The small panel is enough to power 5 energy saving bulbs, laptop, and charge cell phone for 5 or so hours per day (We do have cellphones in Africa). Its used small scale everywhere i work in A. but like the rest of the world very few big projects. Capital outlay,and storing the energy are challenges. The 12 V lead/acid battery I'm using is not a good answer for big projects, not green either
