What Our Customers are Saying

"We found all of the employees with whom we in contact from the sales representative to the installers to be knowledgeable and professional. All our questions were answered satisfactorily which is why we decided panels installed. We were also impressed with the company’s A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.” – Pat S. – Boston

"Our first two bills were approximately $300.00 less than before and our third bill, just received was down about $250.00 from what we were paying! We think it is fantastic!" - William R. - Waltham MA

"They did a wonderful job on my system and I would recommend them to my family and friends!" - Georg S. - Chicopee MA

I cannot express my gratitude for going forward with solar panels. From the initial meeting to discuss the possibility to the techs who eventually installed them. But most of all, it is the savings we have experienced. That first month was unbelievable. Solar plus our other electric source combined was less than our usual monthly expense. During the summer when our electric usage is higher because of the air conditioning, our monthly expense was still less than what we have paid with past summer usage. And if that’s not enough…our present electricity is primarily supplied by the solar panels. We have been building up a reserve with our other electricity source and will be able to draw from that all winter when our panels wont’t generate as much electricity. It’s a win-win situation that we’re just thrilled over. Having a fixed rate locked in is another great feature for savings.” – Virgil T. – Westport MA

About Solar Energy

Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.

Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.

Solar Benefits

Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioning system, washing clothing, enjoying TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while lowering your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a pressure on the electrical grid. And while the environmental benefits of solar power are considerable, lots of homeowners discover that the benefit, special functions, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are much more attractive.

Top Ten Benefits of Solar Energy

#1 Significantly lower or even eliminate your electrical costs

Whether you're a property owner, company, or nonprofit, electrical energy costs can make up a large portion of your month-to-month expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll generate totally free power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will reduce your energy costs and you'll still conserve a great deal of cash.

#2 Earn a fantastic return on your financial investment

Solar panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the very best methods to invest, with returns matching those of more conventional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to considerable electricity expense cost savings, the average American property owner settles their solar panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.

#3 Safeguard versus increasing energy expenses

One of the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the capability to hedge energy rates. In the previous ten years, residential electrical energy prices have actually gone up by an average of 3 percent each year. By buying a solar energy system now, you can repair your electrical power rate and secure against unpredictable boosts in electrical energy expenses. If you're a company or house owner with fluctuating money circulation, going solar likewise helps you better forecast and manage your expenses.

#4 Increase your home worth

Numerous research studies have actually discovered that houses geared up with solar energy systems have greater property values and offer more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into consideration as they value homes at the time of a sale, and as property buyers become more educated about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with solar panel systems will continue to grow.

#5 Boost U.S. energy independence

The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a crucial component of attaining energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to produce electrical energy from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from cost changes in global energy markets.

#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy

Inning accordance with The Solar Structure, the solar market included tasks at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Because solar-related tasks tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a substantial contributor to the U.S. economy.

#7 Secure the environment

Solar is a fantastic way to decrease your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can substantially decrease that number. A normal property photovoltaic panel system will remove 3 to 4 lots of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.

#8 Show your dedication to sustainability

Sustainability and business social duty are essential elements of a company's culture and worths. They likewise produce bottom line outcomes. Increasingly, customers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding organisations that decide to operate responsibly. Organisations are finding that "green" qualifications are an effective driver of consumer buying decisions, developing goodwill and improving organisation outcomes.

#9 Start Saving from Day 1

Solar purchase power contracts (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no cash down.

Numerous homeowners opt to finance their photovoltaic panels with among the "pay-as-you-go" financing alternatives. This indicates that a third-party company-- the solar supplier-- owns the solar system and takes care of installation, maintenance, tracking and repairs. You merely pay the solar company for electrical power-- less than you would've paid the energy company.

As of June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.

#10. Solar is a Secure Investment

The utility companies are infamous for their changing and undependable electrical energy prices. There is plainly an upward pattern.

With photovoltaic panels and easy math, we can determine just how much electrical power will be generated, and most importantly, at exactly what cost, for at least the next Twenty Years (repaired energy costs).

Frequently Asked Questions

Solar Energy???/???...............?
Can Someone Please Explain Solar Energy To Me? How Its Obtained, How It Could Be Used And In Which We Use It And Why Its Important, And Why We Cant Use It? Thanks 10 Points ;)

There are 2 normal ways... you either get the sun to heat some panels that have water pipes in them and this means that the sun heats the pipes, the pipes heat the water and when you circulate the water through your hot water tank, the water in you house gets warmer.

OOr you have a panel with cells which convert the sun's energy into electricity

Why is it important - because if you use solar energy you use less of other forms and hence we pollute less and the global warming problem gets less. If just you do it, it is negligible, if we all do it, it could make a huge difference.

Why can't we use it - we can. the correct question, I would suggest, is why don't we use it... and the answer is the upfront cost. It is expensive and we all care about our own short term cash problems, without thinking of long term game for mankind ie we are mean

Can A Solar Panel Charge A Car Battery?
Hey, I Just Got A 15 Watt Solar Panel From My Brother And I Don'T Know How It It Stores Energy So I Was Wondering If I Could Hook It Up To An Old Car Battery And Charge It So I Can Have Free Car Battery'S, Does Anyone Have Any Info As To How I Could Do This? Thanks!

What is the voltage of the solar panel? Car batteries require 12 volts. Solar panels vary from 1.2 to 120 volts. There are solar battery chargers available that can be used to keep a battery charged.

How Solar Energy Is Used And What Make'S It Work ?

Three ways pop to mind:

Solar heating. Either use black tubes or mirrors or a combination to heat up water (solar heating panel) or food (solar oven).

Concentrating solar power: lots of mirrors focus the Sun's light on a single point which can get really hot and boil water or heat a liquid salt. This can be used to make steam to turn a turbine and make electricity.

Solar photovoltaics: these are a bit more complex.

Traditional ones use 2 blocks of silicon. Silicon has 4 outer electrons so it makes a crystal lattice with four bonds to each atom. If you put a small number of atoms with 3 outer electrons in one block and some with 5 electrons in another block, you end up with odd electrons or 'holes' (absence of electrons) in the bonds.

The 5-electron block has a spare electron which, at room temperature has enough thermal energy to escape, leaving 4 electrons to bond with the silicon.

The 3-electron block is missing an electron. If you bring your two blocks together, the spare electrons from the first block will eventually find one of these 'holes' and fill them, so now they have 4 electrons to bond with too.

You've transferred electrons from one block to the other: one has lost charge, one has gained it - you've created an electric field/potential difference (a voltage).

When light hits the material, it is absorbed by lower energy level electrons, which use this energy to jump up an energy band into what's called the conduction band. Normally they'd move about randomly thanks to thermal energy so there'd be no net current (in random motion half might move left, but the other half would move right and they'd cancel out). But you've set up an electric field (the bit I explained above) which makes the electrons move in one direction. This is an electric current - you've converted light to electricity!

To fully understand this you need a decent grasp of quantum physics - look up the 'nearly free electron model' if you think you can handle it!

Has Anyone Used A Solar Heating Panel System With An Intex Pool And Filter? Do They Work?
Pool Store Personnel Say The Solar Panel Systems Won'T Work Because The Intex Pool Filters Won'T Push Enough Water Thru The System.

The pool store guy is right. Those intex pumps are junk. Look for a used 1Hp pump or buy one from Harbor Freight.

You can unplug the Intex pump and use the new pump to push the water through the Intex filter. That is how I did mine. I have to clean the filter more often because the increased water flow.

Someday I will just buy a sand filter and have a really clean pool.

Where Can I Get A Small Solar Panel To Power An Outdoor Water Pump?
I Have A Fountain System That Has A Small Electric Pump. Its Made To Be Close To A House But I Want It Across The Driveway And I Dont Want To Run Electrical Over There. Is There A Small Solar Panel That I Can Get Fairly Inexpensive To Mount On A Nearby Tree And Be Able To Plug The Pump Into It?

You will need more than a small solar panel to run a pump continuously, unless you don't mind that the pump only comes on during the day while the sun is out.

1st you need to know what the power demands are of the pump in question. Not only do you need to know the rate of the power draw from the pump, but you will also have to calculate how much power the pump will draw from your solar system every day. You will have to factor in that the sun doesn't shine brightly every day, & of course there's also night, so you will need a storage battery, & charging system to go along with your solar panel.
Now most pumps like the one you described are 120vac. Most solar panels, the batteries, & the chargers are 12vdc.
In order to get 120vac you will need an inverter. Once again, you will have to make sure that the inverter you get can handle the demands of the pump.
A solar system that actually works for you takes some carefull planning, & it's not something that you can just hang from a tree.

None of what I just descibed will be inexpensive by my definition, so if it were me, I'd dig a trench across the driveway, & install some direct bury cable on a GFCI circuit out of my main power panel & save a bundle.
