Just rough guessing here. a 115 watt solar panel I have on my home is right at 3 foot wide and 5 foot long. That is 15 sq. feet. So you will get about 7.6 watts per sq foot. Times 900 = about 6,900 watts in solar power on your roof. If you get 5 hours of peak sun a day you will produce about 41.4 kWh a day.
That is just over twice what I use in an 1700 sq foot home.
Yes you will need to replace your roof because it could leak and you would have to remove all the solar from your roof to fix it in a few years.
So being you are replaceing your roof why not save a little money and install Solar roofing shingles. Should be about the same or less being you are going to reroof and add solar. And no one would know you had solar unless you told them.

Most people who respond here are not experts but there is sort of a community of some knowledgeable people. Also please be careful about asking very long questions and say your are not asking for opinions as this suggests a "Rant" which is against the YA TOS and is one reason an account may be suspended.
I must admit to being somewhat confused by your question. Having disassembled many notebook computers and not finding any copper tubes inside I wonder at how you arrived at the idea that they contain the components needed for any part of a Stirling engine. Perhaps you are thinking of a specific brand?
Your other idea is that the heat of the notebook computer could be used to power a Stirling engine. If the energy originally comes from a battery and some of that energy is used to operate the laptop and only a portion of the energy is wasted as heat, then even recovering 100% of the wasted heat energy would not give us enough energy to once again power the laptop.

Because the German state taxed its cititzen to subsidize this industry at the start of its learning curve in order to scale it up and produce economies of scale - which is why till recently 50% of the PV installed in the world is in "cloudy Germany".
It is basically the same as the initial investment in nuclear which has cost worldwide 150+ billion except... (i) that it is not limited by the availability of the resource; (ii) that it does not need central planning to be successful in the future - and can power and empower small communities, (iii) it is safe, (iv) it has the potential to lower its cost with the exponentially increasing output (which nuclear does not as there isn´t enough uranium for more than 500 nuclear plants worldwide !!!).
Conservatives are the guys "by definition" who go with the known and established (use Merriam Webster) and look by while innovators implement. This is at least the case in the anglosaxon world where there are close to no "progressive-conservatives" (exept the Gubernator - but then again, where was he born?).
They will cheer for renewable power - whose initial financing they opposed on the basis of political-economic dogma (hey - I like wine but I strictly oppose planting vineyards). In one word - they are so dogmatic that they are unfit for the 21st century, especially compared to conservative parties in other countries.
