About Solar Energy
Solar power is energy from the sun that is transformed into thermal or electrical energy.
Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable resource source available, and the United States has some of the richest solar resources worldwide. Modern innovation can harness this energy for a variety of usages, consisting of producing electricity, supplying light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial usage.
Solar power makes it possible for house owners to use the sun to power everyday life: running your air conditioning system, washing clothing, seeing TELEVISION, cooking supper. All while minimizing your carbon footprint, and without burning fossil fuels or putting a stress on the electrical grid. And while the ecological benefits of solar power are substantial, many property owners find that the convenience, special features, and expense savings of owning a solar power system are much more alluring.
Top 10 Advantages of Solar Energy
#1 Drastically minimize and even remove your electrical bills
Whether you're a property owner, service, or nonprofit, electrical energy expenses can make up a big portion of your month-to-month expenditures. With a photovoltaic panel system, you'll generate free power for your system's whole 25+ year lifecycle. Even if you do not produce One Hundred Percent of the energy you consume, solar will lower your energy bills and you'll still conserve a great deal of cash.
#2 Earn a terrific return on your financial investment
Photovoltaic panels aren't a cost-- they're one of the finest methods to invest, with returns rivaling those of more traditional investments like stocks and bonds. Thanks to significant electrical power bill savings, the typical American property owner settles their photovoltaic panel system in 7 to 8 years and sees an ROI of 20 percent or more.
#3 Protect versus increasing energy expenses
Among the most clear cut benefits of photovoltaic panels is the ability to hedge energy costs. In the previous 10 years, property electrical power costs have gone up by an average of 3 percent every year. By purchasing a solar energy system now, you can fix your electrical energy rate and protect against unpredictable boosts in electrical power expenses. If you're a business or homeowner with fluctuating cash flow, going solar likewise assists you much better forecast and handle your costs.
#4 Boost your home value
Multiple research studies have discovered that homes equipped with solar energy systems have higher property values and offer faster than non-solar homes. Appraisers are increasingly taking solar setups into factor to consider as they value houses at the time of a sale, and as homebuyers end up being more educated about solar, demand for residential or commercial properties geared up with photovoltaic panel systems will continue to grow.
#5 Boost U.S. energy independence
The sun is a near-infinite source of energy and a key component of achieving energy independence in the United States. By increasing our capacity to create electrical power from the sun, we can also insulate our nation from rate changes in international energy markets.
#6 Create jobs and assist your regional economy
Inning accordance with The Solar Foundation, the solar market included jobs at a rate almost 12 times faster than the general U.S. economy in 2015, representing 1.2 percent of all jobs in the country. This growth is anticipated to continue. Because solar-related tasks tend to be higher paying and can not be outsourced, they are a significant contributor to the United States economy.
#7 Secure the environment
Solar is a fantastic method to reduce your carbon footprint. Structures are accountable for 38 percent of all carbon emissions in the U.S., and going solar can considerably decrease that number. A normal property solar panel system will remove 3 to 4 heaps of carbon emissions each year-- the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.
#8 Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability
Sustainability and business social responsibility are essential parts of an organization's culture and values. They also produce bottom line results. Progressively, customers and neighborhoods are recognizing and rewarding businesses that choose to run properly. Organisations are discovering that "green" credentials are an effective driver of consumer getting decisions, developing goodwill and enhancing company outcomes.
#9 Start Conserving from Day 1
Solar purchase power agreements (PPAs) and solar leasing has actually made it possible for house owners to go solar for little or no cash down.
Many house owners pick to finance their solar panels with one of the "pay-as-you-go" funding options. This means that a third-party company-- the solar company-- owns the solar system and looks after installation, upkeep, tracking and repairs. You simply pay the solar service provider for electrical energy-- less than you would've paid the energy business.
Since June 2013, 75% of all American homes have access to pay-as-you-go solar.
#10. Solar is a Secure Financial investment
The energy business are notorious for their changing and undependable electricity prices. There is clearly an upward pattern.
With photovoltaic panels and simple mathematics, we can compute just how much electrical power will be created, and most significantly, at what rate, for a minimum of the next 20 years (fixed energy expenses).
What are the various payment options?
We have many flexible purchasing agreements for customers who would like to install a new home solar system. There are three different payment options, making them a viable choice for customers of all budgets. The payment options include Lease, PPA, and Purchase.
- Low, fixed payments each month
- System insurance for 20 years, including maintenance
- Flexible end-of-term options, including system upgrade, lease extension, and free panel removal
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- We own the solar panel system
- $0 down for installation
- Customers only pay for the solar energy that they use
- Customer pays for the system upfront and owns the system
- System monitoring and maintenance for 20 years
- Receive 30% federal tax credit
- See a return on investment within 7-10 years
What happens when the contract for my lease is finished?
We provide our customers with a few different options for when their lease contract is up. Customers can upgrade their equipment to the newest solar technology available, extend the agreement, or have the panels removed at no cost.
What is the warranty?
The Lease and PPA include a 20-year warranty during the lifetime of the system. This warranty exceeds that of most other solar installers’ warranties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Renewable Energy Form Has The Least Amount Of Negative Impact On The Envioronment?
Solar Is Nice, But How Much Energy & Chemicals Are Used To Make The Solar Panels.
Geothermal Is Nice Too, Except Along With The Steam Comes The Other Nasty Byproducts That Come Up With The Steam, Depending Upon Where The Steam Is Coming From.
Wind Is Nice Too, But What About The Cost, Energy & Materials Used To Make A Single 50 Kilowatt Turbine.
Ocean-Thermal Is Nice Too, But Vulnerable To Storms & Needs To Be Degunked Often. (The U Of Hawaii Attempted Otech Many Years Ago To Test Its Viability & Pitfalls).
All The Alternate Energy Solutions Require Components That Are Not Necessarily Conscientiously Green Friendly.
Which One Has The Least Impact On The Environment?
Methane from Biomass.
The methane is made from decaying organic waste which is inherently renewable.
The by product is carbon dioxide, but the net carbon cycle is neutral as the carbon in 're-absorbed' into new plants which become the fuel the next time around. This makes it better than fossil fuels which release carbon that has been trapped under ground for millenia.
The technology is well developed and highly efficient as in natural gas turbines.
Solar Panel Manufacturing?
Im Interested In Starting A Solar Panel Manufacturing Company. Ive Researched On How To Make Them And It Doesnt Look Too Hard, And Is Definitely Something I Can Figure Out. I Would Be Starting From Nothing So My Question Is What Are The Chances Of Me Actually Selling A Lot Of Panels And The Business Actually Succeding?
No solar manufacturer is really making much money right now, so panels are going for cutthroat prices. You will have to answer the following for your prospective business:
1) How much time and money will you allocate to regulatory approvals, such as UL? Without these, the panels are generally illegal for installation in a grid-tied system.
2) If you decide to forego the approvals, you could still sell the panels, but they would be for off-grid and hobbyists, and worth less. You would have to compete with solar laminate from places like sunelec.com
3) Figure out how much labor and material cost would go into each panel. Would you locate in the US? It's hard to beat the big players in China, in this commodity market. It would be like having a small company to make laptops, and trying to beat HP, Dell, and Lenovo.

How Can You Charge A Car Battery With Solar Panel?
I Have A 10 Watt Solar Panel. I Want To Charge A Car Battery With It. What Other Equipment Or Peripherals I Would Need?
That panel is too small to charge a car battery. You won't get more than half an amp out of it.
How To Make Solar Panel Turn Off Led When Light Contact With Solar Panel?
I'Ve Recently Connected A Solar Panel To A Battery Wires Which Connects To An Led Wiring. I'M Trying To Figure Out A Way, Even Make A Motherboard, To Make The Led Turn Off In Light And Charge The Battery But Don'T Know How. Please Help Me.
I just did one. I used a phototransistor in a voltage divider circuit hooked up to the reset pin of a 555 timer. then ground the trigger pin.
I had set up the circuit to blink the led as an option but if you ground the trigger i will not blink. But when the voltage on the reset pin (4) goes under .7 volts the output is low. Set up the phototransistor in series with a 10k resistor and tie the reset pin to the phototransistor.
So when the resistance of the phototransistor goes low enough the voltage across it goes less than .7 volts and the 555 turns off.
