About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for resident to utilize the sun to power everyday life: running your a/c, cleaning clothes, seeing TELEVISION, cooking dinner. All while decreasing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological advantages of solar power are significant, lots of homeowners find that the convenience, unique features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are a lot more alluring.
Leading Advantages of Solar Energy
#1 Drastically minimize and even remove your electric expenses
Whether you're a homeowner, service, or nonprofit, electricity expenses can make up a big portion of your month-to-month expenses. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll produce complimentary power for your system's entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you don't produce 100 percent of the energy you take in, solar will minimize your energy expenses and you'll still conserve a great deal of money.
#2 Earn a fantastic return on your financial investment
Solar panels aren't an expense-- they're one of the finest methods to invest, with returns measuring up to those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to substantial electricity bill cost savings, the typical American homeowner pays off their photovoltaic panel system in seven to eight years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Protect versus rising energy costs
Among the most clear cut advantages of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge energy prices. In the previous ten years, domestic electrical power costs have increased by approximately 3 percent yearly. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can repair your electricity rate and secure against unforeseeable increases in electricity costs. If you're a business or property owner with ever-changing money flow, going solar likewise helps you much better projection and handle your costs.
#4 Increase your home or business worth
Numerous studies have discovered that houses equipped with solar energy systems have higher residential or commercial property worths and sell more rapidly than non-solar houses. Appraisers are progressively taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more educated about solar, demand for properties equipped with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Boost U.S. energy independence
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of attaining energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capability to create electrical power from the sun, we can likewise insulate our nation from rate changes in worldwide energy markets.
#6 Create jobs and help your regional economy
According to The Solar Structure, the solar industry added jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all tasks in the country. This development is expected to continue. Because solar-related jobs tend to be greater paying and can not be contracted out, they are a significant contributor to the U.S. economy.
#7 Secure the environment
Solar is a fantastic way to decrease your carbon footprint. Buildings are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States, and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A typical domestic photovoltaic panel system will eliminate three to 4 tons of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees every year.
#8 Show your commitment to sustainability
Sustainability and business social obligation are necessary elements of an organization's culture and values. They also produce bottom line outcomes. Significantly, customers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding services that decide to run properly. Companies are finding that "green" qualifications are an effective motorist of customer acquiring decisions, developing goodwill and improving organisation results.
#9 Start Saving from Day 1
Solar purchase power arrangements (PPAs) and solar leasing has made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no money down.
Lots of property owners decide to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" financing alternatives. This suggests that a third-party company-- the solar service provider-- owns the solar system and looks after setup, maintenance, tracking and repairs. You merely pay the solar supplier for electricity-- less than you would've paid the utility business.
As of June 2013, 75% of all American houses have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment
The energy companies are infamous for their changing and unreliable electrical power costs. There is plainly an upward trend.
With solar panels and basic math, we can calculate how much electrical power will be generated, and most importantly, at what price, for at least the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month
- System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
- Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- We own the solar panel system
- $0 down for installation
- Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use
- Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
- System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
- Receive 30% federal tax credit
- See a return on investment within 7-10 years
What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?
We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.
What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.
Frequently Asked Questions
According To Temperature Readings The Planet Can Warm And Cool By 1C Within A Year ... ?
... So What Does This Say About How We Measure Present And Past Temperatures?
Does The Earth'S Average Temperature Really Fluctuate This Much In A Short Time Period Or Is It More Humanlike And Maintains A Certain Average Temperature?
Does Satellite Measurements Reflect This Type Of Fluctuation When Measuring 'Energy In' And 'Energy Out'?
Co2 Has Been Likened To A Virus Or Even A Poison In Our Atmosphere.
Of course, the half degree or whatever that we've seen in the last 50 years is UNPRECIDENTED!
But then the temperature swings up and down that far annually.
What it means is what reasonable people have known all along--"changes" that have been reported are inside any reasonable margin of error.
I really wonder if we have warmed at all since the 1930s.
Since Even Germans Are Giving Up On Solar Pwr Do You Think We Can Stop Using Tax Money To Buy Solar Companies?
...And Wondering Why We Are Losing The Money?
Germany Once Prided Itself On Being The “Photovoltaic World Champion”, Doling Out Generous Subsidies—Totaling More Than $130 Billion, According To Research From Germany’S Ruhr University—To Citizens To Invest In Solar Energy. But Now The German Government Is Vowing To Cut The Subsidies Sooner Than Planned And To Phase Out Support Over The Next Five Years. What Went Wrong?
Subsidizing Green Technology Is Affordable Only If It Is Done In Tiny, Tokenistic Amounts. Using The Government’S Generous Subsidies, Germans Installed 7.5 Gigawatts Of Photovoltaic Capacity Last Year, More Than Double What The Government Had Deemed “Acceptable.” It Is Estimated That This Increase Alone Will Lead To A $260 Hike In The Average Consumer’S Annual Power Bill.
Yea We'Ve Been Telling You Green Jobs Idiots This For Years Now. Like We Have Said Over And Over Let The Free Market Perfect The Technology And If It Ever Becomes Viable We Wont Have To Subsidize It, Ppl Will Just Buy It Because It Makes Financial Sense.
Solar energy will probably still have an important role in the future, when it can be made economically viable without subsidies.
Real Alternatives To Coal Power Plant?
Anyone Know Any Real Solutions Or Alternative Energy To The Coal Power Plants? If You Have And Answer Can You Give Me The Location City, Country Of Where It Is Located At, So I Can Look Into It
As of now the only thing that can replace coal is nuclear power. Wind, tide, solar, geothermal, and hydroelectric do not produce enough power to meet current demands. If they did work then you would see renewable energy in widespread use. There is a reason you don't see "green" clean energy producing facilities everywhere.
Nothing can produce power as cheap as coal. It is numbers game like everything else in the world. Renewable energy has a long way to go before it works. Renewable energy is a joke until technology improves. I am a liberal Democrat and I support groups like Green Peace and The Sierra Club. These groups are unrealistic dreamers when it comes to energy needs.
Coal is dirty and severely damages the environment, but we need it. In fact we need more coal powered energy plants in America. Coal will save the United States once again just like it has done in the past.
The truth about coal: It is wicked bad for the environment, but the alternative (using oil) is much worse. Do your own research you will and you will see both sides of the green vs. coal argument have valid points.
Did you know a home in the Northern United States can supply all of its heating needs with $130 in coal for an entire winter? Due to inefficient power transmission infrastructure in America it would coast $3000 to do this with electricity.
Don't believe the hype coal is GOOD for America. I am a very liberal democrat and I side with Greenpeace on most issues.
If Solar Power Is Such A Great Energy Source,Why Do These Companies Need Taxpayer Money?
It is a great source of power but.........the materials and technology required to manufacture the cells is expensive and extensive. Not to mention, in terms of cost vs. time of productivity, their short lifespan.
Right now coal, nuclear and hydro can operate cheaper in an 8 year timespan. Average life of a solar cell is 10. So basically you are trying to profit off of 2 years of free power over a 10 year period.
Not a very good investment if you ask me. But hey, I'll throw some money at LDK, TSL and YGE when the Greenies start wetting their little panties........
5% return off of LDK and 8% off of JASO this year.
Is It True We Can`T Make A Solar Panel Without Oil.?
that is true.
Solar panels are either amorphous glass or plastic. You need some sort of energy to make either product. Theoretically you can use other energy sources to make the glass, but most of the time it is oil based energy. Plastic always requires some sort of petrochemical.
