What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for property owner to utilize the sun to power daily life: running your air conditioner, cleaning clothing, viewing TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while reducing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a strain on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are significant, lots of home owners find that the benefit, distinct features, and cost savings of owning a solar power system are even more attractive.

Leading Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Drastically reduce or perhaps eliminate your electrical expenses

Whether you're a property owner, service, or not-for-profit, electrical power expenses can make up a large part of your month-to-month expenditures. With a solar panel system, you'll create totally free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will minimize your utility costs and you'll still conserve a great deal of loan.

#2 Make a fantastic return on your financial investment

Photovoltaic panels aren't an expenditure-- they are among the very best ways to invest, with returns rivaling those of more standard investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electrical energy bill savings, the typical American homeowner settles their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Secure against increasing energy expenses

Among the most clear cut advantages of solar panels is the capability to hedge utility prices. In the past ten years, property electricity costs have actually gone up by approximately 3 percent annually. By buying a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and protect against unforeseeable boosts in electrical power costs. If you're a service or house owner with ever-changing cash circulation, going solar also helps you much better projection and handle your expenditures.

#4 Boost your property value

Multiple studies have actually found that houses equipped with solar energy systems have greater residential or commercial property worths and offer faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are significantly taking solar installations into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more informed about solar, need for homes geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Increase U.S. energy self-reliance

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial component of achieving energy self-reliance in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from price changes in global energy markets.

#6 Develop jobs and assist your regional economy

According to The Solar Foundation, the solar industry included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the total U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Due to the fact that solar-related tasks have the tendency to be greater paying and can not be outsourced, they are a substantial contributor to the United States economy.

#7 Safeguard the environment

Solar is a fantastic method to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A normal domestic solar panel system will get rid of 3 to 4 loads of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Show your commitment to sustainability

Sustainability and corporate social obligation are necessary parts of a company's culture and values. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Progressively, consumers and communities are acknowledging and rewarding companies that decide to operate properly. Services are finding that "green" qualifications are a powerful motorist of consumer getting choices, developing goodwill and enhancing organisation outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for property owners to go solar for little or no money down.

Lots of house owners opt to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding choices. This means that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, maintenance, monitoring and repairs. You simply pay the solar provider for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the utility business.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The energy business are infamous for their fluctuating and undependable electrical power costs. There is clearly an upward pattern.

With solar panels and easy mathematics, we can compute what does it cost? electrical energy will be produced, and most notably, at what rate, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).

Financing

Frequently Asked Questions

Solar Panels Energy Theory?? Energy?
&Quot;Does It Take More Energy To Produce A Solar Panel Than What The Same Solar Panel Can Generate In Its Useful Lifetime?&Quot;

No. That lie is put out there by people who would lose out if solar panels ever became widely used. It does take about as much power to produce them as the panels make in 2 years in a good location, but considering their useful lifetime is at least 20-30 years, that isn't much. Wind power produces as much power as is used to create the windmill in 7-9 months in a decent location. Neither will ever produce as much power as they required to be made if placed in the wrong location, like in the shade or a non- windy area. No coal plant would ever make as much energy as it took to build it if no coal were provided either.

Question About Commercial Solar Panels?
I'M Writing A Post-Apocalyptic Story & In It The Main Character Finds A Warehouse. Eventually He Finds Out The Roof Is Covered With Commercial Solar Panels. Given It'S Been Over A Year Since The Majority Of The World Died & No Manainence Was Done, Do They Still Work?

In my experience working with solar panels, I've found that the panels themselves are robust and can last years. How that energy is transferred from the panel to perform work (sorry for the boffinism) is where the complexity emerges, namely due to the fact solar panels produce DC current, and nearly all of our electrical appliances use AC current. In most cases, solar panels will either send energy through a DC/AC inverter directly to be used for appliances, or stored in deep cycle batteries, then converted to AC using an inverter when the user wants to use his/her appliance.

Now to answer your question: the solar panels will be fine, and could conceivably be in fine working order with AC current available IF... and I cannot stress this enough (namely through years of field experience dealing with solar powered scientific instrumentation that was working well and then mysteriously not working)... IF rats and other rodents haven't eaten through the wires. This is probably the most likely reason that a set of solar panels wouldn't be working in your given scenario.

Hope this helps, and good luck!!

What Is A Solar Panel?
This Just For A Science Project Im Doing

A solar panel is a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays for generating electricity or heating. They are often installed on rooftops or other open spaces that get full sunlight. When using solar panels, there may be most likely some form of battery storage attached to the system. This allows for the storage of electricity to be used for a later date.

For Your Rv'S , What Is The Solar Panels Used For? And Is It Necessary ?

Why install solar panels? Why not just run the generator that came with the RV? Following are the reasons that I chose solar panels:

Solar is green, better for the environment and lowers our carbon footprint on this earth.
Solar panels do not pump noxious fumes into our campsite.
Solar panels are silent. They do not add noise pollution to the pristine environments we like to camp in.
Solar power is free (once you have recouped the cost of the panels).
Solar panels keep our batteries charged whether I am there or not (IE: when the RV is in storage).
Installing solar panels was a fun and exciting project to tackle.

Can Anyone Explain Photocells And Solar Panels To Me Please?
Can You Explain- How A Photocell Generates Electricity What Factors Affect Where Solar Panels Are Placed And How The Power Output Of Solar Panels Fitted To A House Can Change....- And For This I Don'T Understand What A Power Output Is? Please Help!

I think you mean photo-voltaic cell, which outputs a DC voltage when hit with light. It is a type of photocell, which is a more general term.

Wikipedia:
The photovoltaic effect is the creation of voltage or electric current in a material upon exposure to light. Though the photovoltaic effect is directly related to the photoelectric effect, they are different processes. In the photoelectric effect, electrons are ejected from a material's surface upon exposure to radiation. The photovoltaic effect differs in that electrons are transferred between different bands (i.e., from the valence to conduction bands) within the material, resulting in the buildup of voltage between two electrodes.

In most photovoltaic applications the radiation is sunlight, which is why the devices are known as solar cells. In the case of a p-n junction solar cell, illuminating the material creates an electric current as excited electrons and the remaining holes are swept in different directions by the built-in electric field of the depletion region.

Re solar cells, they are a collection of solar cells, photo-voltaic cells, wired in series parallel combinations to get a higher voltage and higher current than a single cell can generate.

You place them in a location where they can get direct sunlight for the most hours per day, with no shade. For max output, the surface of the panel should be perpendicular to the sun's rays. The angle and direction depends on where the panel is located in the world. In the US, you usually have then at a small angle, perhaps 30º, pointed south. But you need to select the angle and direction for each set of conditions.

Power is the rate of energy generated per unit time. So if the panel generates 1000 joules each second that it is exposed to the direct sun, then it is generating 1000 watts of power. But as soon as the sun moves off so the sun's rays are no longer directly perpendicular to the panel, the power decreases. It continues to decrease as that angle changes.
