeowner, organization, or not-for-profit, electrical energy costs can make up a large portion of your month-to-month costs. With a solar panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you take in, solar will decrease your utility expenses and you'll still conserve a great deal of money.

#2 Make a great return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they are among the very best methods to invest, with returns rivaling those of more standard financial investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical energy expense cost savings, the average American property owner settles their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard versus rising energy expenses

One of the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the past ten years, residential electrical energy costs have actually gone up by an average of three percent every year. By investing in a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical power rate and safeguard versus unpredictable boosts in electrical power expenses. If you're a service or homeowner with fluctuating cash flow, going solar likewise helps you much better projection and manage your costs.

#4 Increase your home or business worth

Several studies have discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have greater property worths and sell more quickly than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more educated about solar, need for residential or commercial properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and an essential part of accomplishing energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our country from price variations in worldwide energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and help your local economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar industry added jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is expected to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related tasks have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial factor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a fantastic method to reduce your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A typical domestic solar panel system will remove three to four heaps of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are essential elements of a company's culture and values. They likewise produce bottom line results. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding organisations that decide to operate properly. Companies are discovering that "green" qualifications are a powerful motorist of consumer purchasing choices, developing goodwill and enhancing business outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for homeowners to go solar for little or no money down.

Numerous homeowners opt to fund their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" funding alternatives. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar supplier-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, maintenance, monitoring and repair works. You simply pay the solar service provider for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility companies are notorious for their fluctuating and unreliable electrical power rates. There is plainly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and easy math, we can compute what does it cost? electrical power will be generated, and most importantly, at exactly what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy expenses).

  • $0 down for installation
  • Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use

  • Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
  • System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
  • Receive 30% federal tax credit
  • See a return on investment within 7-10 years

What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?

We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.

What is the warranty?

The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where Are Solar Panels The Most Efficient? Where Do They Belong?

Any place you get direct sunlight. Germany isn't known for having sunshine but they have managed to get a great benefit from solar panels. Basically the closer to the equator the more hours of sunlight you will get so the more energy you will produce.

I have panels on my home and even on the shortest days of the winter I was generating about 50% of my power. I've only had one really bad day, it was cloudy and rainy all day so no sunshine, but I still made 2 khw of energy.

What Company(Ies) Will Be Able To Retrofit Gas Stations To Serve Alternative Energies?
I Have A Feeling That As Alternative Energy Becomes A Bigger Deal, Existing Gasoline Stations Will Be Retrofitted With Solar Panels, Capacitor And Battery Banks, Natural Gas Tanks, And Hydrogen Fuels. This Is A Much More Efficient Alternative To Building Brand New Fueling Stations. What Companies Are Prepared To Do The Retrofitting?

The move to alternative fuels is ultimately going to be dictated by the free market. As such, the goal of this move would be to avoid retrofitting. In the immediate future (next decade) You're going to see plug-in hybrids like the Chevy Volt which will charge overnight in your garage giving you a small (40-50 mile) electric range for around town. You will also see an increase in the efficiency of production of biofuels. For me to clean waste vegetable oil brew biodiesel in my garage is cost effective, because it was originally refuse which I collected for free. This is not the case with the ethanol or biodiesel you can now get at the gas station. Currently the ethanol you see in the United States is total bs, it takes almost as much energy to produce it as it yields. However, there are many promising venues for efficient production of biofuels in the works. Cellulose ethanol, sugar cane ethanol, biodiesel made from algae (and hopefully ones we don't yet know about!) will gradually replace petroleum fuels.

These being the two most promising means to a move to alternative energies in automobiles, you're going to see two types of retrofitting. The first is that the underground tanks at gas stations will be replaced. This is standard procedure for when fuel becomes contaminated or is switched from gas to diesel or vice-versa. Or at least this is the law in Florida. My father used to own gas stations, and apparently he was put through that hell once. Invest in companies that do that. I can't tell you their names, but I'm sure you can find out fairly easily.

The second type of retrofitting you'll see is that once there are enough electric or electric/gas hybrids (like the volt, not like the prius) on the road there will be incentive for fast charging stations alongside the gas pumps. These will be incredibly cheap to install, basically some ultra high voltage outlets (though I can't tell you exactly what components are necessary for that). However, an influx of electric cars will require a wholesale upgrade of the electric grid. The government is going to have to step in to do this because there is no profit motive for the electric companies to pay money to make their product more accessible and thus cheaper. If the government is smart (which it's not) they'll go ahead and make it a smart grid (too much for me to explain here, look it up). Invest in companies that work on these technologies, contractors that build the grid and suppliers that make components.

This being said, there are two problems with your vision of the future. Natural gas and hydrogen are literally gasses. This means that they would have to be condensed into liquids or solids for them to be feasible fuels. Though natural gas can and has been used in internal combustion engines, it has required a large tank to be towed behind the car on a trailer. Hydrogen is the same thing, except it has to be created thus making the net energy value less favorable. Solar panels are best placed in solar power farms, not in the fueling station themselves.

Remember, when picturing the future of energy think simply. What's the easiest way to do things? Try and avoid grandiose 1950s era GM motorama visions. How can things change while looking as similar as they can to today?

Where Does The Electricity Come From To Recharge An Electric Car’S Battery?
For A Science Project. In Laymen'S Terms Please.

Hybrids have an engine. A serial hybrid's engine is used to run a generator that charges the batteries of an otherwise electric car (like the proposed Volt.) But a purely electric car (Tesla Roadster, Tango, RAV4ev...) has no engine. There are several ways to charge the car:

1. From the grid through a plug that connects to a charging unit.
2. From stationary batteries that are charged up slowly and then discharge much more quickly into the vehicle
3. From a stationary solar panels or a generator. If the generator is on a trailer than the EV becomes a sometimes series hybrid:
4. The batteries may be taken out and charged separately from the vehicle while another set are installed.

Electricity can be produced and then used to charge an electric vehicle from a large number of sources. Only solar panels or a generator are likely to be non grid sources of electricity. Other ways to make electricity that are typically tied into the grid are:

Thermal power plants use heat to produce steam that is used to run generators. The heat may be produced by:
--Nuclear fission
--Solar power tower
--Solar parabolic trough
--geothermal high temp (volcanic)

Water movement:

Water temperature differences:
--Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion ( )
--solar pond
--geothermal low temp heating (stirling engine)

Wind movement:
--tether high altitude wind generators
--solar chimneys

Solar parabolic dish with stirling engines and photovoltaic panels may be scaled large to small. All power may be traced back to the sun and its nuclear fusion power production except geothermal volcanic, nuclear fission power plants and some tidal action.

Solar Panel Manufacturing?
Is It True That It Takes More Energy To Manufacture Solar (Photo-Voltaic) Panels Than They Are Able To Produce In Their Lifetime? I'M Pretty Sure I Read That Somewhere But Can'T Remember Now. Anyone Know?

Hey Sparky, Roderick is right on the money, the research he is citing is one of the better ones done during that time, there are others. This question keeps coming up again and again about once each month, I answered the last one two weeks ago. To save time I've copied and pasted that answer here for you to read. Take care Sparky, Rudydoo

Rich, your researcher friend working for the military is off target for two reasons, I'll explain. What you are referring to is the, "Embodied Energy," in a solar panel. It is the total amount of energy used to dig up raw materials, ship to the plant, make the product, ship to the user point, and install. Obviously it is a bit difficult to quantify exactly, but several studies were done in the 90s about this subject, probably the best work was done by Solar Energy International, a non profit group that does research and education on the subject. Most commercially manufactured solar panels in the US have a range of embodied energy that would take between 1.5 and 6 years for the panel to earn back in normal use. Virtually all panels available today are warrantied for 25 years, and most work well beyond this time frame. But in the end, none of this matters, here's why:

Electricity has been around for over a century now, and each year we find newer and more exciting things to do with it, so it isn't going away anytime soon. The question becomes, "What is the best way to produce it?" Let's assume you take a 250 watt solar panel and put it alongside a highly efficient conventional power source, like a natural gas fired turbine generator that also produces 250 watts at peak power. Which device will earn back it's embodied energy faster. The answer is the gas fired turbine never does. You have to remember that no matter how small the embodied energy is in the turbine, once you build it and install it, it now has to be fed natural gas for the rest of it's life, and then it converts that fuel to electricity at an efficiency rate something less than 100%. So the turbine simply keeps digging itself a deeper and deeper energy hole that it can never crawl out of. At least the panel has a chance to get even some day. The discussion is the same when comparing any conventional power source, such as a coal, oil or gas power plant to anything renewable, such as a solar panel, wind turbine or hydro plant, the numbers are just a bit different.

This is the real reason that the drive to renewable has gotten so much steam built up lately, we can finally see all these technologies for what they are. Were you around 30 years ago when we were still arguing about whether cigarette smoking was bad for your health? Can you find anyone still willing to carry that argument? Imagine 30 years from now what people will be saying about burning coal to make an airconditioner run.

Hope this adds a little horse power to your next discussion. I'm curious, what does a military "researcher," research exactly? I don't think they are in the energy business anywhere. Good luck, and take care, Rudydoo

What Would It Take To Restore The Middle Class In Usa?
First Let Define What I Mean By &Quot;Middle Class&Quot; -- To Be Precise 35K To 200K Per Year For Individuals, Adjusted Gross Income. What About The Poor? This Question Is Not About The Poor, It'S About The Middle Class (See Definition Given Above), For Information About The Poor Please See Wikipedia. What About The Rich? Ditto -- See Wikipedia. So Now Our Topic Has Been Narrowed Down, But What Does &Quot;Restore&Quot; Mean? Ok, Let'S Define That -- A Restored Middle Class Is The Same Size As The Middle Class In 1960. It Occupies About 80% Of The American People, About 5% Being Rich, About 15% Being Poor. This Question Is Not About The Rich Or The Poor. It'S About Getting The Middle Class To Comprise About 80% Of All American Citizens -- That Is What I'M Asking About. You Say &Quot;Dunno, Don'T Care&Quot; Ok Lovely, Then Beat It, Don'T File An Answer, I Don'T Need Clowny Answers Or Wise Cracks. You Say, Well What Are The Possibilities? Ok, Here Are A Few Out Of Hundreds Of Possible Ways To Restore The Middle Class -- You Don'T Have To Use Any Of These, But You Can If You Like: 1. Create A Trade Policy Based On &Quot; No Trade Deficit&Quot;. That Means If China Sells Us $1.00 Worth Of Goods Or Services It Must Buy $1.00 Worth Of Goods Or Services From Usa. [This Contradicts Globalism, And It Contradicts Free Trade, And Also The Theory Of Comparative Value -- So Many Academics Are Screaming At Me -- Have I Not Heard Of These Things -- Answer -- Yes I Have -- I'M Proposing Something New Here -- In Order To Become What We Are Not (Solvent) We Must Go By The Way In Which We Are Not (A New Way -- Let'S Call It Fair Trade, Or Authentic Trade). 2. Tax Policy That Shifts Large Amounts Of Money From The Rich To The Middle Class. This Is Called Progressive Taxation. It Reached Its Pinacle In Usa Under Eisenhower (Marginal Tax Rates For Extreme High Earners Reached Over 90%), Who Was Not A Marxist, And Who Ran The Country And Presided Over An Economy That Worked Quite Well By All Accounts (See History Books, If You Have A Library Card). 3. Education Policy At The K-12 Level That Puts A Heavy Emphasis On Critical Thinking Skills. So Heavy In Fact That Knowledge Per Se Is Somewhat De-Emphasized Compared To Today -- With Standardized Knowledge Testing, Which Creates Little Robots With No Thinking Skills, But Who Know Everything About Harriet Tubman. 4. Industrial Policy Centered On National Cash Prizes For Major Breakthroughs In New Technologies Likely To Greatly Increase Exports From Usa -- The Usa Makes -- The World Takes! It Could Be A Solar Panel Improvement, Or An Electric Car, Or A Battery, Or A Geothermal Technology, Or A Small Wind Turbine, Or A Way To Dissociate Co2 Into Pure Carbon And Useful Oxygen, Or 10,000 Other Things -- But To Get The Prize It Has To Be Something Likely To Boost Usa Exports. We Want To Sell To The World -- That'S How We Get Jobs In Usa -- That'S How We Boost Our Middle Class. I Could Put 6 Other Things -- But I Already Know My Own Thoughts -- What I Want Is Your Thoughts. Please If You Have Not Found The Time To Read Through This Question -- Please Do Not Answer It -- You Are Far Too Busy -- So Go Do Something Else!

The middle class becomes the poor and the poor become the poverty stricken, adjustments to our economy are being set in place by liberal policies to create such a situation. In truth there will be no middle class, there will be the elite, the rich, the poor and the poverty stricken, our titles just won't change, neither will our pay scales, the difference will be in the amount of taxes the middle class are expected to pay.
If you want to stimulate the economy, you must continuously strive to create new and better technology that other countries will want. In order to do this our education system must excel and we must allow our children to strive to be the best they can. Instead every effort is treated the same. A child who doesn't want to be in class and only goes through the motion to stay out of the juvenile home and disrupts and bullies those who are willing to learn should be kicked out. Miscreants are running this society because our government enforced laws that favored their needs over those who are willing to put forth the effort. Money is a concern, but what most people don't comprehend is it is not the main issue. The main issue is to return America back into a country that glorifies honesty, hard work, responsible behavior, pride in output, and strict discipline for gross behavior, and over all else human life must be valued above all else, etc.etc.
You must first understand the problem before you can attempt to fix it.
