What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to use the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioner, cleaning clothes, seeing TV, cooking supper. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning nonrenewable fuel sources or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental advantages of solar power are considerable, numerous home owners find that the convenience, unique features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more alluring.

Top Ten Advantages of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically reduce or even remove your electrical expenses

Whether you're a property owner, service, or not-for-profit, electrical energy costs can make up a big part of your monthly expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll create totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will reduce your utility expenses and you'll still save a lot of cash.

#2 Make an excellent return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the very best methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electricity expense savings, the average American house owner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Protect versus rising energy costs

Among the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the past 10 years, residential electrical power costs have actually gone up by approximately 3 percent every year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and protect versus unforeseeable increases in electricity costs. If you're a company or property owner with fluctuating capital, going solar also helps you better forecast and manage your costs.

#4 Boost your home or business value

Multiple research studies have discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property values and sell faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are progressively taking solar installations into consideration as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as property buyers end up being more informed about solar, need for properties geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial element of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electricity from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost fluctuations in international energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar industry included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the nation. This development is expected to continue. Since solar-related tasks have the tendency to be higher paying and can not be contracted out, they are a significant contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a fantastic way to decrease your carbon footprint. Buildings are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can considerably reduce that number. A common residential solar panel system will eliminate three to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees each year.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are essential parts of an organization's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, consumers and neighborhoods are acknowledging and rewarding companies that decide to run responsibly. Services are finding that "green" credentials are an effective driver of consumer purchasing decisions, creating goodwill and improving organisation results.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no loan down.

Numerous property owners choose to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing alternatives. This indicates that a third-party business-- the solar provider-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, maintenance, tracking and repairs. You merely pay the solar supplier for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility business are well-known for their changing and unreliable electricity rates. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and simple math, we can calculate just how much electrical power will be generated, and most notably, at what price, for at least the next 20 years (fixed energy costs).

Financing

What is the warranty?

The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Anyone Know The Average Cost To Install A Solar Panel And Wind Power System?
How Much Will It Cost For A Working Solar Panel And Working Wind Mill?

I can tell you how much my system cost. The total was $26K, but I got a $10K rebate from my utility and I'll receive a $2K tax credit. Next year the fed. tax credit will increase to 30% of the total cost. I have a 3.75kwh system with 19 panels. I generate over 75% of my electricity in the summer and so far this winter I'm still at about 50%.

Just to give you an idea of the savings, I should break even in my 6th year. The system is guaranteed for 25 years, so I'll be getting at least 18 years of free energy. My highest bill in the summer was under $20 and I haven't seen a bill above $35 since they were installed.

Where you live, the direction your home faces and shade factors will determine how much energy you can generate. Getting 1-2 years of usage history will help determine what size system will work best for you. I suggest contacting a local licensed contractor and having them give you a free no obligation bid. That is the best way to see what is possible and the costs for your specific situation.

Why Is The Surface Of A Solar Heater Panel Black?

Things are black because they reflect very little or no light. Absorbing all of this light causes an object to become warm, and so solar heaters are best to be made black.

Seriously, Are There Really Any Practical Applications For Solar Panel Generated Electricity?
We Have Known For Years That Solar Cells Have Been Useful For Powering Traffic Control Signs, Wristwatches, Cellphones, And Even Laptops. Are Their Really Any Useful, Practical, Applications For Solar Generated Electrical Power Today?

Being such a practical person you are unlikely to go by ship when you could fly. Flying you are unlikely to survive a landing at sea. Although someone in a life raft in the middle of the ocean may curse the sun but with solar distillation devices now fairly standard they might survive longer than any batteries would land.

You might use an 18 wheeler to kill flys but a flyswatter is probably a more efficient tool. Likewise solar thermal panels are far more efficient than solar electrical panels and far better suited to general heating, hot water heating and air conditioning. Concentrated solar thermal energy is being used in all the new largest solar electrical installations. These installations incorporate heat storage in thermal salts to allow for 24/7 operation.

Solar air panels remain the cheapest way to capture solar energy for heating. It is the same principal that has been used in greenhouses, solar rooms, passive solar houses and from designing these environments we have a better understanding of thermal mass to store heat energy.

Direct sunlight to electricity is the specialty of solar photovoltaic panels. It has a limited range where it is most useful. These tend to be were there is less infrastructure and lightness and simplicity are more highly valued. There are growing applications in Solar cars and electric aircraft as well as some survival and wilderness equipment. Solar panels for homeowners can be cost effective particularly in areas not supplied with grid electricity. Many boats are now charging their batteries with solar panels rather than running the engines for the same purpose.

How Many Wind Turbines And Solar Panels Does The World Need To Replace Coal, Oil And Nuclear Power?
I Heard The Wind Turbines, Solar Panels So Far Provide America With Around 2% Of Our Energy. So Since Liberals Appear To Want To Replace Natural Energy With Man Made Products, That Cause Massive Pollution By The Way To Make- How Long Will That Take 30 Years, 100 Years? How Many Wind Turbines Will Airplanes And Birds And Parachute Jumpers Smash Into, Isn'T That A Problem? How Do We Rid Of Natural Energy Before We Have The Liberal Back Up Plan - We Don'T Really Have ? How Do They Think This Is Gonna Work? Its Not Logical, We Need To Come Up With More Ideas! That Battery Idea Kinda Sucks Since Batteries Need Natural Energy To Work.

Wow you "heard" this and you "heard" that-I heard that it isn't dangerous to build a nuclear reactor that can only withstand a 7.5 earthquake a half mile from the San Andreas fault-just a little bit more false con propaganda. I wonder if they're rethinking that little nugget...

BTW little genius-wind and solar are "natural" energy; coal must be mined and processed which is a tremendously polluting process even before it's burned as fuel, which is not natural. Same with the nuclear materials used in nuke plants, except it's an even dirtier process. Your contention that the production of solar panels and wind turbines is more polluting than coal or nukes is more than simply false-it's ridiculous. Finally, just because your uninformed brain can't conceive of how a sustainable power grid would work doesn't mean there's not a plan in place, or that it can't work. I suggest you inform yourself further on this subject, the information is cleverly concealed in books.
**EDIT**
Ahh, the geniuses are out in force today..."Woofy", where do you think the energy to run those electric motors is going to come from? Fairies? Elves? Reddy Kilowatt?
**EDIT**
"golden", you answered your own question-solar systems ARE better now and have steadily been improving since their inception and have become more affordable smaller, lighter and far more efficient. Too bad the government chose not to fund solar research in favor of giving welfare to oil companies-we'd be even farther along and the systems would be even better.
**EDIT**
"hotshot", I don't mind $4 gas at all; the last gas crunch in 2008 led to a dramatic reduction in driving by Americans as well as increased interest in and purchases of fuel efficient vehicles-apparantly it's the only motivation to conserve most people will heed. Why else do I not mind? My husband and I own a (16 year old) car that gets 30MPG city, 34MPG freeway, we (purposely planned to) live within a 3 mile radius of our jobs, we consider carefully the necessity of car trips and plan them to reduce the numbers of miles we drive and we practice hypermiling. Guess what? We fill our 10 gallon tank every other week. Again, that's ten gallons of gas for two weeks of driving-therefore I have no need to whine about $4 a gallon gas,.

Which Career Should I Chose?
Ok Well I Would Like A Career Either In Automotives Or Power Plants. I Heard Rights Now The Automotive Field Isn'T Doing Very Good, So I Am Really Leaning Towards Becoming A Power Plant Operator. I Would Like To Work With Solar Panels Or Wind Turbines. I Just Love The Fact That They Are Providing Power The Clean And Safe Way. I Would Really Want To Work In A Solar Power Plant, But I Don'T Know If There Is Such A Thing. What Are Some Careers Related To What I Have Stated Above?

Go for the Power plants. It's a job that doesn't seem to be going out of demand any time soon, and it probably will be in high demand in the future soon.
